Chapter 158 - Chapter 156

The cave was silent, save for the soft drip of water echoing from unseen crevices. Roy, Sirius, and Kreacher stepped carefully onto the small patch of land surrounded by the dark, still water. Kreacher's voice trembled slightly as he whispered, "He… he died somewhere around here, Master Roy."

Sirius scanned the rocky terrain, his eyes narrowing. "There!" Kreacher exclaimed, pointing to a faint outline in the shadows. It was Regulus Black's body, lying as though he had simply fallen asleep.

But before they could reach him, the surface of the lake rippled violently. From the dark water, skeletons rose, animated by the residual dark magic of Voldemort. Their hollow eyes glowed with malevolence, and their bony hands reached toward the trio.

Roy's sharp voice cut through the tension. "Sirius, Kreacher—stay close. Do not engage unless I command."

In an instant, he drew Ryujin Jakka from his system storage. His aura flared, the air around him shimmering with heat. With a precise motion, he unleashed the Bankai, and the flames roared to life, consuming the skeletal attackers in searing blue and orange fire. Ashes drifted into the air, leaving Regulus Black's body untouched, a silent testament to Roy's control over destruction.

Once the skeletons were gone, they carefully examined the cave's small patch of land. In its center was a sink embedded into the stone, a relic of the dark magic that once controlled it.

Kreacher explained, "The Dark Lord… he placed his necklace here before Regulus took it."

Roy's eyes narrowed as he inspected the mechanism. It was intricate, a puzzle of locks and curses—but not for him. After a few moments, he cracked it open with deft precision, retrieving the Slytherin locket.

From his purse, Roy produced a magical suitcase he had purchased earlier. Stepping inside, he disappeared briefly. Ten minutes later, he emerged holding a large, compressed ball. Carefully, he replaced the locket with the ball inside the sink.

Sirius's brow furrowed. "What… what is that?"

Roy smirked slightly. "This ball contains the stinkiest magical materials I could find. If the Dark Lord opens this safe, the stench will coat his body and face for a full week. No potion, no spell, no charm—nothing can remove it."

Sirius couldn't help but laugh, imagining Voldemort's reaction. "Brilliant… absolutely brilliant," he said, clapping Roy on the shoulder.

With their task complete, they carefully retrieved Regulus Black's body and returned to 13 Grimmauld Place.

Inside, Dumbledore awaited them. His gaze was heavy with sorrow. "Roy," he said softly, "if anyone deserves to destroy this darkness, it is you. I… I would sacrifice my life for the wizarding world, but I trust your judgment above all."

Roy was momentarily speechless. His eyes met Sirius's as he handed him the locket. "Read it," he instructed.

Sirius carefully opened the locket and read the letter within. As he finished, Lupin, Sirius, Narcissa, Harry, Kreacher, and even Dumbledore were overcome with emotion, tears streaming as they mourned the heroic sacrifice of Regulus Black.

Roy turned to Sirius. "Give this to Kreacher. He is the one who took care of Regulus all this time."

Sirius nodded solemnly and handed the locket to Kreacher. The house-elf's eyes shone with gratitude. "Thank you… Master Roy," Kreacher whispered, bowing deeply.

In that moment, the cave, the lake, and the horrors of dark magic felt distant. Roy's brilliance, his tactical mind, and his respect for heroism had once again changed the course of history.
