Gideon's expression turned cold. He had already crushed Landon once and believed the man would never dare to stand before him again. Yet here he was.
'Looks like he hasn't learned his lesson,' Gideon thought darkly. 'If he dares to get close to Summer again, I won't let him walk away this time.'
"Landon?" Summer stepped closer, clearly surprised. She hadn't expected to see him here—let alone with Danica. "What are you doing here? And…" her eyes briefly shifted to Danica, "you know her?"
Landon avoided her question. "It's been for a while. How have you been?"
Summer frowned at his response, displeased that he brushed her off. She grabbed his arm and pulled him aside. "Why are you with Danica?" she asked in a low voice. "Do you even know what kind of person she is?"
"I don't really know her well," Landon replied. "I've run into her a few times at my current workplace. She invited me to come with her tonight. When I heard you'd be here, I agreed. I wanted to see you."
