Author's pov
Back at the camp, news soon spread of the arrest of two members of the purple Lagoon. The women gossiped about it while storing weapons, the children couldn't even focus on their combat training ever since they heard about the sad news. Mon'itei on the other hand was in his chamber with Cobra, Laden, Luka and some of the men. Nobody in the room had happy expressions on their faces, everyone was either scared or angry. Mon'itei sat on his seat glaring at the floor while murmuring something. Nwauwa (Aron's mom don't forget her) soon joined them, she looked stressed which was understandable. Nobody had still found her son, it's been almost weeks and still no news from him. She wanted to leave the camp and look for him but mon'itei didn't allow her.
"They think they've won"
Everyone jerked their heads towards the devil himself as he spoke
"But they're wrong"
"Great leader with all due respect, these people are seriously after us. We're loosing our best warriors one by one, first it was Aron now Agu and Eben" Luka said
Mon'itei kept quiet
"My lord i think we should just surrender, i miss my son"
Everyone turned towards the weaker vessel that just made the unspeakable comment.
"You must be crazy and out of your mind!" Mon'itei yelled at Nwauwa
She flinched abit but still stood her ground. The whole clan might be scared of mon'itei but there was one person who could stand before him without cowering and that was Nwauwa. She came out of the corner she was hiding and faced him
"I'm neither crazy nor am I out of my mind. I'm just saying the bitter truth, they're already winning, they have Aron, Agu and Eben. Why loose more when we can just surrender? I thought we were doing all this to avenge what the Lagos government did to us, why are we sacrificing our comrades?" She said bodly
Everyone just stared at her in shock while waiting for mon'itei's reaction
"Woman how dare you speak to me in that manner?!" He thundered
"With all due respect dear husband" she laid more emphasis on the "husband" "I'm your wife and I have every right to say my opinion especially when it has to do with my son! When we began this movement, you promised to get justice for us but all I've seen is you sacrificing our sons and daughters for your selfish interests"
The gang gasped as she said the words fearlessly
Mon'itei was a bit taken aback, he just stared at his "calm" wife as she became fearless before him. He stood up and moved closer to her trying to intimidate her but she stood where she was
"Repeat what you just said" he said with an evil smirk
"You heard me the first time, you're not the hero like you claim. You're the real villain here...you and the government, there's no difference between you two" she spat angrily
Mon'itei had reached his limit, with pure rage he grabbed her neck and slapped her hard causing her to fall
"Don't you ever compare me to those monsters again!" He shouted
Luka quickly stood up to block him from hurting his sister but hesitated
"You're the real monster here! You're not fighting for the purple clan anymore, you're just after your own interest" Nwauwa screamed holding her cheeks
"Sister shut up!" Luka yelled when he saw mon'itei was ready to kill her
"Don't tell me to shut up! He's using all of you! Open your eyes and see, he's not fighting our battle but his own. My people please don't let him blindfold you!" She shouted talking to the crowd in the room
The women and children outside stopped everything they were doing when they heard screams coming from the chamber. They could hear Nwauwa's voice as it spoke fearlessly through the chamber
"Shut the fuck up" mon'itei yelled as he slapped and kicked her repeatedly
Everyone in the room just watched as the devil struck the poor woman repeatedly with a cold heart. Luka just stood there with a blank face, though Nwauwa was his sister he was more loyal to mon'itei than he was to her. After all mon'itei was fighting for them, he was their hero and whatever action he took would forever be acceptable to him.
"You want to spoil the mind of the clan, i won't allow that" mon'itei said then he faced his men "don't trust a thing she just says, every sacrifice you make for this group brings us closer to winning this battle. I'll not lead you guys astray so please trust me and just give me nothing but your full support"
All the men just looked at eachother mumbling something then they faced mon'itei again
"You have our full support" they chorused
Mon'itei smiled and then turned to Laden
"Lock her up in the killing room till I come up with a punishment for her"
Laden nodded and heartlessly dragged a screaming Nwauwa away
"You're a monster Kelvin!!!" She yelled, saying his real name
"Enough of the distraction, Luka i want you and your men to hack the military website and find out where they're keeping Agu and Eben. Cobra gather your men, once they find the location i want you to attack with your men. The rest of you will come with me"
"Where to?" A muscular guy in the room asked
"To pay the oracle a visit" he smirked
Laden soon walked in "I've locked her up great leader"
"Good. I want you to contact Ola and ask her to find out everything about the governor, i know his wife is dead so we can't use that against him. But I know he has a daughter, ask her to find out her name and details"
Laden nodded and walked out, Luka with his techie men got into action as they tried to hack the military website, it was an easy job for them cause in less than a minute, they found where Agu and Eben were. Luka gave the location to Cobra who smiled and then left with his men.
As all these was going on, mon'itei had already disappeared with his men to pay the oracle a visit.

Lagos
Eko hotel
2am in the morning
Luna was in her hotel room pacing around, she couldn't get any sleep last night. Her daughter's death had really shattered her, she was only seven, too innocent to be dragged into her mother's mess but that did stop Kelvin from killing her.
"This is all my fault, if only I had listened. I wanted more power and recognition, the oracle offered me and I foolishly joined them. Now our past sin is out to get us" she cried as she looked at a picture of her daughter smiling
They had taken that picture on her birthday after she went back to south Africa, only to retun to Nigeria to hear that her daughter was brutally murdered in her school by unknown people
"Unknown people my foot, i swear the purple Lagoon will pay for this" she gritted her teeth
"And who will make them pay, you?" A mocking voice said
Luna turned in fear as her eyes landed on the devil that just walked into her room... mon'itei
"Oh God..." She suddenly dashed for the telephone in the room "hello security please help, the purple Lagoon is in my room"
The other line didn't respond
"Hello?! Hello?!" She panicked
Mon'itei just stood where he was smiling at her
"Don't bother sweetie, the telephone lines are down. No one is coming to help you"
Luna dropped the telephone shaking and then dashed towards her phone but mon'itei quickly grabbed it. He threw it on the floor and then smashed it with his feet
"Please don't harm me" Luna cried
"Give me one reason I shouldn't" he glared
Luna kept mute, her heart was repeatedly pounding, beads of sweat and goosebumps washed over her body. She wanted to scream but she knew it was no use, she was completely helpless
"Just remain calm then I won't hurt you for now but try any stupid moves like running out of the door then you should consider yourself dead" he threatened
Luna just nodded and clutched her tummy in pain
"What do you want?" She stammered
"Nothing much just names and locations" he said as he walked closer to her
"What do you mean?"
"A guy fell off the roof while trying to kill the governor, where's he?"
"I don't understand what you're saying"
"Where the hell are you people keeping my son, the one there's a manhunt for"
Luna finally understood him
"Um we don't know, the oracle hasn't found him yet" she rapped out
Mon'itei nodded feeling relieved. This means that Aron hasn't been captured yet, meaning he could be stranded somewhere or probably dead.
"Fine. Now I'm going to send a warning message to the oracle" he smirked
"Please if it's about your two men, just know I'm not part of that. Please just leave me alone, you've already taken away my daughter from me. I don't have anything for you" she begged
Mon'itei chuckled, the kind of chuckle that will make your heart disappear in fear. Luna just stared at him, praying he won't kill her
"I should leave you alone? After everything you and the oracle put me through? You must be joking." He gritted
"I'm so sorry, i was ambitious then. I had no idea everything would turn out this way" she cried
"I still have nightmares of the horror you guys put me through. How you tortured my body till you got want you want, now I'm back to take my revenge and what rightfully belongs to me"
Luna just swallowed hard "you want the virus"
"Yes and to take out my anger on everyone. As for my two men that you captured, I'm already taking them back as we speak"
"They're no longer there" luna said
"What do you mean?"
"Martin moved them out of the military base. He knew you would come for them, he moved them to a secret place..."
Mon'itei tapped his earpod to contact Cobra
"Great leader, they're not here" cobra said from the other side
Mon'itei gritted his teeth angrily, that bastard had outsmarted him. He grabbed Luna's neck and squeezed it hard
"Where are they?!"
"I...i...i will tell you..you..if you promise not to kill me" Luna struggled to say
"You're not one to make demands right now. Speak before I kill you"
"You...you can go ahead and kill me if you want but just know you'd never find your men" Luna smiled even though she couldn't breath. She had the upper hand now
Mon'itei glared at her angrily, he reluctantly released her.
"Uh uh uh" Luna gasped for air as he let go of her "they were taken to the oracle's second base in Aba, kwame is the one guarding them."
"I see, so he wants to take this battle to Abia state, challenge accepted" he smiled
"I've given you the info you wanted now please leave me alone" Luna said massaging her neck
"A devil never keeps promises, once a liar always a liar" he leaned closer looking into her horrified eyes
Luna shifted back in shock
"But...."
Before she could finish, two bullets pierced through her head and she fell down. Her blood splashed all over the wall and all over the bedsheet. Mon'itei just glared at her body holding a gun
"Ugly soul" he spat on the dead body
"Clean any trace to us" he directed to one of his men who was standing behind him
"Yes sir" the guy nodded and got to work, cleaning their fingerprints with bleach and removing any other trace of them
"Cobra gather your men, I'm sending you to Aba, Abia state. That's were Agu and Eben are" mon'itei said through his earpod
"Roger that oga sir" Cobra said
