Umbridge's New Phobia: Darkness
After Roy's display of Conqueror's Haki, Umbridge transformed from an annoying toad into a petrified toad.
She became afraid of shadows.
Not darkness—shadows.
If a corridor dimmed slightly, she jumped. If a student's shadow stretched long, she squeaked. If a curtain fluttered, she screamed "YAKSHA IS HERE!" and sprinted away.
She even started carrying a Muggle flashlight, which kept flickering because Hogwarts hated her.
Students quickly realized her new weakness and began walking around with enchanted paper cut-out "Yaksha horns" on their heads. Some shadows were enchanted to flare dramatically whenever she turned a corner.
It didn't help when a certain poltergeist got involved.
Peeves and the "Yaksha Sightings"
Peeves, delighted beyond measure, created a new school-wide hobby:
"Yaksha Sightings: Reported by Peeves!"
He floated around the castle crying things like—
"UMBRIDGE! ROY IS BEHIND YOU!""THE YAKSHA WALKS! REPENT, DOLORES!""HE RISES FROM THE SHAAAAADOWS!"
The best part?
None of it was true.
Roy was usually in class, eating with friends, or studying. But Umbridge still jumped three feet in the air every time Peeves rattled a window.
The entire castle laughed behind her back. Even the staircases made a sport out of moving whenever she approached.
The DA Begins Training
Meanwhile, Harry finally got Hermione to show him the Room of Requirement, just like Roy suggested.
A golden door appeared the moment they walked past thinking "We need a place to train."
Inside was the perfect training arena — spell dummies, cushions, books, and even a scoreboard listing "Spells Mastered."
Students trickled in, whispering excitedly.
Harry took the lead, but Hermione whispered to Daphne, Astoria, Cassandra, Ginny, Cho, and Luna:
"Roy already predicted we'd need this. He even gave me the instructions."
The girls grinned proudly.
The DA officially began:Defence Association — secretly backing Harry, silently protected by Roy.
The Teasing of the Yaksha
Of course, Roy couldn't escape the consequence of being terrifying.
At dinner that evening, Hermione slid into the seat beside him with a mischievous smile.
"You know," she said sweetly, "you scared Dolores so much she tried to arrest a shadow earlier."
Daphne smirked. "A first-year dropped his quill and she screamed 'YAKSHA COME FOR ME.'"
Astoria giggled. "She fainted when she saw her own reflection in the window."
Cassandra tapped Roy's arm. "Do you always enjoy giving people trauma, or only annoying pink toads?"
Ginny leaned over the table with a wicked grin. "Tell us, mighty Yaksha, how many hearts have you shattered today?"
Cho pretended to faint dramatically. "Oh no, the Yaksha's aura—too powerful!"
Luna placed a radish on Roy's plate."For protection from shadows," she said sincerely. Then added, "Not yours. Yours is friendly."
That sent the girls into laughter.
And then—the Weasley Twins arrived.
Fred: "Yaksha-sama! We seek wisdom!"George: "What is your secret to maximum intimidation?"Fred: "Do you practice in the mirror?"George: "Or is it natural talent?"
Cedric sat on Roy's other side, struggling not to laugh."Mate… I think you broke Umbridge's soul. She closed her curtains because her own shadow scared her."
Roy buried his face in his hands.
He was never going to live this down.
