At 8 PM, Luo arrived at the tavern as promised. He initially thought it was a private treat, but upon arrival, he realized he was mistaken. The entire tactical team was there; it was more like a team-building event.
"Hey, Barry, so early." Luo greeted him with a smile. He was very familiar with the tactical team.
"It's not early, it's evening now." Barry was a very composed person, never smiling. He was also very righteous. Initially, he was disdainful of Luo, but after some events, he came to appreciate his character. They're all essentially the same; sometimes they just don't have a choice. Their methods differ, but the result is the same.
Just as the two were chatting, another person entered through the door.
Jill was dressed casually today: a strapless tank top with two straps around her neck, a short skirt, and high boots. She looked youthful and vibrant, but also quite revealing. Wasn't this the classic look from the game? She even had a towel around her waist, presumably for wiping sweat after running or other exercise.
Looking at the alluring Jill, Luo's eyes instantly lit up. "So beautiful."
"Then work hard," Barry smiled, patting Luo's shoulder. "If you want to do something, just do it. Don't regret it later."
Luo walked over, full of energy. He really needed a woman to help him. "Hey Jill, you look beautiful tonight."
Jill smiled at Luo. "Not as beautiful as those women on the street."
"In my eyes, you're the most beautiful." Luo gestured invitingly. "How about we have a drink together?"
"Sure." Jill agreed without hesitation. If Luo hadn't saved her today, she wouldn't have drunk with him. She didn't like him; in fact, she felt a certain aversion to him because of his shady dealings; he was clearly not a good person.
A lewd laugh escaped Luo's lips. His plan was to get Jill drunk.
They sat down, and Luo ordered a strong cocktail. "I've always hated things that cause chaos. I had to live independently from a young age. So I know how messed up reality is. She's a bitch. You either enjoy it or you rebel. I chose to rebel. At least I can't die, and I don't want to die."
Jill listened to Luo, propping her face up with her hand, occasionally taking a sip of her drink. It was clear she was a good drinker. Listening to Luo's words, her impression of him gradually changed.
Barry stopped several people who tried to greet him, seemingly happy to facilitate this interaction between the two.
"So, you have your reasons? I'm sorry, I misunderstood you before," Jill said, picking up her glass. "Let me toast you."
"You're welcome. Only after spending time together can you know if someone is a good person or a bad one. You're the most beautiful woman I've ever met, full of spirit, and have a very independent and strong personality. I like you very much," Luo said, making no attempt to hide his admiration.
Jill gently touched her hair, a gesture that made her appear very feminine. "Thank you for your kindness, but I'm not thinking about having a boyfriend right now."
"Thank you, I like your straightforwardness. Even if there's no opportunity right now, being friends is fine, right? I hope we can be good friends. I don't want to be a good person, but I don't want to be a bad person either. With you here, I will maintain my principles as always." Luo was quite nonchalant, not expecting to win Jill over on the first try. "Hehe, you're quite an interesting person." Jill picked up her glass and started drinking. Before they knew it, the two of them had downed several bottles of cocktails.
Luo was alright; he'd drunk some yogurt beforehand, which helped to sober up. Jill, however, was quite tipsy, mainly because Luo's story was so appealing to her. His tale of an ordinary person's rise to power felt relatable, and his journey from a hoodlum to a patrol detective was very interesting.
After a few rounds of drinks, both were a little tipsy. Luo checked the time. "That's about enough. I'll take you home. Get some rest; you must be tired today."
"No need, I can get home by myself," Jill said, rubbing her head and shaking her head in refusal.
Luo wasn't giving up. He continued, "I'm worried about you being like this. Since we're friends, it's only right that I take you home. Besides, we're going the same way, and I have errands to run later."
Jill didn't ask what the errands were. After a moment's thought, she said, "Okay, sure."
He hadn't driven, but instead hailed a taxi to take Jill home.
Jill lived in a studio apartment. These kinds of apartments were cheap, small, with only a small living room and a bedroom, basically a one-bedroom apartment with a small kitchenette.
Arriving at the apartment building, Jill didn't go up but turned around and said, "Thanks, I'm here."
"Okay, goodnight." Luo said, preparing to leave, but suddenly turned back. "Wait, Jill."
Jill looked puzzled. "What is it?"
"Can I use the bathroom?" Luo asked helplessly, spreading his hands.
Pfft, Jill suddenly laughed. It wasn't actually funny, but she thought it was hilarious that a gang leader needed to use the bathroom. "Okay, come with me."
Luo was overjoyed. He had found a reason to go to the other person's apartment victory.
Upon arriving at the apartment, Luo used the bathroom, twitching his cock It was twenty centimeters thick, and tonight was the time to start having some fun. He hadn't had the chance before, saving it for now.
Jill was smoking in the living room, a bottle of beer on the table. "You can leave now."
Luo didn't leave. Instead, he picked up the beer and drank it. "Thanks for the treat."
Jill got up and went to the bathroom. "You're welcome."
Luo took out a sleeping pill, very effective. He then took another bottle of beer, opened it, poured it into a glass, and put the sleeping pill in.
Jill quickly came out, still a little tipsy. She glanced at Luo. "Why haven't you left yet?"
"I'll leave in a bit. I still have some time. Want to sit here for a bit? Can I borrow a seat?" Luo said with a smile. "Want a drink?"
Jill, instead, took a water glass from the refrigerator. "Suit yourself. I'm dizzy. Just close the door behind you." She had no idea that the water had also been drugged!
