This is a story of a world field with beast men,elves,dwarfs & humans, were a few individuals are granted a divine power from the gods called roushin which allows individuals to be chosen by divine beasts as their avatars so they can protect the weak among them. We a boy who shined from the darkest depth of hell to lead humanity to a better future.
In the woods near a village in the far north of the human kingdom known as the mi shah kingdom a squad of adventurers was confronted by a group of 5 orcs . The leader of the squad Leo a a first class knight(20), Tony a semi( a second class near first class) knight(20), Sasha a first class defender(18), Pedro a first class healer(15) & Mary a second class mage(20).
Leo: okay team I think we found the orcs who were causing trouble to the village.
Tony: u think !!!
Sasha: 5 orcs are too many orcs for a day aargh
Mary: Leo what are gonna do now
Leo: Sasha your gonna be on our main front, me and tony are gonna be at your right and left as Pedro your gonna stay at the middle and Mary is gonna stay at the stay at the back
Tony: ( huh is he losing it the healer is more important then the mage)
Sasha: "sure thing boss everyone get in position" as she slams her harmer on her shield making everyone on the field attentive and ready for battle
Pedro: oh forever light protect us your children as we march in to battle
As a white light surrounds them like armor fading away.
An hour passes as they already slayed the orcs, Tony , Sasha and Leo gasping for air as Pedro heals them by replenishing their strength Leo stands straight coughing as to say he wants to make an announcement.
Leo: everyone I want to make an announcement
(Sasha and Mary lock eyes as Sasha smiles at Mary as Mary's eyes widen and looks down and her face starts to turn red)
Tony:" what's up with you two ?" looking so confused
Leo: "me and Mary will be temporarily leaving the team" as he looks at Mary with affection
Tony: huh what !?
Pedro: please explain your self sir Leo why are you and Mary leaving
Tony: yeah why
Leo: Mary is pregnant with my child and I want to take this time to be with her
Pedro: The lunar star has blessed us with life.
Mary: I don't think you need to leave with me; you can continue with the team while I am expecting
Leo: no love am also responsible for the child I should be there with you every step of the way
As everyone seems to be happy, tony is not clutching his fist biting his lips
Tony: ("y y y y y y y is this happening now? lady storm-heart is gonna kill me when she finds out about this, what should I do?") As he stares at the dead corpse of the orcs, his face brightens up with an idea and wicked smile
Sasha: you, alright ?
Tony: " what oh am okay a matter of fact am excellent am going to be an uncle" as he smile and hugs Leo
As they were preparing to leave tony pulled a little stone shaped item with a rune sign in the middle "I knew this was gonna come in handy one day" as he waits for everyone to start leaving he threw the item on the orc's corpse without anyone looking and start walking a away and that's when Leo stops walking
Mary: what's wrong ?
Leo: I feel like something bad is gonna happen
Sasha: I hate it when you say that
Tony: why is everyone stopping ?
At that time Sasha, Mary , Pedro and Leo look at tony they see the orcs that they just killed start regenerating and as tony sees that everyone's attention is behind him, he looks and sees the orcs are reviving , as everyone is in shock tony smiles as he whispers "it worked" as one of the orcs jumps behind them ready to swing it's log at them immediately Sasha reacts by tanking the hit with her shield and realizes that the orcs are stronger than before as she pushes the orc Leo leaps at the orc in light speed, pulls out his sword and beheads it as he shouts at everyone to be ready for round two, he is left in shock as he is witnessing orcs are already in range to attack his team as Pedro immediately forms a shield of light around the team
Pedro: I can hold this only for ten minutes
Sasha: Leo we can't fight them now I don't what but they are stronger then before we have to retreat.
Leo: am thinking
Tony: "think faster" he says in a desperate tone
Leo: "I got it" he looks at tony and says "tony you still have the teleportation item you told me you had."
Tony: "oh that it's" ( now's my chance, I only got 5minites left )
Sasha: what's wrong ?
Tony: "I haven't tested it yet and plus I been told only a mage can use it" (now take the bate)
Mary: "give it to me" as she raises her hand, Leo intervenes
Tony: (yes) I can't it's dangerous you don't know what might happen ( 20 min left)
Mary: Leo you have to let me use it it's the only chance we got
Leo: tony give it to her
Tony: "but"
Sasha: tony !!!
Tony: "okay" says in low tone and pulls out the item from his bag and throws it to Leo
Leo: hands the item to Mary "don't die on me"
As Mary is ready to use the item Pedro screams "okay it's gonna break" Mary realizes the urgency of the matter she activate the item the second the orc's break through the shield and a purple light emanates from the Item blinding everyone and everything goes dark as Leo wakes up in the forest with a headache like he was knocked-out sees tony waking up and going to check on Sasha while Pedro on his knees vomiting with a smile he says "we survived" and a sense of realization comes as he notices that Mary is no where to be seen he shouts "Mary" over and over but Mary is no where to be seen.
A few weeks pass by Leo and the team are still looking for Mary but there are no signs of her. As the sun sets they reach a cliff in the woods as Leo reaches the cliff and looks at the sun set
Pedro: "sir Leo we have been looking for an entire week we haven't found Mary nor the orc's we faced please we have to go back home"
Tony: shut it dim whit when his ready he will say so
Sasha: she moves closer to Leo to talk to him "I know it hurts, I too know how it feels to lose someone close but walking aimless won't solve anything we have to get back home and investigate the item maybe it will lead us to Mary"
Leo: as a small tear leaves his eyes " okay let's do that"
We go one week back when Mary wakes up lying on grass and close to a waterfall like in the forest as she stands to see where she is, she realizes that there is no sky above her it's just pitch black and as the wind hits her a familiar smell comes to her as she tries to notice where she is by walking around she trips and falls on the ground, she looks at what made her trip, she sees a crystal like stone on the ground and she looks around her she notices more and more crystals on the ground shining a bright white light and then it hits her that she is in fact underground.
Mary: "how in the hell did I get here, ah shit it was the artifact"
Mary realized she was in an underground sanctuary because her father used work at mining site, he used to bring her some days as she had no one to look after her when she was young when her mother passed away. Mary was worried and started to get stressed thinking how and why she is there will she find a way out, how long will it take for her to get out but Mary being a mage com-med herself and assessed the situation. She first analyzed the area where she is at.
Mary: okay after looking around I realized there is only one way in and out of this area that's good and second due to the mark's left on the ground and scratches on the wall near the entry there are more then one creature down here now that's bad
In some mining sites there exists underground creatures indicating that there are sources of roushin crystals which are very valuable in the markets and can be used to make jewellery and weapons.
Mary: now what is important is survival I don't know how long it will take me to find a way out and what kind of creatures are done here with me so I need to make place fit for me to sleep and find food that won't harm the pregnancy
Slowly Mary starts gathering herbs she found in the sanctuary
Mary: good nothing healthy like vegetable, now a place to sleep I can't sleep on the grass what if a monster comes in the sanctuary and am just lying there like free food (come on Mary think think)
Mary's eyes widen as she has came up with an idea, she goes to the wall a place near the fountain she touches the wall with her hand and closes her eyes while she feels the earth
Mary: "PAVO" in a soft tone and "erase" in that one second her eyes change a lite sapphire like colour and a potion of the wall disappears leaving an empty square space. "now this I can work with" smiling while she holds her waist and turns around looking at the sanctuary entry and covers her mouth while she thinks in deep looking at entry. With a flick of her finger she shouts in a low tone "I got it" raising her right hand while holding it with her left hand and points a finger with her right hand at the top center of the entry, her finger starts to glow blue light and shoots out a beam of light at the top center of the entry the blast was strong enough to block the entry but Mary suddenly fell drawing breath as if she run a marathon
Mary: huh huh huh only two spells and am like this, I guess it's true when they say a pregnant female mage can't perform like usual huh so I need to re frame from using to much of my roushin
A week passes and Mary is still in the underground sanctuary with hope that his friends can still help find her. A month passes and Mary is still in the sanctuary as she stands at the edge of the fountain with sorrow mixed with tears she still has hope to be found by her friends. Three months go by like like water spilling from a cup, at the edge she stood three months ago
Mary: three months have just passed me Mary who faced hardship growing up watching my mother pass away from illness, taking care my depressed drunk of a father, I faced to much hardship and I thought that I wasn't destined for a joyful life but when I met Leo he changed my life in those moments with him I thought I could have that joyful life filled with happiness, fun and the desire to see tomorrow.
As she looks at her belly that shows signs of growing she touches her belly with tires in her eyes, as she cries slowly in her other hand she is holding a stone that she sharpened with the sole purpose to end her life as she reminisces the first time she met Leo;
A little girl sitting under a bridge crying interrupted by a question from a young well dressed boy
Young Leo: why are you crying ?
Little Mary: huh
Young Leo: I heard about you so young but already facing too much. I can't say I understand your feelings but all I can say are words of advice from a book I read "never accept defeat while you still draw breath because life has no end except for death."
(We return the present)
Mary: oh Leo my love I wonder what your up to right now, oh my friends I wonder were they are, are they looking for me or have they forgotten about me oh who cares maybe in the next life I'll have a joyful life.
As she looks above and closes her eyes with both hands holding the stone made for her ending, at the moment the stone was inches away her neck a sound can be heard the entry she blocked a strange sound as if the sound of a canon ( boom boom boom) the stones covering the entry explode as the entry is covered with dust Mary looks at entry with a little hope in her eyes that it may be Leo and her friends but eyes full of hope turn to eyes full of hate as the dust clears it reveals a creature but not any creature but a wild pig three times the size of Mary (Mary is 5'9 in height)
Mary: oh I see then rather than killing myself, death came for me .
She stretches her arms in each side ready to accept death, the wild boar looking at her in a menacing tone understood that it had a target and charged at her with the intention to kill, Mary waiting for the bull to reach her thinking to herself that this is the end, but at that very moment she felt movement in her belly and her eyes widen up looking at her unborn child fighting for life before it wasn't born, she smiles at the moment the boar almost reached her, then she teleport herself a few meters behind the boar she raises her arms at the boar forming a diamond shape with her hands.
Mary: "PAVO heed my call" a blue like sapphire aura forms around her body "perfect square" a glass like square forms around the boar making it trapped in the square and she puts her hands against each other as if she is praying and looks at the boar with the intent to kill as the boar sees her death stare with fear in its eyes the boar looses the ability to stand as the square makes a line in the middle, as the aura from Mary disperse the square vanishes leaving the boar cut in half "no rest for the wicked" says Mary but she suddenly looses concise.
Mary wakes up in a dark space surrounded by stars as if she was in space.
Mary: huh I haven't been here in a long time
Pavo: it truly has been a while dear child
As a peacock like being made from stars, as Mary smiles at pavo presence she turns pale immediately
Pavo: what's wrong dear child
Mary: you know mages can only see there roushins when the roushins want to see them
Pavo: yes that's true
Mary: so your gonna take me out here
Pavo: I wish I could child but your so deep in the earth that it would kill you if I tried to teleport you
Mary: then why do you want to see me
Pavo: hope. To give you hope
Mary: "you want to give me hope" in a silent tone "what could say or give me that would make want to live in this hellish pit hole" shouting in anger with tears of despair in her eyes.
Pavo: the life you carry oh dear child
Mary: clutching her fist "what about it"
Pavo: your child is destined to be the pillar of the future, a man who will lead the world toward peace.
Mary: "is my child the destined king"
Pavo: No, you know the destined king is already born, he is the one who will defeat a great evil that will plunge the world to darkness .
Mary: if the child is destined to be a savior then why was I fated in this realm, is there a way out please tell me pavo
Pavo: oh dear you will make it out of here, you shall see the light of day
Mary: how ?
Pavo: "all I can say is don't give up, don't lose hope am always watching remember" a bright light blinds Mary making her close her eyes.
When Mary opens here eyes she finds her self back at the sanctuary as she wakes up with tears from her eyes, holding her belly feeling her baby moving "oh young one destined for glory from the deepest parts of the abyss it's truly sad, aah now I can't even kill myself " Mary now understands that she needs to survive, she needs to prepare for the arrival of her child in this abyss while she can still manage to move. The following days Mary blocks the entry again, skins the boar to use it's skin to make clothes and other material, preserves the meat and starts to build the sanctuary in a way she and her child could live in.
Six months have passed since that day, Mary is sitting in the waterfall meditating as a sapphire like aura surrounds her body "I can feel it, it's time" Mary's water broke as she changes her position so she can deliver the baby, in so much pain Mary wonders in this life of pain why do I have to struggle alone as she screams and cries the waterfall starts to glow as a familiar voice starts to talk to Mary
Pavo: oh Mary my child born in sorrow so much pity I feel for you but you don't need despair because all your suffering have made you the woman you are today, be strong if not for yourself then be strong for the child.
Mary: with tears in her eyes she smiles but not in sorrow but in hope," I hope that my child can be stronger then me, strong enough to be able to live a happy life.
As her screams stop and the light from the waterfall fades the sanctuary becomes quit as if time became stopped but a load cry from a child born in darkness. As Mary wrap the baby with a blanket she made from the boar "oh my beautiful baby boy I feel so sad for you to be born in such a place but don't worry my child as you are the light that shall lead the way in the future I shall call you Onir."
