Chapter 3 - Chapter 3. Greck Cavalry

Link's eyes widened, his mouth slightly agape, his face filled with an expression of disbelief.

The surge of joy in his heart instantly overflowed like a raging tide.

Agnes!?

Wouldn't this make him invincible!?

"With Agnes and those 300 Greck Cavalry, why bother thinking about strategies to deal with Orlando now!"

Link snorted coldly. Originally, he had been thinking of first finding evidence of Orlando's crimes so that killing him would be justifiable to the public.

But now, all of that was no longer necessary!

Simply because Agnes was here!

Power was his reason to do as he pleased!

...The sky suddenly began to drizzle.

The rain, continuous and endless, was like a finely woven silk veil, slowly descending from the layers of overcast sky.

Although the rain seemed gentle, in this cold weather, it was like invisible blades mercilessly cutting through the muddy ground.

Clatter, clatter, clatter!

Urgent hoofbeats came from deep within the rain curtain.

Elite cavalrymen, clad in exquisite armor and cloaks, like beasts escaped from a cage, galloped freely through the curtain of rain, scattering droplets with their hooves, under the astonished gazes of passersby.

"Halt!"

Link, riding a chain-armored warhorse, extended his right hand, signaling.

At the end of the road, that luxurious mansion was Orlando's residence.

Upon hearing the command, the charging formation in the rain abruptly stopped.

Their skilled horsemanship ensured no accidents occurred throughout the process. Occasionally, a warhorse would whinny, enduring the cold falling raindrops.

"Lord Link, there's something ahead!"

A cold gaze tore through the rain like a sharp blade, and the deep voice of a Greck Cavalry beside him sounded in his ear.

Upon hearing this, Link gently lifted his cloak and looked up at the continuous rain.

"Lances, prepare!" Link slightly raised his hand, his tone firm.

Clang!

With swift and precise movements, the sharp lances, like bolts of lightning, pierced through the rain, revealing a cold, clear gleam.

Beneath their visors, their eyes were indifferent and merciless, and the pervasive aura of killing intent seemed to momentarily freeze the fine rain.

"Lord Mayor, I don't believe I've offended you anywhere, have I? What is this?"

The person walking towards them was Orlando, his face still adorned with a fawning smile.

Besides him, there were fifty or sixty cavalrymen he had raised, following closely behind him.

"Orlando, there's no need for grand words. I sentence you to death for corruption, bribery, and treason! Execute immediately!"

"Hmph! What arrogance!"

Upon hearing Link's words, the fawning smile on his face instantly vanished, replaced by a face full of malice and jealousy.

At this point, Orlando no longer bothered to pretend, revealing all the malevolence in his heart.

He snorted coldly and said, "I truly underestimated you; I didn't expect you to hide such an elite cavalry force. However, don't think I'll surrender without a fight! Today, even if Captain Lina were here, she wouldn't be able to stop me! Franck! Let this useless lord witness the power of your Golden Knight!"

With that, Orlando rode his horse back a step.

The armored knight who had been beside him rode his horse to the front of the group. Wisps of light blue battle aura coiled around his body, exuding a mysterious and powerful aura.

He raised his longsword and shouted, "Brothers! Follow me! Kill!"

Dense hoofbeats drowned out the sound of the rain, like muffled thunder, echoing through the deserted street.

The formation of fifty or sixty private Soldiers, like a black torrent, surged from the end of the road. Their longswords gleamed with cold light, like the scythes of the Grim Reaper, brandishing a blade of slaughter at Link.

Link, seated on his white steed, calmly snapped his fingers. The sound was crisp and clear, like a battle horn.

"Agnes, deal with them!"

Clang!

No sooner had he spoken than a red figure wielding a giant axe suddenly charged out from nearby!

Her posture was agile, her speed incredibly fast, like a black lightning bolt streaking across the sky. Her long red hair danced in the cold wind, like a burning flame in the air, scorching and dazzling.

Click! Click!

Ahead, Agnes, clad in a black bodysuit, perfectly outlined her graceful figure. Her flame-like red hair danced in the wind, making her appear like a fierce lioness, full of wildness and charm.

She stood alone in front of the surging private army, holding a pitch-black giant axe, her beautiful, aloof face gazing down at everything, directly at Franck at the very front!

No need to suppress, no need to control; the battlefield was her home!

She seemed born for battle. On the battlefield, she was an invincible War God.

"Die!"

An unparalleled domineering aura surged skyward, as if to tear apart the gloomy sky!

In an instant, Agnes vanished from her spot, leaving only a shallow, cracked crater—a mark left by her immense power.

The next moment, she had appeared directly above Franck, her pitch-black giant axe cleaving towards his face!
