The weight of every gaze in the living room pressed against Garcia as she settled onto the couch. Her Squad members knew her well enough to recognize that she had more revelations coming. The tension in the air was thick enough to cut with a knife.
"Doc, what drug carries the scent of cotton candy or sugarcoated marshmallows?" Garcia asked, her voice steady despite the storm brewing inside her.
The others who had been standing quickly found seats, following her lead. Only her Squad remained positioned around the room like silent sentinels.
Doc cleared his throat before responding. "That would be Davies. More specifically, the component called Ibrazleine." His clinical tone couldn't mask the gravity of his words. "Ibrazleine also triggers short term memory loss. Depending on the dosage, it can erase hours or even days."
