Chapter 1: A Strange Start to the Morning
Gopal was a simple boy from a small town. His nature was humorous, but fate joked with him even more. Every day something unbelievable happened that made the entire neighborhood burst into laughter. But today's morning was strange right from the beginning.
Gopal had forgotten to set his alarm, but the chaos in his neighbor Sharma ji's house woke him up. Sharma ji was shouting, "Hey son, what button did you press! Why is smoke coming out of the TV!"
Rubbing his eyes, Gopal thought, "Man, if luck doesn't stay with me, it surely goes to Sharma ji's house." He got up and peeked outside. The scene was hilarious—Sharma ji's son was inserting a coin into the smart TV thinking it was actually smart.
Laughing, Gopal said, "Sharma ji, this is a TV, not a magical piggy bank." The whole neighborhood roared with laughter.
For Gopal, this was like the first sip of coffee—someone else's blunder, and his laughter.
After bathing, he thought that today he would wear clean clothes and go to the fair held behind the school. But as soon as he opened his wardrobe, he saw bite marks from rats on his jeans.
"Wow, even the rats have started branding my pants," Gopal muttered. He reluctantly wore an old pair of pants and stepped out of the house.
