Chapter 50 - Chapter 50: Soft and Pale...

The silver seal looked exquisitely crafted—square in shape, its surface adorned with intricately carved dragons coiling around each other in perfect harmony. It was just a bit smaller than a fist, but its power was anything but small.

It had just given the four girls quite the shock—and left Ryuya with a serious headache.

Clearly, as the seal's master, all four beautiful girls were putting the blame squarely on him...

"Let me make this clear first—this wasn't my idea."

Ryuya raised his hands in mock surrender, declaring his innocence.

But nobody believed him.

"Ara ara~ I understands," Akeno said with her gentle smile, her mature curves only making that teasing tone of hers even more dangerous. "Boys your age are bound to start... growing in certain ways, right?"

Koneko, on the other hand, was blunt as ever. "Ryuya, you're such a perv."

"..."

I swear it's not my fault.

Ryuya sighed helplessly, glancing at the silvery familiar mark buzzing excitedly before him like a little bee. He flicked it lightly with his finger and muttered, calm but exasperated, "This is your doing."

"So," Rias asked with an odd look as she gazed down at the glowing '正' character stamped near the base of her thigh, "how do we remove this? Do we just wait for it to wear off?"

That mark… somehow looked way too indecent.

She tried channeling her demonic power, but it felt as though her energy was sealed under a mountain—immovable and unbearably heavy.

The '正' mark was like a super-level seal, completely locking her powers in place.

Even when she managed to gather a small spark of magic to probe at the seal, it was instantly snuffed out.

The girls were all shocked—but at the same time, somewhat impressed. The effect was so strong it could easily turn the tide of battle.

Ryuya pursed his lips slightly as he glanced over at the four of them.

No denying it—each of them was stunning. Their skin was soft, pale, and perfect, almost glowing under the light. Beautiful? Absolutely. But as alluring as the view was, if he kept staring, things might get awkward real fast...

After syncing his mind with the familiar seal to understand how to remove it, Ryuya let out a quiet cough.

"Ahem... So, the thing is—these seals can only be erased by me, personally. Otherwise, you'd have to slowly grind them away with magic power bit by bit, or just wait until they naturally fade."

Based on Rias's earlier attempt, that would easily take over an hour.

"I see. Then hurry up and get rid of them," Rias said, beckoning him closer. "Having my magic sealed like this feels awful."

"On it."

Ryuya stepped forward. Rias lifted her leg and placed her foot up on the sofa—making it easier for him to reach.

That pose... was way too sexy.

He couldn't help but take a couple of extra glances before placing his hand on her thigh and gently wiping over the seal. The '正' mark vanished in an instant.

"My turn, then~" Akeno leaned closer, her voice honey-sweet and teasing enough to melt steel.

Ryuya tried to keep his gaze steady—eyes to nose, nose to heart—but there were just too many distracting sights in his peripheral vision...

"Don't touch anywhere weird," Koneko warned sharply when it came to her turn, her silver hair glinting under the light.

"Yes, yes. How about I make it up to you with some ice cream later?" Ryuya replied with a grin, running his palm across her thigh to remove the mark.

"Fine," Koneko answered, her tone softening just a bit as her expression eased.

So easy to please.

The girls' magic power slowly returned, and each of them used it to conjure new clothes around themselves.

"All in all, Ryuya and Asia finally have their familiars. That's something worth celebrating!" Rias said with one hand on her hip, her elegant, commanding aura radiating effortlessly.

"Oh my, that's right," Akeno added with a teasing smile. "Have you two thought of names for your familiars yet?"

Asia hugged her baby dragon tightly, her big eyes curving into cheerful crescents.

"Hmm… this must be a blessing from heaven! I'll call him Ryuraiden!"

(T/N: Meaning: Dragon of Lightning and Thunder)

"Hehe, taking Ryuya's name, huh?" Rias teased with a knowing grin.

Asia giggled sweetly, turning toward Ryuya. "Is that okay?"

"Of course. You don't need my permission for something like that," he replied gently.

His warm tone made Asia smile even brighter. She rubbed her forehead affectionately against her tiny dragon's head.

"Then it's settled~ My baby Ryuraiden!"

The baby dragon flapped its wings happily and let out a cheerful cry. "Eee~~~!"

At the same time, Ryuya raised his hand, and the silver seal flew obediently into his palm.

"I'm terrible at naming things… do you already have a name?" he asked with a small, helpless smile.

The familiar, connected to him by thought, sent back a clear feeling: it had no name—it had simply always been.

Rias and the others laughed softly at that. Rias tapped her chin in thought and said,

"Then how about naming it after its power? Let's see... Seal of Devil Suppression? Or Magic-Sealing Crest? Haha, sounds like something perfectly fitting for someone in your chuunibyou phase, Ryuya."

"I don't recall ever having a chuunibyou phase," Ryuya said defensively.

"Really? Then what about that collection of mecha figures all over your room?" Rias teased, smiling slyly.

Ryuya chuckled lightly. "Mecha are a man's romance. That's not chuunibyou."

"Fufu~ Then why don't you come up with something not chuunibyou, Mr. Romantic?" Rias shot back, laughing.

Ryuya tilted his head, thinking for a moment… before giving up entirely.

"...Hmm. How about Aegiron? It rolls off the tongue well enough."

"..."

Rias and Akeno exchanged looks.

So he did come up with something good, huh...

Still, for Ryuya and his familiar—the Spirit King of Seals—a name was just a label. Neither of them really cared. Having one was enough.

The little creature flapped its wings, looking absolutely delighted.

Seeing everything settled, Rias clapped her hands with a bright smile, drawing everyone's attention.

"Alright! After this little celebration, let's get to forming your contracts. The task of handing out flyers can be left to your familiars now."

They held a small celebration—nothing grand, just some snacks and sweets that somehow all ended up in Koneko's stomach.

Then it was back to work.

Ryuya turned toward his familiar with a soft smile.

"It's your first day on the job, so do your best out there, alright?"

The Magic-Sealing Crest aka Aegiron flapped its wings energetically, clearly eager to head out.

After all, this was its first time in the human world—it had been dying to explore.

Familiars, much like devils and angels, could use a mysterious ability known as "Common Sense Alteration," so there was no need to worry about them causing chaos.

Everyone handed their flyers to their familiars and watched them flutter out the window into the sky. Soon after, they each went their separate ways—everyone had their own contract assignments to fulfill.

As for Ryuya, he now had one contract of his own to maintain—his Faith Contract with Sakurajima Mai. It was a bond worth cherishing carefully.

Hopefully, his familiar would also help him find a new contractor or two...

Well then—no point wasting time.

Time to check in on Mai, strengthen their bond a bit, and maybe help her fulfill another wish.

After all, every granted wish came with its own little price.
