Chapter 151 - [152] : Don't Like Your Attitude? Time to Shepherd You

From within the flames, the Beyonder who had disguised himself as a gang member and infiltrated the group landed steadily on the ground.

He raised his head to scan everyone present.

He found Charles in the crowd and stared directly at him, speaking slowly, "You've taken something that doesn't belong to you. Hand it over honestly."

Charles looked nervously at his opponent, then turned to glance at Silas, seemingly assessing the strength of both sides.

After a moment, he gritted his teeth and said to Silas, "Mr. Anderson, this person is extremely agile and has strange abilities.

He's like a magician who can start fires and suddenly vanish..."

"Bang!"

Seeing Charles's attitude, the disguised gang member suddenly raised his hand and formed a gun shape with his fingers, pointing at him.

An invisible bullet whistled sharply through the room, shooting straight toward Charles's head.

"Smack!"

Silas kicked Charles aside, causing the air bullet to hit the furniture behind him.

The wooden board was immediately gouged with a crater, wood chips flying everywhere with a tremendous noise. Just from this power alone, it was comparable to an ordinary rifle bullet!

This person was indeed strong and extremely decisive. The moment he saw he couldn't extract any intelligence, he immediately moved to silence witnesses, giving the other side no chance to obtain information.

But this guy was so arrogant. Was he completely not taking Silas seriously at all?

Seeing the bullet miss, the man crossed his arms and flicked his palms.

"Swish swish!"

Paper strips rapidly shot out from between each of his fingers, then were gripped between them.

He pulled his arms back like drawing a bow, gathering strength, then flung them forward!

"Whoosh!"

The originally soft paper strips were now as hard as steel, slicing through the air, targeting vital points on everyone present.

"Boom!"

Before Silas, a searing wall of flame rose up from the floor, blocking the "paper strip daggers."

After all, no matter how hard the paper strips were, they were still essentially paper.

When met with high-temperature flames, they immediately burned, turning to scattered ash.

The dazzling firelight illuminated the room brilliantly, the high temperature scorching everyone's faces.

Only now did Charles finally react, retreating with his subordinates. They couldn't interfere in a battle between Beyonders, so they'd try not to cause trouble for Silas.

The wall of flame quickly receded after its brilliant blaze, the scattering sparks reflecting off Silas's handsome, cold face, creating an unusual beauty.

"Friend, this matter has nothing to do with you. Don't interfere carelessly."

Seeing Silas continuously intervene, the disguised Beyonder no longer attempted to attack Charles. Instead, he spoke to Silas with wariness.

"Who are you?"

Silas asked.

The other party didn't answer, only looked at Silas, seemingly pondering something.

He sized up Silas, and Silas examined him in return.

This guy is somewhat troublesome.

Paper doll substitution, air pistol, and flame jumping, these methods were exactly the same as the soul Ma'am M had once shepherded.

Mysterious and unpredictable, hard to catch the real body, very easy for attacks to miss their mark.

Simply put, very hard to kill.

Silas felt inexplicably annoyed.

It's his fault for making me think of that damned woman again...

Don't like his attitude? Time to shepherd him!

From how he attacked without hesitation to kill, this guy definitely wasn't anything good. Killing and shepherding him wouldn't cause any psychological burden.

Silas made up his mind. Today he'd catch this guy and make him his first personally shepherded lamb!

Due to the earlier "flame jump," the gas lamp on the wall had been destroyed, making that area quite dark. Silas noticed that Cecilia had somehow already slipped into the shadows, silently approaching the opponent.

The dagger in her hand glinted faintly.

"If I don't interfere in this matter, what compensation can you give me?"

Silas spoke, drawing the other's attention. "You've got to offer some benefit to get people to listen to you, right?"

"We are subordinates of a distinguished gentleman..."

The other party hesitated for a moment, seemingly swayed by Silas's words, and began to explain.

"Pfft!"

A dagger tip emerged from his chest, piercing through his heart. Looking back, a black-haired, blue-eyed girl had quietly appeared behind him.

Unfortunately, this precise assassination still failed to work.

The opponent's body quickly transformed into scattered paper scraps again, his real body appearing on the other side of the room.

Right in front of Silas.

Silas had tried to ambush him, and he was also using the opportunity to ambush Silas!

"Bang!"

In an instant, he had closed in on Silas. Before Silas could react, he aimed his finger at Silas's chest at close range and fired!

"Splat!"

The powerful impact blasted into Silas's chest with power comparable to the newest steam rifles, directly leaving a massive penetrating wound in Silas's chest.

Through the wound, one could even see the wall on the other side.

"Mr. Anderson!"

Charles cried out in horror.

This was terrible! Anderson had seemed so formidable and could even manipulate flames, yet he'd been shot dead by this mysterious guy!

Fear welled up in his heart because, judging from the earlier actions, this guy disguised as one of his subordinates was already planning to kill him!

If I confess honestly now, will he spare my life?

That Beyonder, seeing the large hole left in Silas's chest, naturally assumed he'd successfully killed Silas and turned to deal with that lower-sequence black-haired girl.

However, before he could turn around, he heard the person who'd received the fatal injury speak.

"You really deserve to die. You've made me think of that woman again."

How is he not dead?

"Bang! Bang!"

He fired repeatedly, the surging impacts resounding again and again at Silas's heart, bringing him numerous terrible wounds. Yet he still stood steadily, not falling.

Impossible!

Fear began to grow in his heart. His fingers moved upward, aiming at Silas's head.

"Boom!"

Before he could fire, flames instantly covered his body, ultimately turning it into scattered ash from a paper doll.

The next second, his figure appeared at the entrance. He glanced at Silas, whose chest wounds were already healing, his face showing some astonishment. Then, without hesitation, he turned and ran.

Don't run! If you run, where am I supposed to find my lamb?

"Stop."

Silas spoke softly.

Profane, horrifying, indescribable sounds suddenly rang out. Everyone present felt their heads buzz, as if struck by an iron hammer on the brain.

"Ahhh!"

The Beyonder who was the target had it even worse. He cried out in pain, clutching his head as blood flowed from his nostrils and ears.

Profane Words, a direct attack on the spirit!

He staggered several steps, seemingly barely recovering a bit of consciousness. With a "bang," he transformed into flames and vanished.

He escaped?

Charles thought with both surprise and unease.

This person was so troublesome. If he really got away and came back for sneak attacks from time to time, what would they do!

At this moment, he saw Silas walk to the entrance and pick up several drops of blood the other had left on the ground. His sister thoughtfully handed him a dagger.

Silas was going to use blood to curse the escaped guy!

Under everyone's fearful gaze, Silas quickly used the dagger to cut his own arm, muttering twisted prayer words in a low, mad voice.

Soon, a simple blood array was constructed on his skin.

Having advanced to Sequence 5, Silas no longer needed to prepare such complex rituals and could quickly perform curses.

In other words, after reaching high sequences, a Secrets Suppliant could significantly simplify ritual procedures.

After the array was completed, he dripped that drop of fresh blood onto it. A glimmering red light lit up, carrying a heavy, terrifying atmosphere.

No one dared to speak, only watching as Silas whispered in a frenzied, malevolent tone.

Invisible twisted power accumulated, flesh writhing in the red glow, establishing a connection with the separated body part.

At this point, barely more than ten seconds had passed since the man had used "flame jump" to leave!

"Praise the Lord!"

Silas shouted, raising his right hand and driving the dagger straight through his own arm!

"AAAAAHHHHH!"

Not far outside the house, an extremely miserable scream immediately rang out. That utterly despairing sound seemed to come from a torn soul.
