Chapter 7 - Sophia's Revenge

Chapter 7

As Sophia walked out of the office building, she felt a sense of defeat wash over her. She had lost everything: her job, her reputation, and her chance to get revenge on Alexander.

But as she walked down the street, she couldn't shake off the feeling that she had been wronged. Alexander had hurt her, and she had never gotten the chance to make him pay.

Suddenly, an idea struck her. She pulled out her phone and dialed a number.

"Hello, Samantha," a voice answered.

"Sophia, actually," she corrected. "I have a proposition for you, Alexander. Meet me at the old warehouse at midnight if you want to know the truth about Emily."

Alexander, intrigued, agreed to meet her.

As the clock struck midnight, Alexander arrived at the warehouse. Sophia was waiting for him, a sly smile on her face.

"I know a secret about Emily," she said, her voice dripping with venom. "A secret that could destroy everything you've built together."

Alexander's eyes narrowed. "What are you talking about?"

"Emily's not who you think she is," Sophia said, her smile growing wider. "She's been playing you all along. She's working for ZenithCorp, feeding them information about Thompson Inc."

Alexander's face turned white with shock. "That's not true," he said, but his voice lacked conviction.

Sophia pulled out a folder full of documents, including emails and recordings of Emily's conversations with ZenithCorp.

"See for yourself," she said, her smile triumphant.

Alexander's eyes scanned the documents, his heart sinking with every word. It couldn't be true. Emily couldn't be working against him.

But the evidence was clear. Emily had been playing him all along.

As Alexander walked out of the warehouse, he felt like he'd been punched in the gut. He didn't know what to believe anymore.

Sophia watched him go, a sense of satisfaction washing over her. She had finally gotten her revenge.

But as she turned to leave, she didn't see the figure watching her from the shadows. A figure who had been playing her all along.

The game was far from over.

As Alexander walked back to his office, he felt like he was walking through a nightmare. He couldn't believe that Emily would betray him like this. They had been so happy, so in love.

He burst into his office, where Emily was waiting for him. She looked up, a smile on her face, but it faltered as she saw the look on Alexander's face.

"What's wrong?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Alexander threw the folder on the table, the documents spilling out. "Is it true?" he demanded. "Are you working for ZenithCorp?"

Emily's face went white as she saw the evidence. She knew she had been caught.

"Alexander, I can explain," she said, her voice shaking.

But Alexander wasn't having it. "Explain?" he repeated, his voice rising. "Explain how you've been feeding them information about Thompson Inc.? Explain how you've been playing me all along?"

Emily took a step back, tears streaming down her face. "It wasn't like that, Alexander. I was going to tell you, I swear."

But Alexander wasn't listening. He felt like he had been punched in the gut. He couldn't believe that he had fallen for her act.

"Get out," he said, his voice cold. "Get out of my office, and get out of my life."

Emily's face crumbled, and she turned and ran out of the office, tears streaming down her face.

As the door closed behind her, Alexander felt a sense of numbness wash over him. He had been played, and he didn't know how to recover.

But as he looked at the documents on the table, he realized that something wasn't adding up. The evidence seemed too perfect, too convenient.

And then, he remembered the conversation he had with Sophia. "I know a secret about Emily," she had said.

Suddenly, Alexander's eyes widened as he realized the truth. Sophia had set Emily up. She had framed her for the sabotage.

But why? What was Sophia's motive?

Alexander's mind was racing as he picked up the phone and dialed a number. He was going to get to the bottom of this, and he was going to make sure that Sophia paid for what she had done.
