"Please duke, please have mercy." The Marquis begged. Guards dragged him away.
"Phew..." Shahr let out a long sigh. His stiff shoulders dropped. He turned to me. Frozen to the floor, I stared at him, "How are you?"
Though anger could be clearly heard in his voice, he still tried his best to suppress his emotions and put on a facade.
Those glued feet, finally came off. I rushed to Shahr and melted in his embrace. He wrapped his hands around me tightly without leaving any space between us.
"Ahem... I will come later." Malvin's voice reached my ears. Only then did I remember that Malvin was also in the room with us. It made my cheeks flush red from embarrassment. I moved to break the hug, but was pulled back again, and this time even tighter.
"Leave." Clearly upset by Malvin's presence Shahr ordered. His gloomy face and cold voice, made Malvin shiver in fear. Without any delays, he left the room.
