Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Principal Danced a Peacock Dance for Grandpa and Me

When he saw Zhang Xinyue again, there was no ripple in his heart.

Even in their previous lives, the two had only drifted apart, with no drama of a simp chasing a gold-digger, so there was no need to stay estranged forever.

Moreover, after being reborn, he only wanted to make money.

With the mind and memories of a 40-year-old, having seen so many beautiful girls, and a vast forest waiting for him to conquer, why would he hang himself on one tree?

Chen Pingjiang was destined not to be able to focus all his attention on women, with his mind full of thighs, like an eighteen-year-old boy.

Being with an eighteen-year-old girl was fine, but talking about love was not.

It might not be impossible to casually flirt with someone he liked, but spending time to maintain a relationship, coax, and accompany was too torturous.

"Damn it, how dare he flirt with my grand-aunt! I'll beat him to death."

Zhou Guanghan looked at Chen Pingjiang's indifferent expression, thought his grand-uncle was angry, and immediately rolled up his sleeves, ready to fight.

"Hey, Erzi, what are you doing! They've already broken up, there's no need."

Chen Pingjiang grabbed Zhou Guanghan's shoulder and glared at him.

Don't let Zhou Guanghan's quiet and honest demeanor fool you; he was also a school bully at Sanzhong.

Annoying him was fine, but annoying Chen Pingjiang?

You'd better try.

He was burly and strong, not fat, having done a lot of farm work as a child and studied sports for three years.

He never backed down from a fight but knew when to hold back, unlike the hotheads outside of school.

Perhaps hearing the commotion behind them, Zhang Xinyue and Tan Ke, who were walking ahead, turned to look back.

Seeing Zhou Guanghan's tower-like physique, Tan Ke, who wasn't very tall to begin with, turned pale.

He didn't know whether to walk or stop, his awkward hands unsure of where to go.

Zhang Xinyue's eyes brightened for a moment when she saw Chen Pingjiang, then, as if she thought of something, she rolled her eyes and turned her head away somewhat haughtily, continuing towards the classroom.

Having lived two lives, Chen Pingjiang knew what she was thinking from just a glance and a gesture.

Hoping for him to coax her? She could dream on.

This was the perfect opportunity to make a clean break, sever ties completely, and absolutely not affect his grand plan for making money.

Entering the classroom, he found his seat and sat down.

The homeroom teacher, Yan Guoping, walked in.

"If your college applications are well-chosen, you won't miss out on university, and you won't have job worries. Be sure not to be too ambitious, lest you meet the score but can't get in.

For your major choice, try to consider job prospects after graduation, don't blindly apply for obscure majors and end up jobless. It's still best to choose some big cities or provincial capitals.

That way, after graduating from university, when you settle down and look for a job locally, you'll have more resources available. As for majors, accounting, finance, civil engineering, business English, these are all pretty good..."

Chen Pingjiang couldn't be bothered to listen to Yan Guoping's serious drivel.

He had been "beaten" by society and "trained" by Zhang Xuefeng.

Back then, he attended a regular second-tier university, but in the end, he didn't learn anything useful, had no social circle, no connections, and could only work in sales after graduation.

"Grand-uncle, you're applying for that business college in the neighboring city, right? I'll pick whichever school is close to it."

Zhou Guanghan's thinking was simple: he would go to whichever city Chen Pingjiang went to for school.

It didn't matter if he couldn't get into the same university or major; a nearby university would do, or even a vocational college at the same university if absolutely necessary.

"No, I'm choosing a different one."

Chen Pingjiang shook his head.

"Are you kidding? Isn't it better to snag a 211 university? Why would I go back to a regular second-tier university? A 211 in a big city will be very convenient later, whether for starting a business or anything else."

As for not seeing the people from his memories again if he changed schools, that didn't matter either.

Living a second life meant living it differently.

Chen Pingjiang chose Dongjiang University of Finance and Economics and picked Dongjiang Sports Institute for Zhou Guanghan.

"Chen Pingjiang, what kind of major is marketing, and what can you do after graduation?"

A girl with single eyelids in front turned her head and asked, tilting it slightly.

Chen Pingjiang didn't look up and replied,

"Selling insurance, selling cars, selling houses."

"Is accounting a good major?"

"A regular accountant starts at 3000 salary, an excellent one starts after 3 years. Careless people and those with too many tricks up their sleeves shouldn't study accounting."

"My dad told me to apply for civil engineering!"

"It seems your dad really hates you."

...

The surrounding students gathered around, joined the group chat, and asked questions eagerly.

"What's wrong with civil engineering? My dad said it's easy to find a job."

"If you're an ancient divine body for concrete pouring, a mortal descendant of the Concrete Star, then I recommend applying for civil engineering."

As the saying goes, "listen to advice and eat your fill."

Seeing the kid in front of him defiantly questioning him, Chen Pingjiang immediately put aside his desire to help and respected others' destinies.

He remembered who the freckle-faced, skinny-as-a-monkey person in front of him was.

Zhang Xing.

His experience in his previous life was a replica of the "Civil Engineering Bible."

Chen Pingjiang highly suspected that the "Civil Engineering Bible" was written based on his life.

"That year, filled with aspirations, I applied for civil engineering, lay flat for four years, my girlfriend left, stayed up all night pouring concrete, picked up excrement in the basement, 'not drinking is looking down on me,' indulged in Heaven on Earth, ran away with a bucket, hastily married, the industry declined, forced to lay off, civil engineering dog BBQ, civil engineering dog designated driver, driver's license revoked, promoted to Evergrande Five-Star General, if there's concrete, I'll be recalled."

"Chen Pingjiang, didn't you say that graduating with a business administration degree from a second-tier university means immediate unemployment, and you'd only be able to process credit cards door-to-door? Why are you choosing this too?"

Chen Pingjiang haughtily lifted his chin,

"I have a throne to inherit."

Business administration, ranked first among the top ten "watery" majors, with too high a positioning and too much diverse learning, like a major to cultivate CEOs, but employment is very difficult.

What company would be crazy enough to call a university student like you to do management?

But Chen Pingjiang was a man who planned to start his own business!

Zhang Xing felt that Chen Pingjiang's words damaged his father's image in his mind, so he pouted and returned to his seat.

"Pure nonsense! How could my dad harm me? And pretending to know when you don't."

Chen Pingjiang couldn't be bothered to pay attention to him, let alone get angry with a little kid.

Zhou Guanghan was displeased hearing this, his eyes wide like brass bells.

"If you're so obedient, just apply for what your dad said. Why the hell are you still asking?"

The students might not necessarily be afraid of Chen Pingjiang, because he usually looked harmlessly smiling in class, but they were genuinely afraid of Zhou Guanghan.

The thing about Zhou Guanghan was, you could talk about him, but you couldn't talk about his grand-uncle.

Zhang Xing immediately dared not speak, shrinking his head.

As soon as he finished filling out his college applications, Chen Pingjiang was about to slip away when he heard the class monitor call him,

"Chen Pingjiang, the homeroom teacher wants to see you for a moment."

Walking to the door of the teachers' office, he heard Yan Guoping scolding his son.

"Me, danced, for, principal, peacock dance, grandpa, a, make a sentence."

A tender childish voice replied,

"Grandpa Principal danced a peacock dance for me."

"How can you be so brazen?"

"My grandpa danced a peacock dance for the principal."

"If your grandpa knew, he wouldn't box your ears!"

...

Walking into the office, a group of teachers were laughing heartily.

Chen Pingjiang smiled and greeted the teachers.

Although Yan Guoping sounded angry, there was a smile on his face.

Human cubs were quite fun to tease.

Chen Pingjiang walked up to Yan Guoping's son with a mischievous smile, pointed at the paper, and said,

"It should be written here as 'The principal danced a peacock dance for grandpa and me.'"

All the teachers in the office burst into goose-like laughter.
