Qiu Huayan, realizing it was her boss in front of her, looked anxious and reminded him, "We can't retreat!"
Jetray was stunned, then finally cast his gaze around the ground and walls, only to discover Plumbers lying around, dazed, their uniforms mostly torn.
"They're all knocked out???" But thinking about it, if Talon was who he thought she was, it wasn't surprising these Plumbers were beaten so badly.
Female, muscular, from DC, wielding a sword and shield.
Could this girl opposite him be from Paradise Island?
No, Amazons aren't just from Paradise Island; there's also a lost Amazonian tribe.
They seem to worship an Egyptian god named Isis.
Sounds like she wouldn't be good at cards, and her brother's facial nerves are very developed.
Cough, cough, cough... the topic got sidetracked.
Since everyone here is on our side, and they're all unconscious, we really can't run. So... I'll switch battlefields with her!
Jetray made up his mind; this was the optimal solution. His massive wings suddenly unfurled, and the air current they generated stirred up dust from the ground into the air.
He pushed off the ground, rocketing out of the window he came through like a red bolt of lightning.
In the night sky, Jetray's flight speed grew faster and faster, carving a path through the clouds. Then, he changed direction in mid-air, performing a wide loop. Using the inertia from his dive and his own speed, he broke the sound barrier, rocketing back like a cannonball, crashing towards Talon.
Talon clearly hadn't anticipated this sudden attack. Before she could react, Jetray slammed into her squarely. The immense impact sent her flying.
The wind howled in his ears. Jetray, carrying Talon, continuously accelerated, flying away from the warehouse as clouds rapidly streaked past them.
Soon, Talon reacted. Her long sword now seemed a bit too long, but the shield in her hand was just right.
She swung her shield and smashed it hard into Jetray's back. The shield collided with his body, emitting a deafening thud.
Jetray felt a tremendous force, and the intense pain made him grunt. He plummeted towards the ground like a meteor.
"Boom!"
Jetray crashed heavily into the forest floor, kicking up dust that rose like a mushroom cloud. The surrounding trees trembled from the impact.
She struggled to get up, but felt like all her bones were dislocated. Every movement was accompanied by excruciating pain.
This was the first time she couldn't overpower an opponent after transforming into an alien hero.
Not long after, something else crashed to the ground nearby, like a plane wreck.
The surrounding dust was stirred up everywhere by the two women crashing to the ground.
Talon slowly pulled herself out of the ground, stretched her slightly dislocated joints, and gripped her sword and shield. Although her Talon uniform was largely worn, she still moved with steady steps, walking towards Jetray one step at a time.
Watching the figure approaching through the dust, Jetray was somewhat annoyed.
First time, this was the first time she had been in such a sorry state.
If she wasn't mistaken, it was also her first time fighting a true superhuman.
She shook her body, and gravel and dirt rained down. A roar escaped her throat: "You want to fight someone with comparable power, huh? Then I'll find you a Four Arms!"
As soon as she finished speaking, she slammed the flashing Omnitrix symbol on her chest.
In an instant, a dazzling purple light erupted, tearing through the surrounding dust like lightning.
Within the light, Jetray's form began to twist and change. Her original female pterodactyl-like body began to transform, and a second pair of arms grew out.
Four eyes, glowing with an eerie purple light, slowly opened, emitting a captivating glow in the darkness.
Talon's pupils contracted sharply. Just as she raised her guard to the highest level, a mass of something suddenly shot towards her.
The object was incredibly fast, leaving a white afterimage in the air, and was in front of her in the blink of an eye.
In an emergency, Talon quickly raised her shield. With a dull thud, contrary to what she expected, the shield easily blocked the attack.
She frowned, examining the shield, and found a sticky mass adhering to it, clinging in strands, like... some kind of spider silk?
"Spider Monkey!"
As the dust gradually cleared, a small, blue-skinned monkey with Four Arms appeared in view.
Gwen, now Spider Monkey, scratched her head and grumbled, "Annoying! I wanted Four Arms to come out and help, but not this one."
She had originally intended to transform into Four Arms, to match strength with strength.
But she hadn't expected to accidentally press too hard.
Spider Monkey possesses the agility of a monkey, with extremely fast reactions, and her tail can shoot webs as strong as steel.
Never mind, Spider Monkey is also very good, or rather, exactly what is needed right now.
After all, she actually wanted to subdue the opponent first, and then repair her DNA.
Shrugging her shoulders resignedly, her Four Arms swung nimbly. Spider Monkey zipped up a thick tree nearby.
She squatted in the tree fork, her tail flicking nimbly, occasionally shooting out strands of web-like material downwards, drawing silver arcs in the air as they flew towards Talon.
Talon looked very serious, quickly raising her shield to block. "Bang, bang, bang" sounds rang out successively as the webs hit the shield, splattering fine goo.
But Spider Monkey wasn't the friendly neighbor next door; the webs she shot out were almost as thick as her tail.
This meant a large quantity.
As time passed, Talon caught more and more webs. The sticky material layered and adhered to the shield's surface, quickly caking the shield into a large blob.
The originally light shield became exceptionally heavy. Talon's swings were noticeably less agile than before, and her movements began to slow down.
Spider Monkey, hiding in the tree, keenly noticed this. A glint of cunning flashed in her purple eyes, and she suddenly increased the frequency of her web-shooting.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh," three strands of web shot out like arrows. Talon hastily raised her shield to block, but because the shield was now somewhat cumbersome, the middle strand of web couldn't be blocked and stuck directly to her body.
Talon's pupils constricted. Just as she was about to do something, she didn't expect that the last strand of web was still connected to Spider Monkey's tail and hadn't broken.
Confirming that the last strand of web was connected to the shield, though somewhat regretful it wasn't connected to the opponent, Spider Monkey still pulled back. The immense tug made the distracted Talon temporarily lose her grip on her shield. With a "clang," the shield flew out of her hand and landed a great distance away.
"Is that all? Looks like some people don't have a turtle shell to use anymore, Yo~ Woo-ah, woo-ah, woo-ah!"
Spider Monkey bared her snow-white teeth, letting out a highly provocative shriek at Talon, followed by a burst of piercing, monkey-like laughter that echoed through the forest.
As she laughed, she kept slapping her belly with her four hands, her tail wagging triumphantly.
Talon ignored her, merely walking mechanically towards where the shield had fallen, intending to retrieve it.
This puzzled Spider Monkey. Losing a shield didn't mean she couldn't fight anymore. It seemed this shield was quite valuable.
When she arrived at the base of the tree where Spider Monkey was, before she could pick up the shield, she felt something fall from the air.
She looked up, and it was another ball of web.
Talon reacted extremely quickly, slashing horizontally with her long sword, twisting her wrist to block the web aside.
But the moment the web was knocked away, she realized there was something behind it.
Spider Monkey, using the cover of the web, seized the opportunity and leaped from the tree. Using the inertia of her descent, she delivered a powerful flying kick, squarely hitting Talon in the chest.
The immense impact instantly made Talon lose her balance, stumbling backward and falling to the ground with a "thud."
Before Talon could react, Spider Monkey quickly jumped up again, adjusted her tail, and began frantically spraying webs at the fallen Talon.
Silver-white webs rained down. Talon had just propped herself up to try and get up when she felt a binding force on her body. More and more webs wrapped around her limbs and body.
In a short while, Talon was completely stuck to the ground by the webs, unable to move, only able to struggle desperately.
