Chapter 467 - Seeking Cooperation

Originally, Lex wanted to ask the members of the Tarot Club for help, but then he thought that doing so would expose his stance, and even his identity.

So he made a change, using the excuse of reminding the Tarot Club members to tell Klein about this matter.

He believed that Klein, who was living in Backlund at the time, would not want to see the city he lived in bombed by the Feysac Empire's airship fleet. Klein would definitely take action to indirectly prevent the Feysac Empire from attacking Loen.

Lex, of course, also did not want to see the Loen Kingdom engulfed in war, so he immediately thought of the Tarot Club, hoping to use this organization to warn Loen, so that they could respond and take action in time.

He also knew that this was not enough, and now he could only see what 'Black Sail' would do next.

Lex stood up and returned to the carriage. Not long after, Linsk came back.

It was already evening when they returned to Grand Town. Lex got off on Moon Boat Street, used 'Thousand-Faced Traveler' for disguise, and safely returned to the inn.

When he arrived at his room, he saw a figure standing by the corridor window, not very tall, but very sturdy.

His black hair was cut short, he had an X-shaped scar on his face, and his chin was covered in stubble. This was the Captain of the 'Wavebreaker', Lieutenant Commander Ken Angus of the Kingdom's Navy!

"Captain."

Lex saw the Lieutenant Commander and called out happily, then opened the wooden door to invite him in.

After closing the door, Lex said in a deep voice, "I just returned from the temporary base on the east side of the island, Captain. The Feysac Empire is going to take military action against us."

He fully disclosed the Feysac Empire's surprise attack plan, only omitting the part where Kardashian participated in intelligence gathering. Ken Angus did not press for details. After listening to Lex's report, the Captain let out a breath.

"This is really troublesome."

"They will take action next wednesday. In this way, even if we notify the colonial army, it will be too late to stop Feysac's actions."

Lex nodded gently. This was indeed a problem. It would take about two weeks of sailing to get from the Rorsted Archipelago.

"Captain, perhaps we can change our approach."

Lex said with a calm expression, "If we can't stop the Feysac Navy, then what do you think about seizing that Teleport item?"

The Lieutenant Commander looked at Lex and nodded, "That is indeed a method. If we get that item, the Feysac Navy will not be able to act according to their plan."

Lex nodded: "I think so too, but there's a problem. That item is currently held by a demigod in the Feysac army named 'Shevic'. To seize that item from a demigod, unless..."

Ken Angus finished his sentence: "Unless a demigod takes action. This is not impossible. Admiral Amyrius Rieveldt is a true demigod, and he should be able to arrive at Sonia Island before next wednesday."

Hmm, if it's a demigod, they shouldn't lack means of Teleport, whether it's a Beyonder skilled in Teleport or an item. Lex's expression brightened. If an Admiral takes action, they should be able to deal with that 'Iron-Blooded Knight'.

"But we also cannot ignore the Feysac Navy. What if Admiral Amyrius Rieveldt cannot seize that item in time, or if the item is transferred beforehand, we will still have to face the Feysac Navy."

Worry appeared on the Lieutenant Commander's face.

"In that case..."

Lex tapped his forehead with his hand, racking his brains for a countermeasure. Suddenly, a thought flashed, and he said, "Captain, perhaps you can go see someone."

"Who?" Ken Angus looked at him.

"Iceberg Admiral, Edwina. The Golden Dream is nearby."

Ken immediately grasped Lex's idea: "You want me to cooperate with Iceberg Admiral? Impossible. Even if she agrees, with just the two of us 'Admirals', we can't deal with the Feysac Navy."

"You don't need to deal with them, just be able to stall for time at a critical moment. Moreover, I didn't say that only the two of you would deal with the Feysac Navy." Lex's mouth curved into a smile.

That night.

On the Golden Dream, Danitz leaned against the railing, yawning: "I really envy that guy, Rayleigh, who can go to the island to play for a few days. Speaking of which, I haven't used my annual leave this year yet, or maybe I should apply for a vacation from the Captain."

At this moment, the Fourth Mate suddenly saw a small boat approaching the 'Golden Dream'. He rubbed his eyes, then exclaimed, "That guy, Rayleigh, why is he coming back at this time?"

When the small boat got closer, Danitz realized that besides Lex, there was also a very strong-looking man on board.

A moment later, Lex and the other man arrived on the deck of the 'Golden Dream'. He introduced them to Danitz and the other pirates: "This is Ken Angus, Captain of the 'Wavebreaker'."

Danitz immediately exclaimed, "'Iron-Blooded Commodore' Ken Angus? Rayleigh, what did you bring him here for?"

Lex said calmly, "We have something to discuss with the Captain, something very important."

"Then come in."

Edwina's voice came from the direction of the Captain's Cabin. So Lex and the other man, under the gaze of Danitz and the others, walked into the Captain's Cabin.

Seeing Danitz and the other pirates also squeeze in, Lex looked at Edwina and said, "Captain, the fewer people who know about this, the better."

Edwina looked at him and nodded, "Danitz, you all go out first."

Danitz looked at Ken Angus warily: "But, Captain..."

Edwina said indifferently, "If 'Iron-Blooded Commodore' wanted to deal with me, he wouldn't come alone. Moreover, I trust Rayleigh."

Danitz glanced at Lex again, then turned and waved his hand, shooing the pirates out of the Captain's Cabin.

After the door closed, Edwina then said, "Alright, we can talk now."

Ken Angus pressed his hand to his chest and bowed slightly to Iceberg Admiral: "First, I must thank you for your trust, Captain Madam."

"Also, let me introduce myself. I am Ken Angus, and also a Lieutenant Commander in the Loen Kingdom's Navy, currently affiliated with 'Black Sail'."

"This one, Hunter Rayleigh, was originally a crew member on my ship. But his true identity is a Navy Lieutenant. He accepted my orders to join your 'Golden Dream' as a hunter."

Suddenly, the door of the Captain's Cabin was slammed open. Danitz, Barrel, Iron Skin, and other pirates rushed in, their faces grim, with a sense of anger at being deceived.

Danitz's two singed yellow eyebrows shot up, and he pressed Lex, saying, "Is this true? Rayleigh, are you a Navy Lieutenant of the Loen Kingdom?"

Lex had already foreseen this fact when he came, and he nodded heavily: "It's true. I'm sorry, Danitz."

"Bullshit!" Danitz's hand glowed crimson, and suddenly a fireball appeared, "Perhaps I should blast you out now!"
