Chapter 67 - the first night

After Yuuto placed the ring on Belfast's finger, he stepped back a few paces.

He stood straight, directly facing all of them.

"Thank you," Yuuto said softly yet firmly,

"thank you for being willing to accept me."

Six pairs of eyes looked at him with different smiles—gentle, warm, filled with conviction.

Yuuto took a deep breath.

"Since all of you have spoken your wedding vows," he continued,

"now it is my turn."

He raised his head, his voice echoing throughout the Garden of Avalon.

"I, Yuuto Kido, heir to the dreams and resolve of Arthur Pendragon, King of Great Britain—

and one regarded by him as a younger brother."

"Bearer of the Sin of Pride—the primordial sin of Lucifer, the angel who became a demon after rebelling against God and being cast from Heaven."

"And bearer of the blood of the Genuine Fae—child of Gaia, the manifestation of the world's will itself, and therefore one who is loved by the world."

He extended his hand.

"With the entire world as my witness, I swear—

to be a good husband to all of you."

"To protect you, love you, and walk together with you… no matter what happens."

Irene, Yamato, Belfast, and Lady Avalon stepped forward first, each holding Yuuto's left hand.

Ruri and Miku stepped forward last. With their small hands, they held Yuuto's fingers, slowly placing rings onto his finger.

One by one, those hands were released.

Six bells rang out simultaneously from all directions.

Avalon's flowers scattered through the air, filling it with light and fragrance.

Lady Avalon smiled teasingly as she held Yuuto's arm.

"Congratulations, honey. From now on, you have six very beautiful wives."

"From now on," Belfast added gently,

"please take care of me, darling."

Irene held Yuuto's hand on the other side, saying nothing—yet her grip said enough.

"Hahaha! Anata!" Yamato shouted cheerfully.

"Now that the wedding's done, next is babies! How many do you want? I want eleven!"

"Babies?!" Ruri jolted.

"Y–Yamato! You're way too fast! We need to make sure everything is ready first!"

Miku nodded, blushing deeply.

"That's right… we need to be prepared first."

Yuuto chuckled softly.

"That can wait. First, we'll build our island—

it needs to be suitable for living, since it will become our kingdom."

"Hm… alright," Yamato smiled.

"If that's what you want, anata, I'll follow."

Yuuto nodded, then turned to Lady Avalon.

"Now let's return to Camelot," Yuuto said, looking at her.

"Sensei, please."

"Very well," she replied lightly.

She struck her staff.

Woooos—

Light swallowed them all, and the Garden of Avalon fell silent once more.

---

All members of the Tree of Life crew reappeared on board the ship Belfast.

The sky had turned to dusk.

The wedding dresses they had worn earlier had vanished.

Only their original clothes remained… along with the wedding rings shining on their fingers.

"Hmmmm—"

Yuuto stretched slowly. "That was tiring."

"Well then," Irene said, crossing her arms,

"what shall we do next?"

"Oh… right," Yuuto looked up at the dusk sky, thinking.

"All group missions are finished now. There's nothing urgent we need to do."

Then Lady Avalon's voice was heard—mischievous, gentle, and full of meaning.

"Honey… did you forget something?" she said with a smile.

"This is an important night, you know."

"An important night?" Yamato tilted her head.

"What's important about it, Lady Avalon?"

"Oh, Yamato… you really are innocent," Lady Avalon replied with a chuckle.

Kuroneko and Miku exchanged glances.

They immediately understood Lady Avalon's meaning, and both of their faces flushed at the same time.

"W-what's the big deal?" Yamato asked, still confused.

Then Irene's voice rang out—clear and calm.

"It's our first night."

"...?"

Yamato tilted her head even more.

"What's special about the first night?"

Everyone facepalmed at once.

"Yamato…" Yuuto sighed deeply.

"Belfast, please explain it to her."

"Very well, darling," Belfast replied elegantly.

She walked over to Yamato and guided her toward a corner of the ship.

"Please come with me, Miss Yamato. I will explain it to you."

"Eh? Can't you just explain it here?" Yamato asked innocently.

"No," Belfast replied gently but firmly.

"There are things that may be… awkward to explain directly."

"Hm… alright," Yamato nodded and followed Belfast.

Everyone watched them leave.

Yuuto then spoke again, his tone gentle.

"I don't mind if you don't want to do it tonight," he said.

"You must be tired, and it's my first time too."

"Y-yeah…" Kuroneko nodded quickly, her face red.

"We don't have to do it tonight, right? I-I'm still underage for that."

She lowered her head, her voice weakening.

"A-and… I have to return to my world now. The time-stop item for this mission is almost used up, s-so I need to go home."

"Oh," Yuuto approached her.

"You're going back, Ruri?"

"Yes, Yuuto."

"When the route to your world opens like Yamato's world," Yuuto said with a smile,

"I'll come and greet your family. It wouldn't be right not to greet my parents-in-law and sister-in-law."

Kuroneko's face turned completely red.

"Y-Yuuto!!"

She ran up and started punching Yuuto with her small fists.

"Hahaha—" Yuuto laughed; the blows didn't hurt at all.

Then Irene spoke again.

"I will be leaving as well, my husband."

"Oh? You too?" Yuuto turned.

"Yes," Irene said calmly.

"I've been away from the Alvarez Empire for nearly a month without saying anything. His Majesty and my followers must be searching for me."

"His Majesty… you mean Zeref?" Kuroneko asked, stopping her punches.

Irene nodded and opened her folding phone.

"I will leave now."

"Irene, wait," Yuuto called.

"Hm?" Irene turned.

"We need to talk about Erza later," Yuuto said as he approached.

"After all, she is your daughter… and now she is my daughter as well."

Irene's brow twitched—a sign of irritation.

"If those words came from anyone else," she said coldly,

"I would have killed them on the spot."

Then she smiled at Yuuto.

"However… very well. We will talk about it later."

"Hoho~," Lady Avalon wrapped her arm around Yuuto's.

"Now you have a daughter older than yourself, honey."

Yuuto looked at Lady Avalon and gently flicked her forehead.

"Ow—what do you mean by that?" Lady Avalon said, covering her forehead.

"Erza is not only my daughter and Irene's daughter," Yuuto said.

"She is your daughter as well."

Lady Avalon smiled teasingly upon hearing that.

"Hehe~ she might regret becoming my daughter," she said, as if she had found a new toy.

"I can't believe I'm a mother now—with a daughter older than me," Kuroneko muttered.

Miku spoke while thinking.

"According to Kuroneko's information… there's about one year left, right?

Until the core Fairy Tail members appear on Tenrou Island."

"Yes," Kuroneko said.

"Irene's world is still in X790. The Grand Magic Games will begin soon, so there's still about a year before Natsu and the others appear."

"And after that, we'll meet our daughter together," Yuuto said, looking at Irene.

Irene was silent for a moment… then nodded.

"Yes."

She stepped forward and kissed Yuuto gently.

"Until we meet again, my husband."

Light enveloped Irene—and she vanished.

Soon after, Yamato's voice was heard.

"So… Irene went home, huh?"

Everyone turned around.

Yamato and Belfast were walking back side by side.

"Oh?" Lady Avalon smiled knowingly as she continued holding Yuuto's hand.

"Yamato… do you understand now what I meant?"

"Hahahaha… yeah, I understand now," Yamato laughed openly.

"Belfast explained it to me."

She then faced Yuuto, her expression becoming more serious.

"I'm sorry, Yuuto. I can't do it tonight," she said honestly.

"I need to return to Wano as soon as possible. I'm worried about my people. Even though I left plenty of food with those I trust to distribute, I'm still concerned."

Yuuto shook his head gently.

"You don't need to apologize, Yamato. I don't want to force you either."

Yamato nodded, then took out her folding phone and turned to Belfast.

"Belfast, for now, stay here. Wano is too chaotic to be a place for you to live."

"Understood, Miss Yamato," Belfast replied gracefully.

"I will stand by here."

"You don't have to stay here all the time," Miku said.

"You can follow other members. You're not a group member, so interworld travel restrictions don't apply to you."

"You can do that?" Yamato asked, surprised.

"Yes," Miku nodded.

"It sounds harsh, but Belfast is classified by the group as a reward item."

"Wow… that's surprising," Kuroneko muttered.

Yamato looked at Belfast for a few seconds.

"In that case, for now, go with Yuuto," Yamato said.

"Yes, Miss Yamato," Belfast replied softly.

"I will follow darling to his world."

Yuuto frowned slightly.

"Is that really okay, Yamato?"

"Why not Kuroneko's world or Miku's? Their worlds are relatively safe."

Yamato smiled casually.

"It's fine, anata. If Belfast stays in this world alone, she'll just be lonely," she said.

"Besides, Belfast is your wife too."

"It's probably best for Belfast to go with you, Yuuto," Kuroneko said resignedly.

"I actually wanted to take her to my world, but… my world has the game Azur Lane."

She sighed.

"Belfast is very famous there. If she appears, it'll attract attention. I could use cosplay as an excuse, but I can't do that forever—same with Miku's world."

Miku thought for a moment, then nodded.

"Hmm… it seems my world has similar issues."

Yuuto smiled softly.

"Then it's settled," he said.

"Belfast will come with me. That game doesn't exist in my world."

"From now on," Belfast said with a gentle smile,

"I am under your care, darling."

Yamato stepped forward and kissed Yuuto quickly but sincerely.

"See you later, anata."

Light enveloped Yamato's body, and she vanished before them.

A few seconds later, Kuroneko's voice was heard.

"Alright, Yuuto… I'm leaving now."

She opened her folding phone, but then suddenly stepped closer.

Yuuto looked at her—understanding immediately.

He leaned down slightly.

Kuroneko kissed his lips briefly, her face red.

"S-see you…"

Light appeared once more,

and Kuroneko disappeared.

After Kuroneko left, Lady Avalon released Yuuto's hand and stepped forward, standing directly in front of him.

"I'll be leaving too, honey," she said lightly.

"I need to research this Mana Zone further, and a few other things."

Yuuto looked at her and smiled softly.

"Thank you, Sensei, for lending your place for our wedding earlier."

"Fufu~ you're welcome, honey."

Lady Avalon's gaze then shifted behind Yuuto—toward Miku and Belfast.

Her smile changed, as if she had realized something unspoken.

"But before I go," she said softly,

"I want to speak with Miku for a moment."

"Eh?" Miku jolted.

"W-why me?"

"Is something wrong with Miku, Sensei?" Yuuto asked.

Lady Avalon only smiled meaningfully.

"There's something. You'll understand later. Come here, Miku."

"O-okay…"

Miku followed Lady Avalon to the other side of the deck.

In a low voice, Lady Avalon took out a small package and handed it to her.

"Use this… you'll need it," she said gently.

"It will prevent the worst possibility."

"W-what is this?" Miku asked, confused.

"You'll understand later," Lady Avalon replied.

"Belfast will understand too. Don't worry—there are no side effects. Use it before you and Belfast begin."

Miku realized what she meant, her face turning red.

After that, Lady Avalon returned to Yuuto.

"Hm… all done?" Yuuto asked.

"Yes."

She stepped closer and kissed Yuuto gently—briefly.

"Have fun, honey."

Light from her folding phone enveloped her body, and Lady Avalon vanished.

Miku walked back to Yuuto. Belfast also stepped closer, standing on the other side.

"Miku, you're not going home either?" Yuuto asked.

"N-no… I don't have anything urgent," Miku replied softly.

Yuuto nodded.

"Then… let's rest."

He turned to enter the cabin, but Miku suddenly tugged at the hem of his clothes.

"Y-Yuuto…"

her voice was barely audible.

"I… want to do it with you tonight."

Yuuto froze, seeing Miku's face burning red. He was just about to reply when Belfast spoke calmly.

"Darling… I want it too."

"Miku and I have already talked. We agreed to do it together."

Miku's face turned bright red, steam practically rising from her head.

Yuuto's eyes widened.

"T-together…?"

"Yes," Belfast answered briefly.

Miku simply covered her face, too embarrassed to speak.

Yuuto was silent for a long time.

Then he let out a soft breath and accepted it.

"…It's my first time too, and doing it with both of you…," he said honestly.

"Alright, let's do it. I'd be an idiot to refuse."

He held Miku's and Belfast's hands.

"Then… let's go."

They entered the cabin together.

The night sky was filled with stars.

The ship Belfast sailed slowly through a silent, vast world.

After several hours passed—

Then—

KLNK

The sound echoed from inside the ship.

And the night continued…

in warm silence, filled with trust, and bonds that were now inseparable.
