Chapter 49 - 49

Oh, right, Tony, didn't you already solve your palladium poisoning? Why are you still handing over control of the company to Pepper?"

Li Yue was a little curious. In the movie, Tony knew he didn't have much time left, so he wanted to leave the company to Pepper and even gave a set of Iron Man armor to his friend Rhode.

But now that his palladium poisoning was resolved, why was he still doing this? Li Yue couldn't quite understand.

"Li Yue, why can't I hand over the company to Pepper just because my palladium poisoning is solved? Is there a connection between the two?"

Tony heard Li Yue's question and asked back curiously. He didn't know what the relationship between these two things was.

"Uh, so your decision is truly what you want?"

"Of course. After all this time, I've realized I don't want to deal with the company's trivial matters. I just want to focus on researching my Iron Man armor and doing what a superhero should do."

"And Pepper is the best person to manage the company. She has always been my first choice. First, I don't have to worry about her betraying me. Second, she's much more skilled at managing the company than I am. So, handing over the company to Pepper is my truest desire, without any other factors involved."

Listening to Tony's sincere words, Li Yue understood a little. Tony genuinely didn't want to waste time on company affairs but instead wanted to save time for developing new armor.

"Tony, didn't you always want to show me how amazing your latest armor is? Isn't now the perfect time? Come on, take me to see your latest creation."

Li Yue changed the subject and said to Tony.

"You're right! I've always wanted to show you my latest creation but never had the chance. There's no time to lose, I'll take you to see my latest armor right now. I guarantee it will open your eyes!"

When he mentioned this, Tony's face was full of pride. He couldn't wait to take Li Yue to the underground lab. As for Happy, he had already slunk out after being taken down by Natasha's 'Scissor Kick of Death' earlier. He was afraid Tony would laugh him to death if he stayed...

Before long, Tony led Li Yue to the underground lab. In the most conspicuous spot, Tony's past armor prototypes were displayed.

The first one on the left was the somewhat clunky Mark I, which helped Tony escape the cave. This was a replica Tony had built later.

Next were the red and gold Mark II, Mark III, and Mark IV. These sets of armor didn't differ much; Tony had simply improved some flaws in the armor or upgraded the weapon systems.

The subsequent Mark V was different. This was Tony's first portable armor. Before being worn, it was only the size of a briefcase. Its advantage was its lightness, allowing for quick donning without the aid of J.A.R.V.I.S.'s robotic arms.

However, its drawbacks were also obvious. As an armor meant for emergencies and self-preservation, it used lighter alloy materials, making it less resistant to damage. It also didn't carry firearms, only the repulsor rays could be used, and most crucially, it couldn't fly.

From the Mark VI onwards, Tony's Arc Reactor became a new type of reactor powered by a new element, and the light on the armor's chest changed from circular to triangular.

Of course, Tony enthusiastically explained all of this to Li Yue.

"The armors before were just appetizers. Now, let me properly introduce you to my latest model, the Mark VII."

Tony now sounded like a glib madam trying to entice customers.

Li Yue couldn't interrupt him, so he could only pretend to listen carefully as Tony described how powerful his armor was.

Li Yue couldn't help but think to himself: "I've seen the Mark 85, so why would I care about these primitive models of yours?"

Of course, Li Yue wouldn't say that out loud.

Tony finally finished his endless description of the Mark VII's various advanced weapons.

"Next,

is the Mark VII's most revolutionary feature: the laser-guided tracking quick deployment system. It doesn't require any external mechanical assistance to deploy and don."

"As long as J.A.R.V.I.S. is commanded to activate, and then the encrypted information on the metal bracelet worn by the user is scanned to confirm user identity and activate the armor deployment program, the armor can be quickly donned."

"J.A.R.V.I.S., prepare to don the Mark VII armor."

After speaking, Tony directly showed the bracelets on his hands and demonstrated to Li Yue how to quickly don the Mark VII.

It had to be said that Tony was indeed a genius. After Li Yue's interference, Tony's armor update speed was even faster than in the movie, having already developed the armor used during the Battle of New York in Avengers 1 at this point.

Tony, now in his armor, wouldn't just take it off without doing anything. He immediately flew out of the villa right before Li Yue's eyes, soaring into the distance.

On the villa roof, Li Yue watched Tony's figure rapidly fly away after breaking the sound barrier and creating a sonic boom cloud. He felt a bit envious. Although he had the ability to go wherever he wanted, he had never experienced high-speed flight until now.

Li Yue also wanted to own a set of armor. Of course, he couldn't be bothered with Tony's current bulky armors. What Li Yue liked most was the nano-armor Tony would develop in the future.

While the nano-armor lacked some of the mechanical metal feel when worn, it was undeniably cool and handsome, convenient to carry, and incredibly powerful. It could even go head-to-head with Thanos, who possessed the Power Stone, and successfully land the first blow...

As Li Yue was thinking this, Tony had already flown a round and returned.

"How was it? This armor is very powerful, isn't it?"

After taking off the armor, Tony asked Li Yue smugly.

"And I'm thinking, I could split the armor into several modules, each with a flight system. That way, they could fly directly to me from a distance to be worn. What do you think of this idea?"

Tony expressed his idea, hoping to see a surprised look on Li Yue's face.

Unfortunately, Li Yue's face remained calm, without much surprise, which annoyed Tony.

"Tony, I think nanotechnology is your future! I've admired the armor enough, I'm heading back now. Bye, Tony!"

After Li Yue finished speaking, he disappeared directly in front of Tony, leaving Tony stunned in place after hearing Li Yue's words.

He thought about the hint Li Yue gave him—nanotechnology. That's right, with nanotechnology, there would be no need for such a cumbersome process to don the armor. Nanomolecules could form a full-body armor in a few seconds and freely transform and combine weapons.

"Li Yue must have seen it in the future. His dumb brain is definitely not that smart; how could he come up with such a perfect idea? He must have plagiarized my future armor technology!"

Knowing Li Yue's situation, Tony didn't believe such a good idea came from Li Yue. It could only be something Li Yue saw in a future glimpse and brought up to strike at him.

"J.A.R.V.I.S., create a new file, name it 'Nano Armor Development,' and store it on my private server. No one is allowed to access it without my permission."

"Purchase some theories and technological achievements in nanotechnology, and compile a set of nanotechnology material. I want to learn from scratch."

Tony instructed J.A.R.V.I.S., imagining the results of applying nanotechnology to Iron Man armor. He was already eager to start researching nanomaterials.

"Also, find out about scientists who are researching in the field of nanotechnology and have made achievements. Contact them and hire them for Stark Industries with high salaries. Money is not an issue."

Tony added magnanimously.
