It's been a day since Rudy and I talked about his past. After our conversation, I regretted what I said, but I can't change the past now. After I dropped him off, I decided that I was probably going to get something to eat, so I stopped at a diner near Rudy's school. While I was ordering my drinks, I heard a voice I never want to hear again: "Nevaeh here," I told myself with complete disappointment and disgust, because I knew that if she saw me, she would want to sit with me and talk about random nonsense about her and her boyfriend. Still, I stayed calm and waited for my food to arrive. While sitting at my booth, I looked up and noticed that she was with her family. I initially felt relieved, but then I realized they were about to sit at the table directly in front of me. After I finished eating, I asked the server for the check, and she went to retrieve it. While I was preparing my things, I heard a voice say, "Excuse me, sir. Do you have a moment?" When I look up, my heart races, and my mind goes completely blank. I can't believe it—Nevaeh Dad is the one who just asked me! Panic sets in as I realize how important this moment is, and I can barely catch my breath. Because I knew he would probably talk about the breakup me and her had, I replied, "Yes, sir, I have some time to talk." After I said that, he looked at me very closely, then said, "Hey, I know you, you're Ethan and Emy's adopted son Emmanuel, right?"
"Uh, yes, sir, I am," I replied. I was so confused because ever since Nevaeh and I dated, she had never introduced me to her parents, especially her dad. After I took a seat and asked how he knew my name, he replied, "Well, I knew your name long before you ever met my daughter. But moving on, I'm glad I could start here. There's something I'd like to tell you."
"Sure, what is it?" I replied.
Then he said, "I know your real parents, Mr. Villalobos, and I can share their location with you. I know what you're thinking about right now, but no worry, I will fill you in on the information that my wife and I will fill you in on, but for now, my daughter Nevaeh should not be hearing the conversation that we are about to have due to the mistake she made in the past."

"Well, my wife knew you the first time you came to that adoption center up in Texas, and when she found out that you and your foster parents were moving to Ruidoso, Its was good because we were moving here aswell then when that my daugther was dated you it made my wife happy that you were doing ok but years later we found out that a boy by the name of Rudy Villalobos was in a foster center in las cruses so when we check his record we found out that he was related to you and your parents so i called Ethan and Emy to see if they can adopt him and they did so Emmanuel, Rudy is your biolagical brother and your parents live in El paso right now."
