Synopsis: The Prince is up to his usual antics as he goes around being pompous and flaunting his achievements. Little did he know that he was about to...
From the previous story, it starts with Hou & Garga's sudden disappearance, which shocked almost everyone.
Daryl: Wait, what?a
Masato: That's so sudden. Why didn't he say anything?
Alexandre Ankh: It's Obvious. He suffered from so much humiliation that he decided to flee.
In Dragon World.
Hou: It's been three days already. I can't do a thing.
Gigantusk: The Gargantua Ruins. Home of the Deity Dragon Tribe.
And then Garga and Gingantusk fought, before Garga was about to meet his end as Gigantusk is about to sledgehammer him.
Hou: NO!!!! I'm not gonna let him kill you off like that. I figured it out. I want to defeat Prince Alexandre Ankh. We're Buddies, aren't we?
Garga: Yes, we are, my friend.
Hou & Garga: (Fist Bump) Yeah!!!
Garga's evolution begins, and this blinds Hou before he opens his eyes a little.
Hou: Oh...My...God!!!
OP: Undead.
At World Buddy Academia, it's school day as usual. Students are roaming around, discussing various topics. Noises are everywhere. It's like a busy market. Meanwhile, Masato, Daryl, and Gwen are worried in one corner. Daryl is contacting someone through his phone, except no one answers, much to his dismay.
Daryl: He's not answering...
Masato: Man...it's been a week already. Why does he even need a 7-day break?
Gwen: I'm surprised and concerned, as all of you. It really came out of the blue and...I'm worried.
Daryl: More importantly, why didn't he tell us? This is just like the time he didn't tell us about fighting Gao Mikado.
Masato: (Scratching his hair) Argh...where could he possibly be?
Suddenly, they hear a bunch of girls screaming, catching their attention in surprise. A lot of female classmates are running past them, creating dust in the wind, which moves their hair and clothes. Their hairs are now messed up...
Masato: {Annoyed} Now what?
Daryl: Oh dear...
Apparently, there are so many female students surrounding the charming young prince of the Ankh Kingdom. While the girls are fan-girling, he is signing a bunch of autographs, while feeling very grand and pompous.
Alexandre Ankh: Patience. One at a time. Everyone gets a signature from yours truly. (smirks, shiny teeth)
The girls continue screaming happily, and one girl even yells, "He's such a gentleman!!! Ah!!!!" Meanwhile, the other three are reacting this badly with their mouths open.
Masato: He's still at it.
Daryl: Unbelievable. (realizes) Wait, Gwen. You're not going to be like them?
Gwen: No. He's not my type.
The young prince then spots the three annoyed friends and lets out another smirk. He starts being arrogant and looks down on them.
Alexandre Ankh: Well, well, well. If it isn't the Ace of Study and the Ace of Sports. Where's your friend, huh? Did he abandon you?
Masato: {Angry} Take that—-
Daryl suddenly stops him by patting his shoulder, which surprises him.
Daryl: You've got some nerve saying that. You're lucky he's not here right now.
Alexandre Ankh: So it seems. I applaud you both for staying on track, but you're still nothing but a bunch of commoners.
Masato: Why you——
Alexandre Ankh: (interrupts) Have it your way. But even if you two face me, I guarantee you will lose. After all, I'm the strongest buddyfighter in this Academy. No one can top me. (Laughs)
???: Oh, really?
Alexandre Ankh: {surprised} Huh? (Turns around) Who's there?
Suddenly, gusts of wind out of nowhere just burst through everyone by surprise. A boy walks in with eyes blocked by shade. He wears a black T-shirt and has a white jacket worn as a cape. He also has two wrist-wraps around his hands, which are in his pocket. Everyone's surprised.
Masato: Wait...it's...
The boy who enters the room is none other than Hou himself. He's looking very serious with his eyes sharp and his expression is cold as ice.
Hou: Surprise.
Gwen: Hou!!!
Daryl: You're here!!! Where have you been?
Hou: Save the questions for later. I have business with him. (Looks at the Prince)
The Prince looks at him with a smirk.
Daryl: {stern} Something's off. Hou's not like this, is he?
Masato: No...but he is kinda cool. With that jacket as a cape and his hands in his pockets and all.
Alexandre Ankh: You have business with me? I thought I told you that I'll never fight you. You have 0 points, remember?
Hou: Oh yeah? (Reveals his points on his phone) Maybe this will change your mind.
Hou has 2 MILLION POINTS???? Everyone's shocked.
Daryl: 2 MILLION POINTS????
Masato: How the...What?
Hou: (puts away his phone) You should see what's behind me, too.
Everyone then look what's behind Hou as he said. So many students are down, fainted, and defeated. They're even more shocked.
Hou: (Looks at his nails) I may or may not have defeated them off-screen. I even snatched their points, so to speak. Convinced yet?
Daryl: No way...
Masato: Talk about overkill...
Hou: (To the prince) Since you're so strong and all, beating me should be easy, right? If I lose, I'll even get down on my knees and admit you're the strongest.
Alexandre Ankh: Is that right? Alright, I'll fight you again. I never expected you to be so arrogant, too.
The two fighters stare at each other with their aura energies shining bright. While the prince smirks, Hou remains unfazed and cold as he looks at him with fierce eyes. Everyone else is watching with worry. Soon enough, they're gathered at the stage. President Jingunji is also watching from the seats.
Ion: Whenever there's a Buddyfight, you'll find us, Ion & Takokichi. Once again, the Ace of Legend, Prince Alexandre Ankh, and the Ace of Games, Teng Hou Ren, are facing off. Wait, Hou's looking very cool today. I have never seen him like this. What's going on?
Alexandre Ankh: Behold! Every part of my fight is legendary! Luminize, Legend of Double Horus!
Hou: Stand forth. O Knights of Never Ending Stream. Luminize, Dra-Breaker.
Ion & Tako: Buddy...Fight!!!
Both: Raise the Flag.
Alexandre Ankh: Legend World.
Hou: Dragon World.
Ion: The first move goes to Hou.
Hou: Draw. Charge & Draw. I call to the center. Awakened Deity Dragon, Laufen Gardragon.
Laufen: (Appears) I'm here to serve, My Liege.
Ion: A new monster right off the bat!!!
Hou: I cast. Gar-Oracle. (Draws) And I equip Garknight Lance. (equips) Laufen. Attack the fighter.
Laufen: (Attacks) Yes, Sir!!!
Alexandre Ankh braces himself. He then takes 2 damage.
Alexandre's Life: 10 → 8
Hou: My turn is now over.
Ion: Now it's the Prince's turn. All eyes are on him.
Alexandre Ankh: I don't care you got a makeover or whatever. Clothes don't define your skill. Draw. Charge & Draw. Equip... Scepter of Mathaf. (Equips) I then call Strolling Public Duty, Ishtara, to the center.
Ishtara: (Appears) Need some help?
Alexandre Ankh: With its effect, I gain 2 gauge and 1 life. Now I cast, "Tribute and Summon".
Ishtara is destroyed. The prince also discards one hand card and pays 2 gauge.
Alexandre Ankh: Looking at the top 3 cards of my deck. I can summon 2 monsters among them at no cost. Serf of Decoration, Alla Al to the center.
Alla Al: (Appears) What a surprise.
Alexandre Ankh: And the other monster? (reveals) It's Freeza Horus himself!!! I buddycall to the left.
Freeza Horus is summoned as he roars aloud.
Alexandre Ankh: I place the last card to my gauge. And since I discarded Baby Dragon of Rocky Ground, Rishu, my gauge and life increase. Further, I have Freeza Horus on board. Meaning I get to summon (reveals) Magma Horus from my hand. Come forth!!!
Magma Horus is also summoned. And the two buddies are shown side by side once again. (Note: If both Magma and Freeza Horus are among the three, you can only buddycall Freeza Horus among them.)
Ion: THERE IT IS. THE PRINCE'S TWO BUDDIES. FREEZA HORUS AND MAGMA HORUS.
Masato: Not only has he summoned them, but he has reached 12 life.
Daryl: Tribute means like an offering. So he made a sacrifice to summon even more powerful monsters.
Masato: And he used his other cards as a combo in order to increase his forces. I gotta hand it to him, he really is the Ace of Legend.
While the prince makes his statement, Hou remains calm while being unfazed.
Alexandre Ankh: I applaud your bravery, but at the same time, I pity your foolishness. But either way, I will once again crush you!!! With Magma Horus's ability, I destroy Laufen Gardragon.
Magma breeds fire, and Laufen is burned alive and revives. And Alexandre Ankh draws two cards.
Hou: When Laufen is destroyed, I gain 1 gauge and 1 life.
Alexandre Ankh: Doesn't matter. They'll soon be disposed of either way. Alla AI. Dispose of the center.
Alla Al attacks.
Alexandre Ankh: When Alla AI attacks, I also increase my gauge and draw a card.
The attack hits, and Hou gains the effects.
Alla AI: Double attack. (Attacks)
Hou: I cast. Deity Blue Dragon Shield. (Blocks)
Alexandre Ankh: You shall regret having stood before the Prince of Ankh Kingdom. Freeza Horus. Attack the fighter.
Freeza Horus: As you wish. (Attacks and hits)
Ion: Freeza Horus proceeds to attack two more times, and all of its attacks hit, causing 6 damage!!!
Hou's Life: 12 → 10 → 8 → 6
Masato: {surprised} His life points are now halved!!!
Daryl: {stern} And it's not over yet!!!
Gwen: (prays in worry) Hou...
Alexandre Ankh: Magma Horus. Burn thy enemy alive.
Magma Horus breeds fire once again. Hou braces himself. The attack hits twice.
Hou's Life: 6 → 4 → 2
Magma Horus: This will end you. (claw attack)
Hou: Cast. Green Dragon Shield. (Blocks)
Alexandre Ankh: Such Insolence. I rest Scepter of Mathaf and stand Alla AI on the field. Alla AI. One more time.
Alla AI's attack hits, 1 life left. All of the spectators are shocked.
Ion: {freaking out} Now Hou's at one life left. He's like a candle in the wind!!!
Alexandre Ankh: (chuckles) As I said. I'm the strongest buddyfighter alive. Final Phase. (Pays 2 gauge) Cast. -Forbidden Light of Double Deity- Aktar Pheido!!!
Impact Sequence.
Alexandre Ankh: Impact...Aktar Pheido!!!
The Impact strikes forth towards an unfazed and standing Hou. An explosion suddenly occurs from Hou's side the moment it hits. Everyone is shocked. The prince is smiling with confidence. But suddenly, his smirk turns to shock. The smoke slowly clears, and Hou is still standing with his eyes clouded by shade???
Alexandre Ankh: What???
Freeza Horus & Magma Horus: Impossible!!!
Hou: (Reveals his spell) I cast. Gar-Heilen.
Hou's Life: 1
Everyone's surprised, and the crowd cheers loudly.
Ion: SAY WHAT???? Hou survived the Impact???? How can this be???
Masato: No way...He survived the turn!!!
Daryl: I know...
Kei, while sitting there, stares with a smile, with crossed arms.
Hou: {cold} How's that for a commoner, huh? Didn't expect me to survive, did you? You always go around, looking down on others as you please. Do you even know the meaning of "Humble"?
Alexandre Ankh: Grrr. My turn is over. [How dare he lecture me? I'm the Ace of Legend for crying out loud. I must survive this. I must win.]
Ion: It's now Hou's turn. But unless he does something, he will be destroyed next turn!!!
Daryl: {Worried} Wait...I just realized something. Where's Garga?
As Daryl mentioned earlier, Garga is not there beside Hou. Masato and Gwen are surprised.
Masato: Yeah, you're right...where is he?
Meanwhile, Hou is just standing there unfazed. His eyes are still blocked by shade. He breathes in and breathes out. His eyes become sharper, and then his spirit emerges. And it's Orange???
Hou: AHHHHHHHH!!!
Alexandre Ankh: {Shocked} What?
Hou: DRAW... CHARGE... AND... DRAW!!!
Masato & Daryl: {Surprised} Hou???
In a cool anime sequencing style, Hou wields a glowing card in his open hand while making his statement.
Hou: You, who command the heavens, I call upon thee. (Throws it up high) Transcend from the sky and gallop towards victory. I pay 2 gauge and buddycall to the right.
The card draws orange power and moves itself to the right. Garga appears, yes, but as something new. Instead of wielding a cape, it's Garga with four legs instead???? His armor plates become red and orange. His armor now includes swords attached to it. He even wields a blue lance!!!
Garga: I am Gargantua Bladecentaur. Here and read to fight!!! I, who command the very heavens, have now been summoned to charge towards the edges of Earth. There's no stopping me and my buddy. (Roars)
Everyone's very shocked.
Ion: WHAT WHAT WHAT???? WHAT IS THIS GARGA? WHAT???
Masato: NO WAY.
Dary: He has 4 legs???
Hou: You haven't seen anything yet. (holds a card) Fight alongside the Centaur of Combat. I summon you, Evolution Storm, Reshoot Dragon!!!
Reshoot Dragon: (Appears) It is an honour to fight alongside the Deity of Combat. I am Evolution Storm, Reshoot Dragon.
Everyone's shocked once again.
Ion: WHAT THE. HOU JUST CALLED A SIZE 3 FOR THE FIRST TIME!! BUT HOW?
Hou: As long as Garga's on board, Reshoot's size becomes one instead. Now I cast. Dragonic Grimoire. (Draws) Equip!!! (throws the card up high and it appears) Deity Dragon Dual Lights, Gar Twin Saber!!! (catches and holds the two sabers in a stance)
Gwen: And a new item!!!
Hou: Now I cast. GBoost Over. (Ability, Sharp-Eyes) Okay, Garga & Reshoot. Let's show them our new power.
Garga: (Nods) Just say the word.
Reshoot: (Nods) Do it.
Hou: Okay. GBoost Craft. Activate!!!
Hou yells aloud while orange energy surrounds it. Garga and Reshoot also power up with the same reaction!!! Alexandre Ankh is shocked.
Hou: Prince Alexandre Ankh. I admit you're strong. But today, I will surpass you!!! Reshoot. Attack the center.
Reshoot: Right. (Attacks)
Alexandre Ankh: Not so fast. I cast. Power of Mythology!!!
A portal appears, and a giant hand comes out and attempts to block. But Reshoot glows his eyes and destroys the hand with quick motion, left and right, shattering it. The prince is shocked.
Alexandre Ankh: What?
Hou: Sorry to disappoint you, but Reshoot cannot be stopped when attacking alone.
Alla AI is then destroyed by a piercing strike as he yells aloud.
Reshoot: Penetrate!!!
Alexandre's Life: 12 → 9
Hou: I'm not done yet. Garga. Strike him down.
Garga: (Attacks) Right!!!
Garga goes up and moves his two legs, and gallops forward like a horse. As he wields his lance and moves, he's like a knight on his steed charging forward to battle. The lance is being held straight and sharp.
Freeza Horus: Protect the prince.
Magma Horus: Yes.
The two Egyptian gods fly forward to stop him, but Garga just rushes past them like the wind, moving them to the side while leaving them in shock.
Garga: DO NOT INTERFERE.
Alexandre Ankh: I cast. Frozen Circulation.
A wave of Icicles appears and strikes back, blocking Garga from entering. The prince gains 2 life. Now Hou rushes forward, carrying his two sabers behind him with the wind moving his jacket. His eyes are solemn and sharp, and he swings his sabers at his foe.
Alexandre Ankh: (Blocks with his scepter) Cast. Skilled General's Insight. (Destroys item) And I gain 4 life.
Despite that, Hou lands his two sabers.
Alexandre's Life: 15 → 14
Hou: Reshoot. Stand once more.
Reshoot nods and stands. He suddenly glows bright, and suddenly the prince was pinned down by a powerful amount of force!!!
Alexandre Ankh: What?
Alexandre's Life: 14 → 13
Hou: (Moves back) When Reshoot stands for another attack, he deals 1 damage to the opponent. One more time. Attack.
Reshoot attacks again. It hits.
Hou: Garga. Strike.
Garga attacks again.
Alexandre Ankh: I cast. Retainer Shield. (Blocks)
Garga: Drats.
Alexandre Ankh: I won't let you win. I discard one hand card and pay 1 life. If I do, the spell goes back to my hand.
Ion: What??? Then that means Hou's next attack is blocked. And he can't use his Impact!!!
Hou: {unfazed} Oh, yeah?
Hou attacks again. The prince once again cast Retainer Shield and blocks!!!
Alexandre Ankh: (Taunts) You're really stubborn, I give you that.
Hou: Stubborn and Smart. Garga. Reshoot. Now!!!
Garga and Reshoots stand once more while charging up with orange Lightning, and Reshoot creates another powerful force and pins Alexandre down once more.
Alexandre Ankh: Again???
Hou: I'm not myself today. Instead of power and critical, all of my cards...GAIN TRIPLE ATTACK!!!
All: WHAAAT???
Ion: TRIPLE ATTACK??? HOW CAN THIS BE???
Masato: Hold On. This IS really new...
Daryl: Yeah. It isn't the same GBoost at all.
Alexandre Ankh: {Afraid} (Steps back) No...then that means!!!
Garga, Reshoot, and Hou attack once more while charging forth towards the enemy.
Hou: My Secret Weapon. The Nine-Times Barringer Buster!!!
Everyone rushes forward and deals the last few damages to the prince. The latter receives them one by one and thus has 2 life left.
Hou: Final Phase!!! I cast. Deity Gargantua Punisher!!!
Impact Sequence.
Hou: Impact!!! Deity...Gargantua...Punisher!!!!
The prince looks at it with shock as Punisher delivers the final blow. It hit successfully and his flag is destroyed.
Ion: I don't believe it...The Winner is Hou Ren!!!
The crowd cheers loudly. Everyone claps with joy.
Ion: I can't believe what I'm seeing. First, Hou being so cool and all, and then defeats not just the Ace of Legend but also the Top fighter at our school. How is this possible???
Masato: For Share!!!
Daryl: A new GBoost capable of creating 9 attacks? Impressive.
Gwen: Congrats, Hou!!!
Kei stares it all in approval. Meanwhile, the prince, who has fallen and been defeated, stares at what happened in deep shock.
Alexandre Ankh: I lost...
Then, to his surprise, Hou offers him a hand while looking unfazed. Oh, and his jacket is still worn as a cape. Garga is also beside him.
Hou: Need a hand?
The young prince was reluctant, but he accepts it otherwise and gets back up.
Alexandre Ankh: How did you...What are you?
Hou: (smiles) I'm just me. And let's just say...I never give up.
Alexandre Ankh: You...
Masato, Daryl & Gwen: (Approaches them) Hou!!!
Hou: (Looks back) Huh?
Masato: (stops, pants in exhaustion) You're crazy today. Congrats.
Daryl: Let me guess. Professor Menjo, isn't it?
Hou: Sort of. I'm sorry for disappearing. But Garga and I went to Dragon World to train, that's why.
Alexandre Ankh: You what?
Hou: (Turns back) I used my frustration at losing so many times as a springboard to bounce back. And thus here we are with new results.
Alexandre Ankh: I see...(sigh) Alright. Since you and I have fought, I'll (takes out his phone) surrender my points.
Hou: No, keep it.
Alexandre Ankh: Huh?
Hou: I only want to settle the score with you. I didn't say I want your points. If anything, you were the reason Garga evolved.
Alexandre Ankh: {surprised} Me?
Garga: Yes. My Buddy has a wish to surpass you. He fears that if he doesn't, then he'll not be able to surpass anyone else in the future. He respects you greatly, so to speak.
Hou: (surprised, blush in embarrassment) Garga...
Garga: I'm right, aren't I?
Alexandre Ankh: You...(smiles) You know, I also respect you greatly as the Ace of Games. I shouldn't have let my jealousy get the best of me. I apologize for looking down on you and your friends. And I'm sorry for leaking your strategy.
Hou: It's okay. Wanna be friends?
Alexandre Ankh: {surprised, smiles} Sure. Next time, (offer his hand) I won't lose. And you call me "Alec" if you want.
Hou: Sure. (accepts his hand) Anytime, Alec.
A cinematic shot of the two new rivals and friends smiling and shaking hands with one another is shown. Everything slowly fades white, and the story ends.
(And that's it for the first half. It is kind of Temu of the Manga itself, so I did my best again not to fully copy and so on.
