Jessica's POV
Something was different about Caleb tonight. Terribly, dangerously different. His usually controlled demeanor had cracked, revealing something wild beneath the surface. Those dark eyes held a crimson tinge that made my breath catch, and an oppressive energy rolled off him in waves, thick enough to taste.
The twisted part of me found it intoxicating. What did that say about who I really was?
My gaze traveled down his body before meeting his stare again.
"Get on your knees and suck my dick."
The command reverberated through my skull like a broken record. He had given permission, practically demanded it, so why did my feet feel rooted to the floor? Perhaps it was the contradiction in his expression - the words said one thing, but his eyes screamed something else entirely. Was she still haunting his thoughts even now?
I studied his relaxed state, then lifted my eyes to his face. Something inside me rebelled. I turned away, shaking my head. "No."
