Chapter 455 - Sleep

"Seth, are you truly not shocked by this scene?" Gabriel Angelos' fingers trembled as he watched the unfolding events.

In the gladiatorial cage, two towering figures were clashing, hammers, swords, and shields colliding, but the Astartes surrounding them couldn't see clearly, only hearing continuous crashing sounds.

Lion El'Jonson was battling the beautiful silver-haired figure, who was a clone of the Primarch Fulgrim.

Two Primarchs were dueling with their superhuman physiques, a dazzling battle that left the Astartes utterly bewildered.

Meanwhile, in another gladiatorial cage next to them, an Ultramarine shrouded in shadow was facing off against a Battle Sister covered in burns.

The two gazed at each other, their dark, lidless eyes and faintly burning golden eyes seemingly reflecting the future, a future that was constantly changing with their predictions.

"They've been standing there for twenty minutes," Gabriel Angelos said, speechless.

The Ultramarine was the former Captain of the Ultramarines' Second Company, Captain of the Saint Doraemon Battle Group Ultramarines Company, Konrad Curze's Midnight Chosen, Titus.

And the Battle Sister claimed to be a dual Chosen of Saint Doraemon and the Emperor, an ordinary Battle Sister named Reyna.

It was said that both possessed the ability to foresee the future, which was why their confrontation had become such an eerie standoff.

Lion El'Jonson, the clone Primarch Fulgrim, the Midnight Chosen Ultramarine Titus, and the dual Chosen of the Emperor and Saint Doraemon, Reyna. Were there perhaps too many divine beings on this ship?

"You arrived too late. A few decades earlier, you could have seen the Primaris-enchanted Khorne-doraemon-Emperor's triple Chosen, Khârn, and Tzeentch's Chosen, Ahriman," Seth said softly.

With the return of Saint Doraemon, a summons had been issued to the former Saint Doraemon Battle Group, and those warriors who had once traveled on the Light Lord were now gathering aboard the Red Tears.

Seth watched the clone Primarch Fulgrim clashing with the Lion. He couldn't help but recall the Phoenix Son Chapter and the Primaris Astartes Sol, who claimed to be a son of Dorn.

Sol must have also received the summons, but given the current situation, he likely wouldn't arrive before the Red Tears reached Corinal, the Crimson Angel's homeworld. He wondered what Sol's expression would be when he saw the clone Primarch Fulgrim.

Corinal. Thinking of the Crimson Angel's homeworld, Seth involuntarily coughed up a mouthful of hot blood. He felt the fury in his chest intensifying, no doubt due to the influence of the so-called Red Angel.

In the previous war council, Saint Doraemon had explained the full story to the high-ranking officers of the various Blood Angels successor Chapters.

Everything originated from the Crimson Angel Chapter.

Many years ago, Seth's impression of the Crimson Angel Chapter was that they were paragons of Sanguinius' sons, often envying their low rates of Black Rage and Bloodthirst.

But later, during the Battle of Baal, Seth and the other sons of Sanguinius learned the truth.

The Crimson Angels used a blasphemous, secret dark ritual to suppress their Black Rage and Bloodthirst.

The Crimson Angels called this ritual the Ritual of Repentance. They performed it every fifty years. In this ritual, they drained the blood of a portion of their homeworld's population, collecting it into a blood pool.

Then, they would sacrifice a Blood Priest, injecting the Blood Priest's blood into the pool as well, finally drinking the blood and making the remaining blood into blood-food to sustain them in battles for the next fifty years.

The darkest part of this ritual was that the Blood Priest's body circulated the blood of Sanguinius. No matter how the Ritual of Repentance was concealed, its essence was to extract the blood of Sanguinius, using Sanguinius' blood as food to satisfy their crimson hunger.

Many years before the Battle of Baal, Dante discovered this dark ritual, but the then-Chapter Master of the Crimson Angel Chapter, Chaud, declared that if the Blood Angels interfered with their Ritual of Repentance, the Crimson Angels would expose the secret of the Black Rage and Bloodthirst, letting the entire galaxy know of the Blood Angels' flaw.

This forced Dante to endure it, merely severing all ties with the Crimson Angels.

According to Captain Finnie, who, during the Battle of Baal, disobeyed his Chapter Master's orders and brought his company to support Baal: Chaud was now dead, and his successor as Chapter Master was named Kurduis Mol.

However, Mol not only failed to correct Chaud's error but intensified the Ritual of Repentance.

And Saint Doraemon revealed the true nature of the Ritual of Repentance.

The essence of this ritual was a scheme of the Blood God. The ritual pointed to the daemon Red Angel, who was born ten thousand years ago from the Khorne artifact, the fury of khorne, nurtured by the rage of the Blood Angels.

Each time the Ritual of Repentance was performed, it was to cause the Crimson Angels to fall further towards the Red Angel, nourishing the Red Angel.

And now Tzeentch had joined this conspiracy.

The Lord of Change sought to cultivate the Red Angel, to have him completely replace Sanguinius and become the Primarch of the Blood Angels.

Seth clenched his fists slightly. This blasphemous Warp entity dared to do such a thing.

"Gabriel Angelos, Saint Doraemon and Sanguinius require your presence." Just then, a voice rang out, interrupting Gabriel Seth's thoughts.

A Custodian entered from the training room door, calling out from the entrance.

The Custodian was Shield-Captain Valerian, who had accompanied Saint Doraemon.

When Seth heard the name Gabriel, he initially thought he was being called, but listening closely, it was for the Chapter Master of the Blood Ravens next to him.

"Me?" Gabriel Angelos was startled, pointing a finger at himself, a little confused.

He was just an unremarkable Blood Ravens Chapter Master. Why would Saint Doraemon and the Primarch summon him?

Although Gabriel Angelos felt perplexed, he did not refuse the summons, following the Custodian to meet Saint Doraemon and the Primarch Sanguinius.

"In your twenty thousand-plus simulations, will there be real danger on Corinal?"

Sanguinius stood at the edge of the bridge, looking out at the distant stars alongside Alexander.

"In twenty thousand simulations, I reached Corinal approximately sixteen thousand times, and among those, I encountered real trouble about sixteen hundred times."

"In those sixteen hundred-plus times, Perturabo, in his struggle with the Void Dragon shard released by the Blood Ravens, successfully contained the Void Dragon shard and injected it into an Iron Circle robot."

"That Void Dragon shard is somewhat troublesome, and could even cause some danger... But no matter what, Corinal and the Red Angel are just a tool to buy time."

"The Blood God may hold hope, but the Lord of Change is merely using him to conceal his true scheme. The Lord of Change knows very well that even if we do nothing, the Red Angel may not succeed in corrupting you."

"If the Red Angel succeeds, Tzeentch will naturally be happy to gain a Primarch for free. If the Red Angel fails, it can also help Tzeentch hide his true scheme."

Speaking of Tzeentch's true scheme, Alexander's mind couldn't help but recall some scenes from the twenty-two thousand two hundred twenty-two dreams he had experienced.

Suddenly shattered Mars, the unsealed Dragon of Mars, the Blackstone Fortress that the Silent King and Illuminor Szeras helped build and which suddenly reversed its polarity—

The emergence of these memories caused Alexander's face to twitch a few times.

Indeed, Tzeentch should not be underestimated. In his dreams, Alexander had been thwarted by Tzeentch's schemes more than anyone else.

He spent hundreds of dreams finding all of Tzeentch's hidden pieces, and thousands more finding ways to make Tzeentch's scheme fail.

At this moment, Nobita, under Alexander's control, was also traversing the galaxy, searching for the pieces that could help Alexander dismantle Tzeentch's scheme.

As for the Red Angel before them, Alexander had his own method for a quick resolution.

Just then, the bridge's main door slowly opened. Led by Custodian Shield-Captain Valerian, the Blood Ravens Chapter Master Gabriel Angelos and the Blood Angels Sixth Company warrior Rafen entered the bridge.

Alexander turned to look at the two men, one claiming to be a son of Sanguinius and the other truly being a son of Sanguinius.

Gabriel Angelos looked at Rafen with some curiosity. He didn't know much about this Blood Angel and didn't understand why Saint Doraemon would summon both of them simultaneously.

"Gabriel, I need your Blood Ravens to utilize your unique skills."

Alexander didn't waste words and went straight to the point:

"I need you to infiltrate Corinal with your elites and steal something."

Gabriel Angelos instinctively wanted to deny that the Blood Ravens were good at stealing things.

How could a loyal act be called stealing? It was called salvaging precious holy relics for reuse.

But after seeing Saint Doraemon's expression, for some reason, Gabriel Angelos felt it was best not to object.

He lowered his head, listening intently as Saint Doraemon described the appearance and location of the item to be stolen, the areas they needed to pass through, and how to plan their route and the Crimson Angels' defenses.

The more he listened, the more astonished Gabriel Angelos became. Saint Doraemon was incredibly knowledgeable about the situation on Corinal, and the plan for stealing the artifact was so ingenious that it filled Gabriel Angelos with admiration.

He hadn't expected Saint Doraemon to possess such profound mastery in the art of holy relic reclamation. For a moment, Gabriel even entertained a somewhat outlandish guess: Could Saint Doraemon actually be their gene-father?

"..Rafen." Alexander then looked at Rafen, the warrior of the Sixth Company.

Rafen's gene-seed came from Apothecary Meros, who, ten thousand years ago, had taken Sanguinius' place, entering the Khorne artifact, the fury of khorne, and becoming the vessel for the Red Angel.

"I need you to get some sleep."
