At the penthouse, the two washed up and settled at the dinner table around 8pm.
Bri mostly pushed her food around, already full from the snacks that William had delivered to her at their evening training.
William, on the other hand, was quite hungry, and he ate quietly and slowly, a serious look on his face.
At first they ate in silence, with William occasionally staring at Bri, knowing she wasn't really eating, but on kept him company. Finally, he spoke.
"We were to discuss something when we got home, about your career," he began carefully, "I don't know what you think, bit I have a suggestion for you, but I want you to know, you don't have to say yes."
Bri put her fork down immediately; he now had her full attention.
William continued, slow and calm.
"I know you love StarLink, because of Anna, and because your manager and collegues have been good to you. And it's not a bad company. But…" he took a breath, wanting to be as clear as possible.
