Sigurd didn't bother about how the Amazons would form alliances with humans and gods to fight in the battle. His primary target was to keep Hippolyta and her sisters safe during the beginning; then, when the target appeared, his work would start.
"Lucifer, how would I know that the target will appear? At least give some hint as to who it might be."
Lucifer shook his head, then he spoke about the fact.
"Actually, I don't even know myself who it will be, but the information I got was that he will appear in this war. At the beginning, I didn't want to tell you because my bastard father didn't even explain it before giving me the mission."
Sigurd heard the words and was speechless.
"These old men are of the same category—always trying to play mystery."
Lucifer, who heard the words, couldn't help but agree.
"You have no idea how many eons I have survived the same torture by my so-called father, but the old guy's habit of mystery doesn't prevail."
Sigurd could only sigh about the situation Lucifer was going through. After all, if those old guys really got pissed off, he would be off the world before he knew it, but he still agreed with Lucifer's point.
At the same time, Hippolyta looked toward the warriors of Themyscira who were standing ahead of her, then looked toward the building where Sigurd and Lucifer were staying.
"Warriors of the Amazons, we will soon be going out of Themyscira to face a tyrant who wants to conquer our world, for which we shed blood to bring peace. The upcoming war isn't only about the survival of Themyscira, but of the whole world."
Hippolyta looked toward every warrior standing in front of her eyeline.
"We might survive, or we might not, but one thing is sure: if we don't win the war, then even our world won't be able to survive. So this war isn't about men or women. This war isn't the harassment we face during our lifetime or in the past, but this is about our present and future."
Hippolyta then took a deep breath.
"Let's fight for the future of the Amazons, and hope the gods might shine for us in the war."
Sigurd looked at Hippolyta; he sighed, thinking about the future.
Lucifer turned his head toward Sigurd.
"Why are you sighing? Look at the lover you have; even I felt a little jealous of you."
Sigurd heard the teasing words of Lucifer but shook his head.
"It's different. Even though she loves to stay with me, her attachment to her sisters and the Amazon women is very deep, and I don't think she will want to go to my world."
Lucifer then understood the dilemma Sigurd was going through. After all, even if he could travel back and forth from his world to here, it would be very difficult in the long term.
"Then what do you think of the problem?"
Sigurd still shook his head.
"I don't know. I will be able to travel according to the deal I got from the supreme being, but still, the time difference in both worlds works way differently. I don't want to think about it, but still, those thoughts pop out automatically."
Lucifer thought about his own possibility with Chloe.
"Then what can I do with the emotions I am going through?"
Sigurd looked at Lucifer, and he felt even more for how Lucifer might have to face even more difficulty than anyone could imagine.
"I think it will be better for you to explain your identity clearly. After all, she is human, and I don't know whether she can even digest your identity easily. Your portrayal throughout the different universes is way more complicated than I can imagine."
Lucifer heard the words and even felt a little distress.
"I don't understand Father or the other supreme beings. Why give beings like us emotions?"
Sigurd then thought: if he were emotionless, he thought of the trial he went through—if he hadn't had an attachment to family, he might have turned into a corpse.
"Lucifer, emotions might be a great boon we have gained from them. If we really were emotionless, then you might never have rebelled against heaven. You had your own emotional reason which made you think heaven wasn't functioning well, but deep down you knew you couldn't defeat your father, yet you still went for it. That's what emotion does."
Lucifer heard the words and couldn't help but think of his actions.
"Do you think rebelling against my own father was good or bad?"
Sigurd turned his head toward Lucifer; he didn't expect the question, but still thought as well, trying to recall the memories from his other counterpart which he had received.
"It might be bad for your personal instance, but for the universe or the present multiverse of this world, it might be a great thing. Think—it might be a way for the supreme being to keep a check on the angels as well, who run heaven. After all, anything which is undefeatable will be corrupted at some point in time, or the people under them will be corrupted. You might have seen thousands of powerful people become corrupted. So God might need someone to install fear in them, to keep them in line. And who would be better for the position than you, whose strength is absolute?"
Lucifer still shook his head.
"It might be the case, but I have been looking after Hell for how many years I don't even remember. Do you think it will change at some point?"
Sigurd shook his head.
"I don't know, but I hope you get a peaceful life ahead, my friend."
Sigurd and Lucifer both looked toward the vast universe from their own perspectives, but their journeys were their own and their struggles would be their own. Both wanted to change fate.
At the same time, while both were talking about their own paths, on Earth, in the human kingdom, different powerful human warriors and wizards were sitting around a large table while their generals stood beside them.
One human, wearing a golden crown with a purple jewel in the center, got up from his chair.
"Everyone might have received the decree from their respective gods about the upcoming war—the tyrant who wants to capture our planet. So I won't say that we are very good friends and that we always work together, but our personal grudges are between us. This war is about the survival of all of us."
Then he looked at all the people in the room.
"So our personal grudges should be kept aside; we will solve them if we win the upcoming war. Before that, we should be united. Whether it is about our army or ourselves, we shouldn't attack each other during this crisis. If anyone does that, all other human kings will attack together to slaughter the traitor. Their clan will also be branded as traitors to humankind."
"Do you agree? Let's vote for it."
"Yes, I agree."
All the other kings and generals agreed to the terms set, after all—this wasn't about a small piece of land, but the whole world. If they didn't stand united, they would be slaughtered.
The same thing was going on with the Atlanteans as well, but they had always been on good terms, so the process was smoother than with the humans.
At the same time, outside the solar system of Earth, a huge spaceship was marching. The spaceship itself was tyrannical in size.
Darkseid was standing in the control room of the spaceship, looking toward the solar system.
"This solar system has its own attraction. My destiny to control the world will start from here."
