Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Mourning (2)

"Mom, you said you'd leave us alone to play!" Lana complained with a pout.

"Sorry, I just heard some noise and came out to check," Laura said, still adjusting her clothes as she walked toward the kitchen. "Do you kids want any snacks? Clark, you always love my cookies, right?"

"Yeah, I do," I replied with a smile.

"No, I'll get it for him, Mom—you don't have to!" Lana said quickly, rushing after her.

Before long, the four of us were sprawled in the living room watching cartoons and munching on cookies, though Selina got bored fast—as usual—and suggested we play a game instead. Eventually, we settled on her favorite: hide-and-seek.

In fact we always played at Lana's house for a reason—it was easily the biggest among us, with a huge backyard and plenty of hiding spots. From what I had gathered, Lana's late grandmother had once owned a good portion of farmland in Smallville before selling it all to LuthorCorp when they began expanding operations here. The deal had made the Lang family rich—very rich.

So rich, in fact, that Laura's current husband, Lewis, had married into the family. He now ran an insurance firm in Metropolis and only came home once a month, leaving Laura… well, let's just say lonely, both emotionally and sexually.

Honestly, I couldn't understand it. How could anyone leave a gorgeous, kind, and wealthy redhead behind to bury himself in work? Maybe the quiet Smallville life really wasn't for everyone. Metropolis was the "city of tomorrow," after all.

Not that I'd gone digging for gossip—super-hearing and nosy neighbors made gathering information way too easy.

Why was all this important, though? Why was I spending my weekend playing hide-and-seek when I could be training—trying to finally master flight or frost breath, the two abilities still giving me trouble?

Simple. The answer was right in front of me.

Chloe had somehow convinced Laura to join our game, and now she was hiding behind a curtain, thinking she was invisible. Unfortunately for her, X-ray vision made me the ultimate seeker.

"Found you," I announced, yanking the curtain aside and pulling her into a tight hug, shoving my face straight into her plush tits. My hands wasted no time, sliding down to grab her thick ass cheeks, kneading them hard through her jeans.

"Ah, Clark! I lost, alright? You can stop... Ah!" Laura gasped, her face turning red as she tried to squirm away, but my fingers dug deeper into her firm buns, massaging them roughly while I nuzzled and shook my head between her soft mounds, motorboating her cleavage.

Why wasn't she freaking out more? Simple—this wasn't our first rodeo. Sure, I hadn't groped her this boldly before, but I had copped feels plenty of times, and over the months, she had gotten used to my wandering hands. Hell, she had to feel my rock-hard cock pressing against her thigh right now, throbbing insistently in my pants.

And why the hell was I doing this? Because Laura was my prime target from the start. Back in my old life, I remember that I was a horny kid, locking myself in my room for hours jerking off to busty porn stars with massive racks.

But in this new life? I wasn't just horny—I was super horny! That too almost all the time!

Blame the Kryptonian genes. Add in my X-ray vision and super hearing, and I'm bombarded nonstop with glimpses of naked bodies and the sounds of people fucking all over the city at night. It doesn't help that I'm surrounded by two Martha's who are smoking-hot Milfs!

How the original Superman managed this without losing control, I'll never know. Maybe he didn't practice or even know about his powers until later, so they developed more gradually? Or perhaps that boy scout mentality helped him keep his urges in check.

The only thing that ever truly calmed me was meditating under the sunlight.

But I couldn't exactly spend the whole day sitting in the middle of the farm, doing nothing else — no matter how tempting that peace felt.

Anyway, I wasn't about to suffer blue balls forever—using my hand got old very fast. So I drew up a list of potential women who could scratch this itch. I weighed a bunch of options before zeroing in on Laura. This hot redhead was just as pent-up and frustrated as I was, practically begging for it under that prim exterior.

Plus, I still remembered sucking down her warm, sweet milk straight from her swollen tits when I was a baby, sharing those feeds with Lana. Ma couldn't exactly lactate with me being adopted and all, so whenever Laura babysat, I would latch on and guzzle that creamy treat. Weirdly that experience was one of the things that made her top my list… maybe there was some Homelander in me afterall?

"Why is this part so hard?" I asked with wide, feigned innocence, nipping at her stiff nipple through her thin blouse, teeth grazing the peaked bud.

"Ah... Clark... that—Ah!" Laura whimpered, bracing against the wall with her eyes squeezed shut, her arms wrapping around my body to pull me closer as her body trembled.

Every time I did this, there was a slight worry in the back of my mind that this plan might backfire, and Laura could complain to Ma or, worse, stop letting Lana see me. That was why I had been approaching it patiently, one step at a time, reminding myself that this could become a long-term solution, so it was best to take it slowly and do it as per the plan.

Just as I felt her hand in my hair, I decided that was enough for now and pulled back from the hug.

"I should go find the others now—I don't want to lose, after all," I said with a small smile.

"Clark, you…" Laura started, her face flushed and her breath unsteady, but before she could finish, the landline rang sharply from the kitchen. She pressed a hand to her forehead, flustered, and hurried off to answer it.

I had a smirk on my face as I stepped towards the backyard. It was probably best if I let Lana win this round—otherwise, Selina would just start yelling that I had cheated again.

Then I froze.

Laura's voice—shocked, trembling—cut through the air.

"No… that can't be… we just talked yesterday!"

I focused my hearing instinctively. On the other end, a calm, official male voice was speaking. Police.

A pit formed in my stomach as I walked toward the backyard. I found Lana crouched behind a tree, her face lighting up when she saw me—until she noticed my expression.

"Your mom's crying," I said quietly.

Moments later, Lana rushed inside. "Mom, what happened? Why are you crying?"

Laura knelt down, tears streaking her face. "Sweetheart… that was the police from Metropolis. Your father… he's been in an accident."

Lana went silent, frozen. Laura pulled her close, both of them shaking. All I could do was stand beside both of them and keep them company.

-----

"Laura, why are you even crying for a man like him?" Nell said sharply, her voice edged with disdain.

"Please, Nell… just for today," Laura whispered, wiping at her tears with a napkin. "Let me cry… just for today."

Nell crossed her arms, muttering, "I can't believe you even arranged a funeral for that cheater."

Laura sniffed, glancing at Lana. "Not in front of her, please."

Nell sighed and forced a smile. "Clark, could you take Lana outside for a bit?"

I nodded to the hot redhead and took Lana—who had been silently crying in my arms since the funeral—to the backyard.

Nell was Laura's younger sister, which made her Lana's aunt. Her house was right next door, and she owned a flower shop in town. She prided herself on being a self-made woman and had turned down plenty of suitors over the years, convinced they were only interested in her money—the same inheritance her late mother had divided equally between both sisters.

From the start, she had been against Laura's marriage to Lewis, calling him a male gold digger. Still, despite her sharp tongue, Nell genuinely loved Lana. So when she was bad-mouthing Laura's late husband just hours after the funeral, it wasn't pure spite.

Because the truth was far uglier.

In the crash that killed Lewis, there had been another survivor—a woman who claimed to be his girlfriend. They'd apparently been living together in a house Lewis had bought for her. She had no idea he was already married, with a daughter. Everything—the car, the house, even his so-called insurance firm—had been paid for with Laura's money.

When Laura discovered all of this in Metropolis, she had been completely shattered. Nell had been with her, and together they decided to keep the truth quiet, afraid of the gossip it would cause. Of course, my super-hearing had filled me in on every word of it. But I had no interest in spreading something that would only hurt them more.

"Why… sniff… why did this happen, Clark? Why him? What did he do wrong? Why did God take him?" Lana asked, her green eyes swollen and red with tears.

I sighed softly. There were a few reasons I could think of, but none I could ever tell her. Her mother had decided to keep the truth hidden, and I wouldn't be the one to shatter her illusion.

A part of me felt a twinge of guilt—I hadn't even focused on marking her father. Maybe if I had, I could have done something? But even then, I doubted I was fast enough yet to reach Metropolis in time to stop an accident that quickly. For all I knew, my "marking" didn't even extend that far.

So I had made peace with it. That there was nothing that could have been done. Especially after learning that Lewis had been cheating on a woman like Laura—beautiful, kind, and loyal. The guy had been speeding, and so had the other driver. In the end, both were at fault.

The only thing that truly hurt was seeing the cheerful girl Lana so broken down. I felt quite powerless, not knowing what I could do to stop her from crying.

"Shh... Everything will be alright," I kept murmuring while holding her in my arms, gently caressing her back.

"Sniff... How do you know that? Sniff, Dad was alright too, and then he's gone now... God is unfair, taking away whoever He chooses... Sniff, what if the same thing happens to Mom or to you? I-I can't—I—" She muttered, looking at me while crying even louder.

"Listen to me, Lana. Nothing—and I mean nothing—could happen to me," I said, looking into her eyes with conviction. "And I promise that I won't let anything happen to you or your mom too!" It was a promise to both her and to myself, a vow from the future Superman.

Her crying stopped as she looked at me blankly. Did she sense my firm will, my unshakable confidence? I was already quite close to being invin—My thoughts were cut short as I saw her pulling herself up, closing her eyes, and bringing her lips close to mine.

I could see that her face was a mess of snot and tears. I could only smile wryly as I took a napkin from my pocket, hurriedly cleaned her mouth and face, and then, before she could react, leaned in to press my lips against hers.

I could hear her rapid heartbeat, see her tense expression, and realized she didn't know what to do next. Well, even I had no experience in this, but I knew this was the moment where boys should take the initiative. So I placed my hands on her face and slowly started nibbling at her lips, tasting each one gently.

As I kept softly exploring her, her breathing grew quicker, and she began to imitate me. We were both quite new at this, so we just held each other close and continued gently pressing at each other's lips.

Soon she opened her green eyes, and I opened mine. We looked at each other and parted our lips, though I still kept my hands holding her face.

"We... we... kissed," she said, her face turning red. I could hear her heart pounding in her chest.

"Yes... it was my first kiss," I admitted, looking at her with a smile.

"It was my first too," she muttered shyly, looking down.

"I liked it a lot... What about you?" I asked curiously.

"M-me too..." She whispered in a small voice.

"I want to do it one more time," I said, lifting her chin.

She didn't say anything and just closed her eyes. I leaned in to kiss her again—

"Clark, Ma and Pa have brought dinner. Come inside and bring Lana," Selina shouted, coming into the backyard.

Lana looked absolutely mortified, opening her eyes, but I told her to relax—we were behind the tree, out of everyone's sight.

But she still insisted on going back, which meant I didn't get to kiss her again. However, I was a patient boy, so I offered to stay at their house tonight to keep Lana company.

And even with Selina and Chloe agreeing to do the same, I still found time to be alone with her and taste those lips again. I kind of knew she was too emotional right now to make fully rational choices, but when she asked me to become her boyfriend, I didn't even hesitate to agree.

Thus, Lana Lang became my first girlfriend in both my lives!
