Today marks another trial, though calling it that feels generous. The verdict has already been decided. What we're really here for is the sentencing.
The Elders and Shifters gathered in this grand hall aren't here to determine guilt or innocence. Their only job is deciding how severe the punishment should be for crimes already proven beyond doubt.
"This process will take several hours. Afterward, you'll be permitted to contact your Packs and inform them your return has been delayed by at least one more day. Tomorrow brings another matter requiring your assistance with sentencing procedures," Uncle Patton announces to the assembly.
