Chapter 332 - Chapter 8: Finding the Apartment; The Acting Manager

This is it. 'Spectral Manor Apartments.' I hope this is the right place.

Alistair stood before a building shaped like a concave "U" with a lush green courtyard in the center. As he scanned the area, a flash of pale blue caught his eye. He caught a glimpse of legs in dark tights disappearing up the stairwell.

He looked up to the second floor. It was Yukino Midwinter, the Snow Girl.

Good. Even if this isn't my building, finding her is a win.

He walked toward the "Manager's Office" on the first floor. He noticed dust on the handle. It looked abandoned.

CLICK.

The door swung open on its own. The interior was pitch black, but Alistair's night vision saw everything clearly. No life forms, just furniture. He stepped inside, and the door slammed shut behind him.

The room was silent. Suddenly, the TV flickered to life. It wasn't plugged in. The screen showed a grainy image of a forest and a well.

Sadako from The Ring? Alistair sat on the sofa, unbothered. He had the power of the talons and the dragon; he wasn't scared of a ghost.

A woman with long black hair covering her face slowly crawled out of the well. As she got closer to the screen, Alistair's expression changed. Wait... she's... 'stacked'.

The silhouette under her white dress was incredibly curvaceous. She crawled through the screen, her massive chest pressing against the floor as she emerged. Once fully out, she stood up and pulled her hair back into a ponytail, revealing a beautiful, pale face.

"You're Alistair Kujo?" she asked directly.

"Yes," Alistair nodded.

"Finally. I've been guarding this dump forever. It's... exhausting. You're the boss now. Here." She reached into her cleavage and pulled out a necklace, handing it to him.

Alistair took the warm, faintly scented pendant. No ceremony? No test?

"Test? Why bother? You being here is proof enough," she sighed. "I'm Sadako. I live in my own domain inside the TV. By the way, we're about to have dinner. Want to join?"

In there? Alistair pointed at the screen.

"Yeah. Follow me." She dived back into the TV. Alistair touched the glass; his hand went through like water.

Inside, he dropped down the well and landed on a tatami floor in a large, traditional Japanese living room. A hot pot was bubbling in the center, surrounded by several women.

"Here's your bowl," Sadako said, appearing next to him.

Alistair looked around. He recognized these "Urban Legends."
