Chapter 15: The White-Haired Man Wrapped in Electricity!
Ignoring Polaris, Su Mu put on his sunglasses and walked out onto the main street.
As soon as he reached the street, he noticed people pointing at him and heard the discussions of the passersby.
"White hair, and sunglasses... he couldn't be the White Demon, could he?"
The passerby's companion shook his head, saying: "Probably just an imitator. How could the White Demon just be a random person on the street?"
Su Mu was a little confused. What was the "White Demon"?
Then, he saw a large screen on the side of the street. After watching for a moment, he immediately understood...
He was famous?
On the large screen, a man in his thirties was talking animatedly.
"I was hiding in a nearby shop at the time, only a dozen meters away from the White Demon, and I personally witnessed him battling another mutant.
I am certain, he is absolutely stronger than Magneto. He is the most powerful mutant in the world right now!"
???
Several black lines immediately appeared on Su Mu's forehead. What was with this damned reporter?
Although he would definitely become the strongest mutant in the future, he was only in the initial stages right now. He was currently not the most powerful mutant.
Never mind that his Limitless Cursed Technique couldn't block psychic attacks at the moment; the Dark Phoenix alone was far stronger than him.
Describing him as the strongest mutant at this time... how was he supposed to develop quietly?
He looked at the name tag below the man. On it were written the words: Eddie Brock.
Su Mu felt the name was somewhat familiar. After thinking hard, he finally remembered. Wasn't this Venom?
"Good, good, good. You cute little thing. When we meet in the future, I'll be sure to 'take good care' of you!"
Su Mu then ignored Eddie Brock and looked toward the tallest building in the Manhattan district.
That was one of the most famous buildings in the Marvel world: Stark Tower!
To get an Arc Reactor, he had to contact Tony Stark. Therefore, going directly to Stark Tower was the fastest option.
Tony Stark had just returned and was about to have his conflict with Obadiah Stane. Saving his life during that conflict should be worth one Arc Reactor, right?
Of course, if Tony Stark was still unwilling to hand over an Arc Reactor even after that, well... he had one ready-made on his body!
Su Mu thought to himself.
Pulling up the hood of his white sweatshirt, Su Mu walked slowly toward Stark Tower.
In his surroundings, the light dimmed slightly as various energies, unobservable to ordinary people, were continuously poured into his body under the precise control of his Lv.2 Six Eyes and the effect of his Lv.3 Energy Absorption.
Although the absorption was slower than direct contact, its advantage was that it was constant.
This not only greatly enhanced his combat endurance but also increased the efficiency of his energy gathering!
The system prompts continued:
[Energy Point +1]
[Energy Point +1]
[Six Eyes EXP +1]
[Six Eyes EXP +1]
[Energy Absorption EXP +1]
[Energy Absorption EXP +1]
...
Stark Tower was located in Manhattan's Upper East Side. It was the tallest building in the vicinity, and its "duckbill-like" top was very eye-catching, fitting Tony Stark's flamboyant personality.
Arriving at the base of Stark Tower, the sky was already dark. Su Mu walked toward the main entrance but was stopped by several security guards.
The guards blocked his path and asked, "Good evening, sir. Please show your ID."
Su Mu, of course, had no ID. Even though he knew the guards wouldn't let him through, he said honestly, "I have important business to discuss with Tony Stark. Please inform him."
As expected, upon hearing Su Mu's words, the guards were stunned and then looked at each other.
They wanted to laugh, but their top-tier professional training kept them from laughing out loud. The guards suppressed their amusement and said, "Sir, it's not April Fool's Day. That isn't funny."
Knowing this would happen, Su Mu grew a little annoyed. He rubbed his soft white hair and continued, "Gentlemen, this is not a joke."
Seeing that Su Mu wasn't leaving and instead continued to pester them, the guards' expressions turned serious. They clearly regarded him as a troublemaker.
Just as Su Mu was preparing to display some special abilities to 'persuade' the guards, several cars pulled up. A slender, elegant figure stepped out first, followed by several cold-looking men in black suits.
They noticed the standoff at the building's entrance but paid it no mind, walking directly into the building with hurried steps.
They clearly had more important things to do.
Su Mu recognized the woman in the lead immediately. Long blonde hair, black dress—who else could it be but Pepper Potts?
"Looks like it's almost time for this hero to save a hero!"
Su Mu rubbed his chin with two fingers, pondering.
He then looked at the guards slowly closing in on him and slowly took off the round-framed sunglasses resting on his high-bridged nose...
The guards stopped immediately. They stared at the exquisite eyes before them, which glowed with an azure light. The most sensational news story from recently slowly surfaced in their minds.
The White Demon!
In the last moment before their consciousness faded, they saw the corner of the man's mouth curl up slightly as he whispered, "My apologies, gentlemen. Please 'rest' for a little while."
...
Pepper Potts led the group of agents quickly into the building.
After Agent Coulson used a miniature explosive to destroy the lock, the group continued toward Section 16.
Inside Section 16, the lighting was very dim. It was filled with mechanical equipment, and numerous iron chains hung from the ceiling. A giant, crude suit of metal armor sat in one corner.
Looking at the armor, Coulson said to Pepper, "Looks like you were right. He's building a suit."
The group continued deeper. Pepper was drawn to the surrounding screens filled with complex data. She stopped in front of dozens of chains, and just as she was about to move forward...
Suddenly!
Two giant, glowing pale eyes lit up in the darkness!
"Ah!!!"
The ear-piercing scream shattered the night's tranquility.
Pepper fled, the giant, multi-meter-tall iron armor frantically chasing her.
Seeing this, a few agents instinctively raised their guns and fired at the Iron Monger, but they were immediately smashed flat by a terrifying iron fist.
In the blink of an eye, of the group that had come to arrest Obadiah Stane, only Coulson and Pepper remained alive!
Pepper squeezed through a narrow doorway. The giant Iron Monger got stuck in the solid concrete wall, allowing her to escape.
Just as she passed the large, ring-shaped Arc Reactor and was about to flee Stark Tower, her peripheral vision suddenly caught sight of something!
Countless terrifying white currents of electricity streamed from the Arc Reactor, emitting the piercing sound of ten thousand birds, enveloping a handsome, white-haired man.
Enveloped by such terrifying currents, the white-haired man wasn't harmed in the slightest. Instead, he spread his arms, his exquisite azure eyes filled with pleasure.
"More... just a little more!"
Seeing the unbelievable scene before her, Pepper subconsciously stopped, momentarily forgetting even to flee.
