Chapter 1 - page 1

"so according to you, will we all die?"

"Not die, but perish. Different."

Those two words were like piercing my heart, as I looked out the library window. I saw children playing happily, while the end of the world was in progress. Perishable is more than just death, perish means not existing, not remembered, and losing the meaning of life.

"Perishable yes. That's more than just death, it means you disappear from existence, and people's memories." - said my friend.

"Yes. Indeed. We will perish before this universe will perish." - I whispered.

My heart was restless when I saw the sky that was still standing intact without any damage.

"My friend, are you scared of this certain end?" - asked my friend calmly.

"Yes." I admitted it "Maybe I'm scared not only because we will all perish, but because I'm afraid that if we disappear, this life will have no meaning" - I answered calmly.

My friend looked out the window towards the sky, and said "look at the sky, the clouds are still floating, the blue sky is still standing. So we don't need to be afraid, just live meaningfully. Even though 'we' consider this a game, but the meaning is real, not an illusion."

I sighed in relief, and continued the conversation "one day, the world will no longer show its beauty, but will show its destructive side.

Humans will despair, but for those who live with meaning will definitely accept this fate, and face it with relief."

"In your opinion, when will the universe end?" - asked my friend.

"I don't know either, but as far as I know, the 'jar' hourglass in the middle east, located in the middle of the desert is the closest indicator to the end of the universe.

Currently the hourglass is almost out of sand, and will repeat the time calculation, so if the repetition occurs, then it indicates the beginning of the destructive process that will occur." - I answered my friend's question.

"Is it possible that our lives will be meaningless after the end of this world?" - I whispered, my voice barely audible.
