Chapter 67 - 67

The next day, in the Golden Palace of Asgard, Odin's palace.

Odin, the All-Father, sat on his magnificent golden throne, holding the Gungnir, with Queen Frigga by his side.

Odin looked at Thor, who stood below, a surge of thoughts in his mind. Thor had not only regained his powers but had also grown stronger.

He no longer needed Mjolnir to control his divine power freely. This rapid progress had even astonished the well-traveled Odin.

This was somewhat inconsistent with the future Odin had predicted. Odin had once used his powerful divine abilities to foresee future events and learned that Ragnarok was approaching.

Thinking of Ragnarok, Odin recalled Surtur, the Fire Giant. Odin and his two brothers had once gone to kill Surtur to prevent Ragnarok.

However, they discovered that Surtur could not be killed. To delay Ragnarok, Odin and his two brothers stole Surtur's source of power, the Eternal Flame (now stored in Odin's vault).

Odin's brothers, Vili and Ve, volunteered to stay behind and seal off the path to Muspelheim permanently, buying Odin time.

They transferred their power to Odin, creating the Odinforce. Therefore, Odin essentially possessed the power of three Skyfather-level beings.

But Ragnarok would ultimately still descend upon Asgard, unavoidable. This was also why Odin urgently needed Thor to mature, as Odin was old, and his aging body could no longer withstand his ever-increasing divine power. Odin was also nearing his death.

But now, the future had unexpectedly changed. Even someone as powerful as Odin could no longer glimpse a single shred of the future. This both alarmed Odin and gave him a glimmer of hope… "Thor, how have you made such immense progress?"

The changes in the future had exceeded Odin's expectations, and he couldn't help but ask Thor this question. He wanted to know what had altered Thor's future path. This also concerned the fate of all Asgard.

"Father, I believe it's because of a human from Midgard. When I had lost my powers and was distraught, he taught me that divine power is not bestowed by others but is something one possesses intrinsically."

"He even showed me how to control divine power, but unfortunately, at that time, I couldn't do what he did, no matter how hard I tried. Not until later, when the Destroyer appeared…"

Facing his father's inquiry, Thor, of course, did not hide anything and recounted Li Yue's situation in full, even truthfully telling Odin about Li Yue's ability to control lightning power.

"A Midgard mortal who can control lightning?"

Odin fell into thought. This was the first time he had encountered such a situation. However, Odin suddenly remembered that he had once sensed someone breaking through the enchantment he had placed on Mjolnir. He thought this person must be him.

"The one who can ignore my enchantment and lift Mjolnir must be a person with a righteous heart and noble character!"

Odin had already mentally categorized Li Yue, whom he had never met, as a righteous individual, simply because Odin was overly confident.

"To entrust the future fate of Asgard to a human with a righteous heart is not too bad!"

He didn't believe Li Yue possessed strength surpassing his own, and if he didn't surpass him in strength but could lift Mjolnir, then he could only be someone Mjolnir recognized.

Even the Sorcerer Supreme of Midgard, the Ancient One, could not surpass him in strength and forcibly lift Mjolnir. So, Odin's thoughts were understandable.

However, Odin couldn't have known that Li Yue's ability to lift Mjolnir was entirely a trick… "Father, he is currently a guest in Asgard. Would you like to meet him?"

Thor, below,

saw his father on the throne lost in thought, silent for a long time, and couldn't help but ask softly!

"Oh? He's in Asgard now? Did he come here with you via the Bifrost?"

Upon hearing that the human was currently in Asgard, Odin immediately released his divine sense, carrying immense power. Invisible waves of divine sense swept across all of Asgard.

...

...

Li Yue hadn't slept last night; instead, his soul had left his body and floated above the bed, cultivating. And indeed, cultivating in Asgard, the speed of absorbing energy was much faster than on Earth.

Now, the third star in his mind was fully lit. As long as Li Yue wished, he could instantly travel to the next world.

This was the benefit of Li Yue learning how to control his own energy. He could now freely control his ability to traverse, and no longer would inexplicable traversals occur.

However, Li Yue hadn't finished his business in Asgard yet, so he wasn't in a hurry to go to the next world. Moreover, Li Yue didn't know what kind of world the next one would be, so it was better to be more prepared… Not long after Li Yue woke up, the Three Warriors of Asgard—Volstagg, Fandral, and Hogun—came looking for him. One moment they wanted to take him to drink and eat meat, the next they wanted to spar with him.

This left Li Yue physically and mentally exhausted. He finally managed to get rid of the three of them, wanting to continue cultivating in his room for a while. But just as his soul left his body, and he sat cross-legged, preparing to cultivate, he felt a jolt of alarm and hastily returned his soul to his physical body.

And just as his soul returned to his body, Li Yue felt an incredibly vast surge of divine power sweep over him. This power contained an aura of royalty, making it impossible for anyone to even think of resisting.

"This aura, only the All-Father Odin, the King of Gods, could possess such majesty!"

Li Yue secretly breathed a sigh of relief in his heart. Fortunately, this aura was only for reconnaissance and did not contain any attacking power.

Li Yue once again personally experienced Odin's power, truly worthy of being the Lord of the Nine Realms, a Skyfather-level being.

Li Yue had a premonition that Odin already knew he was in Asgard and believed that he would soon be summoned to meet him… Sure enough, a few minutes later, a palace guard knocked on Li Yue's door, saying that King Odin requested his presence. The guard's attitude towards Li Yue was very respectful.

Li Yue did not refuse and motioned for the guard to lead the way.

Following the guard to Odin's palace, Li Yue looked at the murals on the palace ceiling, which depicted scenes of Odin's conquests across the Nine Realms. However, Li Yue knew that Odin had hidden many truths from others, such as the existence of his eldest daughter, Hela… As Li Yue marveled at the grandeur and majesty of the Golden Palace, he arrived at Odin's palace. The guard stopped and indicated for Li Yue to enter by himself.

"Thank you!"

Li Yue walked straight in. Although it was his first time meeting Odin, Li Yue didn't feel afraid. He was confident that he could escape before Odin could make a move against him.

At worst, he would just initiate the next traversal. He truly didn't believe Odin could cross different universes to kill him.

Of course, Li Yue was more inclined to believe that Odin wouldn't move against him; otherwise, he wouldn't have come to meet Odin… "Young man Li Yue, greetings to the All-Father! Greetings to the All-Mother!"

As Li Yue entered the great hall, the first person he saw was Thor, standing to one side, grinning foolishly at him.

Then he saw Odin and Queen Frigga seated on the thrones in the palace. He stepped forward, cupped his hands, and bowed. Li Yue was still quite respectful towards powerful individuals.
