Chapter 36 - The Party
Rosabel said he wouldn't be here. But he was, and he was looking right at her.
Idalia felt the urge to turn back but even at this stage, with the amount of fear that rushed in her veins, she knew there was no turning back.
"I have been expecting you," she heard a man's voice say from beside her and she turned swiftly in. That direction.
The blonde curly hair stood out even though now it was in a bun, and despite the mask, she knew it was him. He looked better than he did on the invitation card, clearer than he did when she had seen him from the balcony.
He had on a white blazer with golden embroidery around it, with a black slim-fit shirt which had a couple of buttons undone, then a pair of black pants. A golden earring dangled from his left ear and when he flashed her a smile, she saw that he had a golden tooth.
