Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Help Yourself Instead of Others

Seven Masters are chosen, seven Servants are summoned, and they kill each other for the omnipotent wish-granting Holy Grail. The souls of the defeated Heroic Spirits merge into the Holy Grail, becoming a part of its activation.

The final victorious team obtains the Church's lesser grail and greater grail, and makes a wish.

"The rules are largely similar to Fuyuki City's. The biggest difference is that the Tokyo Holy Grail War is being held for the first time, so it shouldn't be contaminated… right?"

Yalin was skeptical about this. Given type-moon's overall tone, it was too normal for the Holy Grail to have a catch.

Who knows, maybe at the very end of the struggle, a shocking event would suddenly occur.

Don't let the Holy Grail open up and then black mud pour out, flooding the entire city; that would be a huge joke.

This wasn't baseless speculation; Kinoko Nasu and Gen Urobuchi's dark humor had been fully demonstrated in the Fourth and Fifth Holy Grail Wars.

"It shouldn't be that bad. The Fuyuki Holy Grail was contaminated because of Angra Mainyu. There's a world of difference between the tattered Holy Grail of the Fourth War and a Holy Grail making its debut for the first time.

So, can this Holy Grail truly rationally grant wishes and reach the Root?"

Honestly, Yalin was also curious about the Root.

However, for him right now, the primary goal was to ensure his own safety and Aika Sajou's life.

Tsk, it's hard to understand how Sajo Hiroki would entrust this responsibility to Aika.

"Yalin-kun, there's no need to worry about this; just leave everything to me. Besides you, I'm invincible against everyone else."

The girl clenched her delicate fists and waved them vigorously, trying to show off her powerful demeanor.

Unfortunately, her slender physique was not very convincing.

This declaration was also ignored by Yalin.

Aika was good in every way, but sometimes she was too overconfident and narcissistic.

"Yalin-kun doesn't believe me?" Aika Sajou raised an eyebrow. Even if she couldn't read thoughts, her expression said it all.

"No, Aika is the best." The perfunctory voice was undisguised.

She was already like this, so why not just humor her?

"I'm really being underestimated, aren't I?" Aika Sajou sighed.

She decided. She would get serious, completely conquer the Holy Grail War, and stuff all those Heroic Spirits into the cup.

No matter how powerful a Heroic Spirit, there was a way to defeat them; the difference was merely the extent to which one had to go.

As long as she willed it, the entire world would dance for her.

The only thing in the world that Aika Sajou could not control was the person in front of her… For Aika Sajou, who had been connected to the world since birth and was the embodiment of truth,

She could know everything in the world, and she could manipulate the rules of all things.

Since birth, she had lived a boring, pale life. All her actions were meaningless, and even maintaining vital activities became a burden.

Seeing through everything, possessing everything, understanding everything—in such circumstances, the world and her self intertwined and merged. At the end of egolessness, she gazed upon a pure white purgatory.

Even when she restricted herself, disguised herself as a doll, and acted normally towards her sister and father,

Everything in the world remained gray and dim.

As time passed, Aika Sajou's spirit became increasingly stagnant, like a living ghost.

Originally, the girl didn't care about this, waiting for her life to quietly pass until death.

But when she first met the young man in front of her, Aika Sajou was completely captivated, unable to break free, and unwilling to break free.

Her almost dead heart suddenly began to beat, and the mask she maintained shattered instantly.

Surprise, excitement, joy… all sorts of emotions intertwined.

The entire world gained color, and for the first time in her life, she felt truly alive, genuinely experiencing human emotions.

It was difficult to explain what kind of emotions she held for Yalin, but without a doubt, it was the most sincere and passionate 'love'.

Aika Sajou loved the man in front of her.

As for what kind of love it was, there was no need to be so clear… "How much longer until the Holy Grail War begins?"

As Aika Sajou decided to make a big move, Yalin asked.

Since he decided to participate as the ultimate insurance, responsible for pulling her out of the Uzumaki before she got completely beaten.

Next, he needed to figure out how to arm himself and improve his strength during the time before it started.

Wait, given Aika's physique, could she really be completely beaten?

Yalin glanced at the flat-chested girl, showing a subtle expression.

This child was probably beyond saving; he could only hope for a miracle to happen in the future.

"Roughly six months.

Besides, Yalin-kun, your gaze is quite rude."

Aika Sajou keenly sensed the malice in his gaze, and her face darkened.

Only shallow people would find useless flab attractive, and Yalin certainly wasn't that kind of person.

Moreover, she was still in her growth phase, and her future was promising.

"You're too sensitive." Yalin naturally wouldn't admit it.

He couldn't very well say that given Aika's situation, if she had children in the future, they would probably starve to death.

The girl looked at Yalin suspiciously but didn't delve deeper, wisely stopping this self-deprecating topic… "Currently, the biggest problem is insufficient combat power. Compared to those non-human Servants, even the weakest Assassin in terms of direct combat among the classes. It wouldn't take too much effort to defeat me head-on."

"The fundamental data gap is too large; this is a hard injury that is difficult to make up for."

After seeing Aika off, Yalin continued to ponder countermeasures.

"The physical qualities of these Servants are generally tens, or even hundreds, of times higher than that of ordinary people, plus their Noble Phantasms with various effects.

And they are all big shots with extremely high mystery, truly difficult to deal with."

Under normal circumstances, even a Magician would find it hard to pose a threat to a Servant.

The gap between the two is difficult to bridge with various methods.

As for tearing Servants apart, those who can do it are all chosen ones with cheats.

With the current conditions, it's really impossible to fight, impossible in every sense.

If he were to force his way in, he would only be cleaned up as a mere minion.

But it doesn't matter, it's better to rely on himself than others; there will definitely be a way.

"I can't be lazy anymore." Yalin's gaze was firm, his mind completely made up.

From today onwards, he must consistently stake out the Mysterious Space every day.

What if a big shot capable of spinning the Earth on their fingertip appears, or a Newbie with an invincible talent?

At the very least, continuously raising his own potential ceiling is also a broad path.

As long as his potential is high enough, even just training can turn him into a One-Punch Man, invincible in the world.

By then, let alone Servants, even Beasts would get two slaps, and even O-rank threats would have to walk around him.

Imagining the scene of wreaking havoc, Yalin's lips curled slightly, then he slapped his head to clear his mind.

"This feels like buying a lottery ticket and, before even winning, fantasizing about how to spend the money."

"Forget it, it's come to this, let's sleep first; everything is in dreams."

Yalin stopped thinking, and after washing up, returned to his bedroom and fell into a deep sleep. His consciousness continuously sank, falling into the abyss, and arriving at the Mysterious Space.
