After a tiring day of helping the inn owner with her work as a distraction from her adventures, Roxanne followed Freya to the bathhouse after everyone else had already gone to sleep. The two wished to soak themselves in nearly bubbling hot water–a ritual the girls had built up for when they wanted to relax and exfoliate dead skin.
Undressing in the dressing room, Roxanne and Freya wrapped themselves in towels before heading into the open-air bathhouse. The stars were bright that night, and the moon was just as radiant. Its reflection glistened in the steaming pool made of polished rocks and magical runes to get it as cold or as warm as required.
Walking into the hot water, the girls sat down and soaked themselves up to their chests. The burning water was a bit uncomfortable at first, but as soon as their bodies got used to the temperature, the ache in their muscles began soothing bit by bit. Leaning against the pool's walls, the two heaved a sigh together and let out a laugh.
