Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 Welcome to Teyvat

"Excuse me, what's your name?"

"Emmm, Shao Yun, my usual name."

"So, you're also from outside this world?"

"If I'm not dreaming, then yes. Because I've never seen a talking, emmm, how should I describe it, white balloon before?"

Looking at Paimon floating in the air, if it weren't for the lingering pain from pinching his cheek, Shao Yun would have thought he was dreaming.

Shao Yun, an ordinary good young man, for some unknown reason, suddenly transmigrated to the Teyvat Continent. He didn't know how long he had been submerged in the sea, but when he opened his eyes, he saw a flying white object swaying before him.

It took him a few seconds to realize that the flying white object in front of him wasn't Paimon, the "Emergency Food" or "Flying Lavender Melon" from Genshin Impact?

Shao Yun never expected that he would also join the transmigration army one day. He found it quite amusing that such a thing had happened to him.

He was currently leaning against a large rock on the beach. Perhaps from being in the sea for several days, he had no strength left and could only engage in desultory conversation with Paimon.

"Paimon isn't a balloon! I'm Teyvat's best guide, the Traveler's companion!"

Pointing at Lumine, who was roasting fish over a bonfire, Paimon stood with her hands on her hips, her cheeks puffed out.

"Sorry, I, I really shouldn't have described you like that, Pai… Paimon?" Shao Yun struggled to get the words out. He truly couldn't believe he had actually come to the Teyvat Continent, and was so disheveled, leaning against a rock.

Shouldn't transmigration be a grand event? For example, a loud bang in the sky, and then he makes a dazzling entrance, blinding everyone? Why did he feel like he was about to die?

Seeing Shao Yun's weak state, Paimon quickly flew over, concerned for him.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean any harm. Get some good rest. The Traveler is making you food. Are you thirsty? Do you want me to get you some water?"

"Thank you, a little would be nice."

As he drank the water, he pondered how he had transmigrated to the Teyvat Continent, but unfortunately, he drew a blank.

Just like not knowing when he fell asleep, Shao Yun had no idea how he arrived in the Teyvat Continent, and he had no recollection of what he was doing before transmigrating.

Just then, Lumine walked over from the bonfire, holding a roasted fish.

"Wow, it's roasted fish! It smells so good!"

Paimon was practically drooling, rubbing her little hands together, looking at Lumine with great anticipation.

"Paimon, wait a moment, the next roasted fish is for you." Lumine looked at the weak Shao Yun leaning against the rock.

After Lumine's reminder, Paimon shook her head and realized that Shao Yun needed food more than she did right now.

Turning to look at Shao Yun, she awkwardly rubbed her head: "Sorry, when I see good food, I accidentally forget about you."

"Haha, it's fine." Shao Yun smiled and nodded. When he used to play the game and went through the story, he felt that although Paimon was noisy, she was genuinely cute. Now, seeing her gluttonous behavior up close, she was indeed very adorable.

"Here, take it and eat. You've been in the water for so long, you look like you haven't eaten in ages. Replenish some stamina."

Lumine handed over the roasted fish.

Lumine's voice was truly beautiful, especially paired with her golden hair and pristine white clothes, she really looked like a princess from another world.

"Thank you." Hearing Lumine say that, Shao Yun's own stomach did feel quite hungry. He reached out and took the roasted fish.

The moment he took the roasted fish, a status window appeared above it.

"Plain Roasted Fish, Effect: Slightly restores Core Health, Core Stamina, Core Death God's Eye."

What the hell? Shao Yun stared at the description of the roasted fish, stunned. No, did he come to the Teyvat Continent or Red Dead Redemption? What were these three descriptions?

His head hurt so much, as if his brain was growing, as if he was about to remember something.

Seeing Shao Yun holding the roasted fish motionless, Lumine and Paimon exchanged glances, then Paimon patted her chest and said, "Don't worry, the Traveler's cooking is really good."

"Ah, what…" Shao Yun gripped the skewer of the roasted fish tightly, then suddenly let out a pained groan, closing his eyes and leaning against the rock, losing consciousness.

"What's wrong with you? Are you okay?" Seeing this, Paimon quickly checked on Shao Yun's condition.

Welcome to the Teyvat Continent

Please enjoy your journey in the different world.

A few minutes later, Shao Yun regained consciousness. He seemed to have bound some system earlier, a Red Dead Redemption template, and was told to enjoy his journey.

He also got an eastern legend backpack and Maika's Revolver. How would he explain that? But considering Fontaine has muskets, which are probably similar, it should be easy to explain.

He touched himself, but found nothing at all?

Seeing him wake up, Lumine and Paimon finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"Cough, cough, my head…" Shao Yun groggily rubbed his head.

"You scared me to Death! You suddenly fainted without any warning." Paimon said, her expression gradually relaxing, letting out a long sigh of relief, as if a huge weight had finally been lifted from her heart.

"I fainted?" Shao Yun felt muddled, vaguely remembering something about acquiring items appearing before his eyes.

"Yes, you fainted without any warning." Paimon nodded, looking very certain. "You must have been hungry. Quickly eat the delicious food in your hand."

"When I'm hungry, my vision gets blurry, I feel weak all over, like I'm about to faint." Paimon patted her chest and even used herself as an example.

Looking at the roasted fish in his hand, Shao Yun swallowed it in a few quick bites.

The texture was decent. As for the taste, he could barely make out the freshness of the fish.

"Fish bones…" Lumine stared at Shao Yun, dumbfounded. Just as she was about to remind him about the fish bones, she saw him eat the entire roasted fish.

"What bones? Wasn't that just cartilage?" Shao Yun hadn't even realized what had just grated against his teeth.

"Shao Yun, you have really good teeth…" Lumine looked at Shao Yun helplessly, a hint of shock in her eyes. However, on second thought, after being hungry for so many days, it was a normal reaction to eat it without spitting out the bones in excitement. But, wasn't that unsafe?

Shao Yun had been aching all over, his vision blurry, even a little double vision.

One roasted fish later, he was completely energized.

He braced himself, about to stand up.

"Don't push yourself." Lumine supported Shao Yun's arm, afraid he would fall.

"It's fine, much better." He pushed away Lumine's small hand and stood up on his own strength, though his movements were a bit slow.

The moment he stood up, Lumine and Paimon's gazes involuntarily lifted.

From their perspective, it was as if a small mountain had stood up.

"Emmm, Shao Yun, you're so tall." Lumine subconsciously blurted out her thoughts.

He hadn't seemed that tall when he was sitting on the ground leaning against the rock, but standing up, he was indeed quite imposing.

"It's alright, pretty normal, I guess." Shao Yun felt it was fine. After all, Lumine uses a child model in the game, so she's relatively short. When he came to Teyvat, he at least used a male adult model, right?

But comparing closely, Lumine's head only reached Shao Yun's chest. If he wanted to, he could directly rest his elbow on top of her head.

As for Paimon, emmm, a flying mascot couldn't be compared.

"Alright, let's not worry about height for now. Let's properly introduce ourselves." Paimon waved her hand, changing the subject from height, as it seemed to be a sore spot for her, and quickly shifted the conversation.
