A young elven noble with silver hair and emerald-green eyes walked through the magical forest. The grass glowed in shades that blended blue with vibrant green, and the trees stood tall with deep-brown trunks. If someone ran a hand across their bark, faint purple streaks of light would appear.
She moved gracefully, her long green noble dress swaying with each step. She looked beautiful.
After wandering for so long, she finally found a fallen log. Tired, she sat down.
"Ah, my mouth is so dry! I'm so thirsty… I'd give anything for a glass of water."She sighed.
A gentle breeze brushed against her face, birds sang cheerfully, and the leaves danced in the wind.
"It's so beautiful… and peaceful."She smiled softly as the breeze lifted her silver hair.
"Being alone with nature like this… what could possibly be better?"
Nothing.Nothing was better for her.
After a long moment enjoying that peace granted by nature, the elf rose from the log.
With a disappointed frown, she thought,"Ugh… my moment of happiness is over. That's sooo sad!"She pouted, turned around, and took a single step.
At that exact moment, a sound—like thunder arriving—echoed through the forest. But instead of heat, it carried cold. A chilling, sorrowful cold.
She spun around just in time to see a blur tearing through the air, followed by a violent gust of wind. It crashed into the ground with an explosive impact, dragging earth, roots and leaves with it.
The dust rose high, and the sound of the soil scraping and breaking echoed loudly.
Her emerald eyes followed the trail left behind by the fallen object… or creature.
"What could that be?!"Her eyes sparkled with excitement."Is it a punished angel who fell to earth for a break?! Or a lost prince?!"
She almost screamed in excitement but forced herself to stay quiet. Then she ran toward the mysterious being.
Her long dress made running a struggle, but she pushed through until the figure finally stopped.
As she approached, her excited expression collapsed into horror.
It looked like a scene from a horror movie.
A small crater had formed, exposing magical roots and glowing plants. Blood mixed with shards of ice.And the body—A human body, pale as a corpse.
Horrified, the beautiful elf rushed forward. When she got closer, she saw his cracked lips move. His chest rose and fell weakly.
He was alive.
"I'm sorry… I won't be able to go home… Jay…"The man whispered.
Her eyebrows shot up.
"Jay?! Is that a friend? A family member?!"
Suddenly, the man's body detached from the crater wall and collapsed into her arms, staining her lovely dress with blood.
"Why is he so heavy?! Seriously! Couldn't you weigh less?!"
After hours carrying him piggyback through the forest, she was exhausted.
"Wait—why didn't I think of this before?! I can just use wind magic to carry him!"
She finally cast a simple wind spell that made objects—or people—float.
Guiding the floating man, she took a path that circled her village until she reached the back of her family's mansion.
She opened the gate and hurried into a secret room.
Hours passed.The human still slept.
She sighed.
"My dress is covered in blood… I'm so dead if my father sees this!"
She stood by the window, watching the flowers sway calmly in the breeze. It eased her nerves a little.
Then she heard movement.
Turning around, she saw him—the man she had saved.
He looked confused, eyebrows raised. With a gentle, innocent smile, he asked:
"Who am I?"
"H–huh?!"Her jaw dropped.
"He lost his memory?!"She held her chin while thinking."Well… after a fall and explosion like that, it's understandable…"
"Y-you…"The human—Poul—was blushing, unable to look directly at such a beautiful noblewoman."…Do you know who I am?"
"Eh?! Well… uh…"
"What do I do?! What do I tell him?!"Tears formed in her green eyes—on the inside."Dad, brother, someone help me!"
"Um… well… you are my… my boyfriend! Yes! You're my boyfriend! And your name is…"
"What name fits him…? Oh! I know!"
"…Arthur."She pointed at him confidently."And my name, m-my love… is Yumi."
He blinked, surprised, and then smiled innocently.
"What is… a boyfriend?"
"WHAAAAT?!"
