Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Little Fox and the Little Cake

"An'an, you have so many pretty clothes. Can I try some on?"

"Huh? …Okay, okay."

"Hehe, I knew you were the best. Help me zip it up."

"Who, me?"

Yao An looked at Jiang Jingya's back, slightly flustered.

"Hurry, hurry!"

"Oh.. ohh..."

"You're the one who asked me to help you take it off later. Don't call me a pervert afterwards."

Right. What was she even worrying about? She was a girl now.

Yao An carefully pulled the zipper down, revealing a snow-white back and the thin nude-colored straps resting against her delicate shoulder blades.

She couldn't help reaching out, her skin was soft and smooth, like warm jade.

Jiang Jingya twisted her slender waist, humming smugly.

"Well? Smooth, right? Do you want skin like this too? Should I recommend my body lotion to you?"

"Alright, alright!"

"This dress is so stylish… but I probably can't pull it off."

"Wow, these pants are so long… hmph, An'an, your legs are unfairly long. Give the rest of us a chance!"

Jiang Jingya had half undressed, exposing her fragrant shoulders and pale back.

While she was rummaging for clothes, the motion was a bit risky; from behind, one could faintly see the cute lace of her underwear at her hip.

"How about this one? Do I look like an older sister type in this?"

She held a sleeveless black lace dress to her chest and turned around.

Seeing Yao An's slightly flushed cheeks, she blinked.

"An'an, what's wrong?"

"N-nothing. It's just a little hot in here."

Yao An shook her head hard, trying to calm down.

Before transmigrating, he had been socially awkward, but he'd dated plenty of girls.

Even if the atmosphere was ambiguous, he shouldn't be losing composure like this.

But now, every emotion felt amplified, sharpened.

Maybe it really was hormones.

"…Are you sure you're okay?"

To avoid suspicion, Yao An changed the subject at once.

"We agreed to be sweet girls together, but you want to secretly evolve into a mature older sister behind my back? Traitor!"

Jiang Jingya lifted Yao An's chin and spoke in a teasing, charming tone:

"Little fox, being two-faced is a privilege reserved for beautiful women."

Oh? So her little follower dared to challenge her?

Yao An immediately grabbed her wrist, pulled her close, and breathed softly against her crystal-clear earlobe.

"You're getting bold, Little Cake."

The body in her arms trembled, cheeks blooming red.

Her earlobes were clearly a weak spot.

Not shyness, just sensitive.

"Hah! Look at you flirting so naturally. How many men have you bewitched?"

Jiang Jingya suddenly tackled her onto the bed.

The two began attacking each other's weak points, messy hair and laughter spilling everywhere.

"Hey.. why does this feel… different?"

Jiang Jingya paused, frowning thoughtfully.

Yao An, hair messy and chest rising, lowered her head to look.

Had her chest gotten just a bit… bigger?

"Is papaya milk actually effective…?"

Jiang Jingya narrowed her eyes, then unleashed the legendary Dragon Claw Technique.

"It did get bigger! We agreed to be airport-flat together, and you secretly upgraded?! You little traitor, take this!"

"Don't scratch me—! I'm ticklish—hahaha—stop—!"

Though Yao An had long legs, her body was hopelessly unathletic.

Despite having the determination of a warrior inside, her physical stats were still tragic.

She was completely overpowered and pinned helplessly.

"I admit defeat! I surrender!"

"Oh, so you surrender and dare to shout? Trying to scare me?"

Laughter filled the room again.

In the end, Liu Ying entered to stop the chaos.

"You're both grown young ladies. Why are you still acting like children? Enough, or your makeup will get ruined. Come eat some fruit."

Blushing, Yao An fixed her messy hair and slipped shoulder strap.

On the table was a plate of neatly arranged fruit pieces.

Something in her heart tightened.

Her mother had never been this gentle to her before.

Even washing fruit came with scolding.

"There are bayberries! Auntie Liu, you're amazing!"

Jiang Jingya lit up, popped one in her mouth, cheeks puffing as she smiled with delight.

The two families had been neighbors once, and the girls grew up together.

Both households treated the other's daughter like half their own.

"This was sent by your Uncle Yao from Zhejiang. Eat more."

Liu Ying felt satisfied seeing the two girls so happy.

If only An'an were a boy… then she could marry Jingya and the families would be perfectly joined.

But that was just a thought.

A daughter was more precious than anything.

An'an was the treasure of the Yao family.

"An'an, open your mouth."

Jiang Jingya fed her a bayberry.

Yao An accepted it and when the juice burst across her tongue, her eyes brightened.

Her tastes had changed too.

After finishing preparations, the two finally left at 12:30.

Downstairs, Jiang Jingya noticed something strange about Yao An's walk.

"An'an? What's wrong?"

Yao An held her skirt tightly, legs together, taking tiny steps, face red from embarrassment.

The skirt was too short, any big movement risked disaster.

Plus, they were both strikingly attractive; every passerby, regardless of gender, looked.

And when she noticed glances lingering on her legs and chest, she felt like crawling into the ground.

"I told you the skirt was too short, but you insisted. Now look."

Jiang Jingya linked arms with her smoothly.

"People look because you're beautiful. Showing your strengths isn't shameful. Live for yourself, not for others' gazes."

Yao An fell quiet.

This-this warmth, confidence, brightness, this was why she liked Jiang Jingya.

She took a slow breath.

"Xiaoya… thank you."

Jiang Jingya huffed proudly.

"As my favorite concubine, gratitude must be expressed physically~"

Yao An tucked her hair behind her ear, revealing a devastating smile.

"You're the one who asked me to kiss you."

Smack.

She kissed her lightly at the corner of her lips.

Jiang Jingya froze on the spot, her face turning red like a ripe apple.
