Loki, far away in Asgard, watched as the Destroyer was knocked down by Thor, who had awakened his divine power, and a thoughtful smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.
"Just as I thought! Father truly values you!"
Clever as Loki was, he had long seen Odin's intentions. Stripping Thor of his divine power, exiling him from Asgard, and banishing him to Earth—it was all a meticulously designed plan for Thor's growth.
And he, himself, was merely an expendable part of that plan, wasn't he?
Loki sighed softly. He had sent the Destroyer to Earth to help Thor regain his thunder god powers, but what he hadn't anticipated was that someone on Earth could withstand the Destroyer armor for a period of time, which caught him off guard.
Loki had always thought that if Thor was severely injured, he would regain his divine power. However, with those people obstructing him, he couldn't go and injure Thor. If he used an energy attack, Thor's mortal body might not be able to withstand it.
Fortunately, for some unknown reason, Thor inexplicably regained his divine power, and judging by the lightning swirling around him, it was more than just regaining his powers.
Odin had another primary goal: to let Thor understand that war does not bring peace, but only casualties and endless slaughter.
"But, Father, I believe I can do better. In the name of Loki, the second son of Odin, King of the Gods of Asgard, I will end this millennia-long war forever."
Thinking of this, Loki no longer delayed. He went directly to the Bifrost, used the Casket of Ancient Winters, a Frost Giant artifact, to freeze Heimdall, who guarded the Bifrost, and then used the Bifrost to bring the Frost Giant King to Asgard.
Everything was according to Loki's plan. Laufey, the Frost Giant King, did not suspect Loki's intentions and went directly to Odin's sleeping chamber, defeating the guarding sentinels and Odin's wife, Queen Frigga.
"I heard that even in your slumber, you can sense your surroundings. I hope it's true! Then you will know that the one who kills you is I, Laufey, King of the Frost Giants!"
No matter the villain, they always want to say a few words after gaining an absolute advantage to show their power.
And often, this is the moment when the villain is counter-killed by the protagonist. Laufey was no different, he was so busy taunting Odin on the bed, but unfortunately, he didn't know that behind him, Loki, holding the Gungnir, had already aimed the spearhead at him.
When Laufey finally thought it was time to act, Loki's movements were faster. A beam of light shot from the tip of the Gungnir towards Laufey, sending him flying.
"And the one who kills you is Odin's son, Loki!"
Loki thrust his spear again, and Laufey, who was lying on the ground, was instantly shattered into pieces. This was Loki personally killing his own biological father, demonstrating to Odin with his actions that no matter his origin, he would always be a part of Asgard.
"Loki, you saved your father, Odin."
Upon seeing this, Queen Frigga, who had been pretending to be knocked down, immediately stood up and shouted to Loki with surprise, then ran over and gave Loki a hug.
That's right, Frigga was faking it. As Odin's wife, the moment she saw the 'fat Thor' in Avengers: Endgame, she immediately discerned that he was from the future. How could such a clever Frigga not see Loki's intentions? She was merely playing along with her son.
Frigga knew all too well that Odin treated Thor and Loki differently, but she couldn't dictate to Odin. She understood that Odin had his own reasons, so she could only give Loki more love when he was a child, which is why Loki respected his mother so much... Meanwhile, back on the Bifrost, the frozen Heimdall heard Thor's call. In his anxiety, he used all his strength to break free from the icy shackles, and with a few sword strokes, killed the two Frost Giants guarding him.
He arrived at the Bifrost control panel, inserted his sword,
and activated the Bifrost.
...
On Earth, Thor was pleasantly surprised to find that Heimdall had finally responded.
"Jane, wait for me, I will definitely come back for you!"
"I'll be waiting for you, Thor!"
After feeding everyone a mouthful of dog food, Thor and the Asgardian Four turned and walked directly into the Bifrost's light beam, disappearing, leaving only a strange symbol on the ground.
Watching Thor disappear before her eyes, Jane felt a sense of loss. She had a bad feeling.
"Tony, you guys go back first. I'm going to Asgard for a look around! Don't worry!"
After watching Thor disappear, Li Yue turned to Tony and said, then vanished completely!
"Take me with you! I want to go too... Holy crap, he's so fast."
Tony reacted and shouted at Li Yue. He also really wanted to see what the legendary realm of Asgard was like, but Li Yue's figure was no longer in his spot.
Tony was helpless. Li Yue's superpower was a bit abnormal; he was truly envious. Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, he saw the fragments of the Destroyer armor scattered on the ground, shattered by Thor, and his eyes lit up.
"These are mine, you don't mind, do you!"
Tony said domineeringly, but his gaze was mainly directed at Coulson!
"No... of course not, these metals should belong to Iron Man!"
Coulson had just entertained the thought of refusing when he suddenly remembered what had happened at Tony's villa yesterday. He immediately changed his tune, handing over ownership of the metals to Tony.
He had just learned that most of the agents he worked with were actually Hydra members, and perhaps even at this very moment, there were Hydra moles present. It was better to entrust these special metals from Asgard to Tony for safekeeping, at least they wouldn't fall into Hydra's hands.
"Hello, Mr. Iron Man, could I please get your autograph? Oh, and Captain America too!"
While Tony was happily collecting the metal fragments on the ground, Daisy suddenly stepped forward and timidly spoke to Tony and Captain America... Meanwhile, Li Yue, who had disappeared from Earth, appeared directly on the Bifrost in Asgard.
Li Yue found that Asgard was largely similar to what was depicted in the movies, but it was much larger than what the movies showed. The Bifrost was dozens of meters wide, and Li Yue couldn't even see its full length with his naked eyes. As for Asgard's territory, Li Yue couldn't see its end at all.
As Li Yue was looking around, a man at the bridgehead saw Li Yue, his face filled with disbelief. His eyes were somewhat different from ordinary people's.
Heimdall was very shocked. Who was this person who suddenly appeared on the Bifrost, looking curious and gazing around? How did he get to Asgard? Why couldn't his eyes discern how he appeared?
However, as the gatekeeper of Asgard, Heimdall was very diligent and responsible. Upon discovering an intruder, he would not stand by idly.
Heimdall's sword was still needed to activate the Bifrost and couldn't be drawn, so he charged directly at Li Yue with his bare hands, clenching his right fist and leaping high into the air. His goal was to knock down this person who dared to invade Asgard with a single punch.
"Heimdall, stop, he's one of us!"
Just as Heimdall's fist was about to strike Li Yue, a familiar voice, filled with urgency, suddenly came from behind.
Although Heimdall heard the shout and wanted to stop his attack, his body in mid-air had no leverage, and he couldn't stop the momentum of his attack. He could only hope that Li Yue was tough enough not to be killed by his punch.
Li Yue, of course, wouldn't be hit by such a slow attack. He disappeared directly in front of Heimdall, which shocked Heimdall immensely, and then he was a bit dumbfounded, because he found his face getting closer and closer to the ground.
"Thor, your Bifrost is a bit slow!"
Li Yue appeared in front of Thor and complained to him.
Thump!
"Ouch!!!"
