Robert was a young boy who lived with his grandmother in a small village. They didn't have much, but they shared a home filled with love, warmth, and faith.
One winter, his grandmother noticed Robert's coat had grown too small. She decided to make him a new one using every bit of leftover cloth she could find. Each patch was a different color and texture — red, blue, yellow, green, soft, rough, smooth.
As she sewed, she whispered gentle blessings into every stitch. "May this coat keep you warm and remind you that love can be found even in the smallest things," she said.
When the coat was finished, Robert proudly wore it everywhere. The other children laughed at him, calling it "The Rag Coat," but Robert didn't mind. He felt the love and care in every piece.
One day, a terrible storm hit the village. Robert found a small child shivering outside and immediately wrapped his colorful coat around him. "You need it more than I do," he said softly.
The next morning, Robert caught a bad cold. His grandmother worried, but he only smiled and said, "It's okay, Grandma. My coat kept someone else warm."
Years passed. Robert grew up to become a kind doctor who helped everyone, no matter how poor they were. He often told people, "My grandmother taught me that the greatest blessings come from giving."
And though his coat had long worn away, he carried its colors in his heart — red for love, blue for peace, yellow for joy, and green for hope.
