Chapter 151: Dungeon Cleared, Gion's Harvest

"I have no interest in your Dark Chi Magic."

Gion looked down apathetically at the Demon Sorcerer beneath her feet, who had once acted as if the world belonged to him. She pressed the tip of Konpira downwards, the sharp blade grinding against Shendu's hard scales with an ear-piercing screech.

"As for being the 'King of the World'..."

She increased the pressure underfoot. Armament Haki coiled around her military boots, stomping Shendu's massive dragon head deep into the mud.

" The Justice of the Marines does not need handouts from a demon."

Without a shred of hesitation, she gripped the hilt with both hands. Her Armament Haki was pushed to its absolute limit, causing the pitch-black blade to glow with a dark red sheen.

Pfft!

The long sword pierced through Shendu's thick chest, stabbing directly through his heart and burying itself deep into the bedrock beneath.

"ROAR—!!"

Shendu let out an earth-shattering scream of misery.

But it wasn't over.

Gion released the hilt and leaped high into the air. Her right leg sliced through the sky in a sharp arc, hammering down onto the exposed hilt of the sword.

Thud!

The earth trembled violently.

The entirety of Konpira, guard and all, was driven completely into Shendu's body, nailing the demon firmly into the ruins atop Victoria Peak.

"Damn mortal! You dare... You dare blaspheme a god!"

Shendu struggled frantically. His thick tail lashed out unconsciously, sweeping through the surrounding debris and smashing deep pits into the ground.

However, having lost the amplification of the Ox Talisman, his physical strength—while still terrifying—was no longer enough to break free from Gion's Haki-infused blade.

"This one is... the Monkey!"

Pop.

A talisman carved with a monkey pattern was forcibly pried out.

Shendu's body, which had been constantly shifting forms in an attempt to escape, instantly solidified. The ability to shapeshift at will vanished.

"Give me back my power!!"

Shendu roared in despair, his two dragon claws digging furiously into the ground.

"And this one! The Tiger!"

Jackie Chan reached in again.

The Tiger Talisman, representing spiritual balance, left the body.

The red glow in Shendu's eyes dimmed significantly, and the sensation of endless power regenerating within him was completely cut off.

"No... No!!"

One by one, the Talismans were gouged out by Jackie Chan.

"Found it!"

Jackie Chan's eyes lit up as his fingers touched a warm, octagonal stone.

The Rat Talisman.

"Stop! Mortal! I curse you! I curse you to a horrible death!"

Pop!

With a final soft sound.

A talisman carved with a rat pattern was held high by Jackie Chan.

Time seemed to freeze in that instant.

Shendu's roaring came to an abrupt halt.

His eyes, filled with malice and tyranny, remained fixed on Gion and Jackie Chan, but the red glow within them was fading at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Replacing it was a dead, silent gray.

Crack... Crack...

The sound of dense petrification began to spread from the tip of his tail.

The once vibrant red flesh and hard scales lost their luster in an instant, turning into the texture of rough rock.

"No..."

A final, dry whisper squeezed out of Shendu's throat.

Then, the gray color rapidly crawled over his entire body.

In his place stood a twisted, ferocious stone statue of a coiled dragon.

Gion slowly retracted her foot from the dragon's head.

She gripped the handle of Konpira protruding from the statue's chest and pulled with force.

Clang!

Sparks flew.

The long sword slid out of its sheath of stone, bringing a trail of rock dust with it.

"Phew..."

Gion exhaled a long breath of turbid air. Her body swayed, nearly collapsing.

The high-intensity combat, combined with forcibly overdrawing her Haki at the end to seal Shendu's movements, had pushed her to her limit—even as a Vice Admiral and Admiral candidate.

"We won! Uncle Jackie, that was awesome!"

Jade cheered, launching herself like a small cannonball and hanging directly off Jackie Chan's neck.

"Ouch! Easy, easy! My bones are going to fall apart!" Jackie Chan yelped, wincing in pain.

Uncle walked over slowly, picking up the Rat Talisman from Jackie's hand with two fingers. He examined it carefully, then—Smack!—flicked Jackie Chan on the forehead.

"One more thing! We must put these things in the Section 13 vault! That is the safest place in the world!"

"One more thing! Uncle is hungry! Uncle wants mung bean sandwiches!"

"One more thing..."

Listening to this familiar and noisy chatter, Gion's tense nerves finally relaxed.

She looked down at the sword in her hand.

There were several chips on the blade—marks left from slashing at Dai Gui and Shendu.

"Is this... the power of an Otherworld?"

This demon called Shendu had possessed twelve strange abilities. If not for the specific "magic" counters available, relying solely on Haki and swordsmanship might have truly resulted in her death here.

Just then.

A pale blue light screen, visible only to her, slowly unfolded before her eyes.

"Time to go..."

Gion glanced at Jackie Chan and his group, who were celebrating with Captain Black.

The little girl named Jade seemed to sense something. She turned her head, her big eyes blinking as she looked at Gion.

"Big Sister Gion, are you leaving?" Jade ran over, looking up at her.

Gion revealed a rare smile.

She crouched down and patted Jade's head.

"Ah, the mission is complete. I should go back."

"Will you come back to teach me Kung Fu?" Jade asked reluctantly. "I want to learn that move where you walk on the sky!"

"If there is a chance."

Gion stood up and sheathed Konpira.

"Goodbye, everyone."

"Eh? Miss Gion, where are you going? We can give you a ride..." Jackie Chan started to speak, but his eyes suddenly went wide.

He watched as Gion's body began to turn transparent, dissolving into countless particles of light before fading away into the air.

Two warm lights floated out of thin air in front of Gion.

As the light dissipated, two octagonal gray runestones hovered quietly in the void.

One carved with a running rabbit.

One carved with a galloping horse.

Gion was stunned.

"This is..."

She reached out with a trembling hand and grasped the two runestones.

The moment her fingertips touched them, a massive flow of information surged into her mind.

Gion's pupils constricted violently.

Even with her composure as a Marine Vice Admiral, she couldn't help but suck in a cold breath.
