Chapter 403 - Others

Finally!

Kossolax exclaimed from the bottom of his heart.

He was finally satisfied.

Just think about the enemies he had faced since acquiring the Conqueror: Angron, Erebus, Khârn, Sarojin, Saint Doraemon... What kind of monsters were these?!

He had finally received orders to hunt the Fallen Angels and Luther, but Luther was as slippery as an eel, running faster than the White Scars on motorcycles.

All this time, the Conqueror had been unable to find an opportunity to be deployed, failing to demonstrate its strength as a Primarch-class vessel.

Finally, now that it was up against this group of Fallen Angels, the Conqueror's terrifying might finally erupted, wreaking havoc among these cruisers and battle barges, ravaging the Fallen Angels' ships.

Kossolax couldn't help but feel satisfied; such a war was worthy of him, the Regent of the World Eaters.

Especially since the Abyss-class Battleship Blessed Lady was controlled by the great power of Saint Doraemon, and the Light Lord was merely an Emperor-class Battleship, not comparable to the Gloriana-class, Kossolax and the Conqueror became the most glorious presences on the battlefield for a time.

After all, it was impossible for a ship even larger and more powerful than the Conqueror to suddenly appear, right?

It couldn't be, could it?

Suddenly, the view from the Conqueror's bridge viewport darkened.

The light from the system's star was suddenly blocked.

Kossolax's smile stiffened slightly.

A tremor unlike anything Kossolax had ever witnessed emanated from the Warp; Psyker tides rippled through the system, and reality shrieked in agony.

A magnificent colossal ship pierced through the veil of reality, aggressively forcing its way into the system.

It was less a colossal ship and more a jagged, pitch-black monolith, larger than a typical asteroid, shaped like an ancient secret tower from legends, its surface covered in deep fissures and chaotic mountainous terrain, upon which stood numerous Gothic spires, fortresses, and countless Void Shields, with flickering, lightning-like force fields swirling around it. The thickness of its Void Shield was even more exaggerated than that of the Conqueror.

The Rock, the flagship and Fortress-Monastery of the Dark Angels Chapter, had arrived in this system.

This fortress was the remnant of Caliban, reconstructed from its fragments, and was one of the most powerful colossal ships in the entire galaxy, comparable only to vessels of the Phalanx's caliber.

In the deepest chamber of the Fortress-Monastery, Azrael, the Chapter Master and Supreme Grand Master, gazed at the auspex readings with an almost icy stare.

His fingers gripped the blade named 'The Secret' tightly, his expression as dark as death itself, a hidden, cold fury concealed beneath his features.

"Asmodai, report!" Azrael said in a low voice.

Asmodai, the Master of Repentance, standing beside him, displayed his anger much more openly.

The auspex clearly marked the Fallen Angels' ships—because these bastards actually used the same identification codes as the Dark Angels.

They even extensively painted the old Dark Angels Legion markings on their ships, which was an immense insult!!

"Traitors! Shameless!" After reporting the auspex readings, Asmodai said hatefully, "Erebus is clearly here too!"

"The intelligence we received has been confirmed!"

Azrael said with a voice that was cold and laced with fury:

"Erebus has allied with the Fallen Angels!"

"Allied!!!" Asmodai said through gritted teeth.

"Luther is very likely involved as well!!" Azrael clutched the Sword of Secrets in his hand.

"Luther!! The leader of the Fallen Angels!!" Asmodai spat.

"The intelligence also mentioned they have a videotape!" Azrael growled.

"A videotape?!" Asmodai yelled, raising his voice.

"A videotape about the Fall of Caliban!!" Azrael's fury was now uncontrollable.

"The Fall of Caliban!!! The Secret!!!" Asmodai shouted with a booming voice.

"What should we do?"

"Make them repent!" Asmodai roared, "Protect our Secret!!"

Looking at the two men filled with anger, Ezekiel, the Chief Librarian and Keeper of the Keys, scrutinized them with an indifferent gaze.

As the most powerful psyker of the Dark Angels Chapter since the Great Crusade, Ezekiel was considered to be on par with Mephiston and Tigurius.

Mephiston was skilled in combat, Tigurius in prophecy, and Ezekiel excelled at seeing into the minds of others; no secret could hide from Ezekiel's eyes.

His Psyker power now permeated the entire system, silently sweeping across it.

Then Ezekiel fell silent for a moment; he had perceived the presence of various factions in the system.

"My Lord, there are others in the system," Ezekiel said to Azrael.

"Others?!" Asmodai roared.

Azrael, as Chapter Master, was much calmer; he looked at Ezekiel placidly and said, "Handle it the same way as before. Make them disappear."

"The Chapter's secret must not be revealed; only the Chapter is everything."

"The secret must not be revealed!!!" Asmodai echoed.

"Shut up!!" Ezekiel felt annoyed, and a low growl accompanied by Psyker energy emanated, causing Asmodai to instantly feel lightheaded and then find himself unable to open his mouth.

In Ezekiel's view, Asmodai was clearly stimulated by the excessively high concentration of Fallen Angels in the system, making him a bit deranged—though he was usually somewhat deranged, it was better to calm him down now.

Azrael did not comment on Ezekiel's actions, merely staring at Ezekiel, seemingly asking what he had discovered.

"There are quite a few people in this system, and the composition of the people is a bit complex..." Ezekiel hesitated before saying.

"The Chapter's secret is above all else. Many people are not a problem, nor is a complex composition of people. Tell me the situation in the system," Azrael said coldly.

"Besides the Fallen Angels, there are also the Word Bearers."

"Erebus' dogs, give them the Lion's wrath, kill all the traitors."

"There's also the Conqueror, the World Eaters."

"The Blood God's dogs? Are the traitors fighting amongst themselves? Isn't it the Dark Angels' duty to punish them?"

"There are also the Loyalists, the Ultramarines."

"Unfortunately, the Chapter's secret cannot be revealed. We must be discreet so as not to arouse Guilliman's suspicion."

"Besides the Ultramarines, there are also the Blood Angels; their First Captain, Karlaen, is also present."

"..The Blood Angels. Even Dante and Sanguinius cannot know our secret."

"..In addition, there are the Raven Guard, Emperor's Children, Cadian Shock Troopers, Adeptus Mechanicus, and a strong reaction similar to the Night Lords. I also detected the aura of numerous Tzeentch Great Unclean Ones, Khorne Chosen Khârn, and the Khorne daemon Prince Seed of Destruction, and the first daemon Prince Be'lakor is also within the system."

"..Huh?" Azrael's eyes were a bit blank.

"The Blood God himself seems to be watching this system; I can feel the boundless rage of the Blood God."

"I also vaguely sensed the presence of the Emperor himself on that colossal vessel."

Ezekiel was silent for a moment before saying:

"And the Emperor-class Battleship standing in the center of the system is the Light Lord, the flagship of the former Solar Lord Macarius."

"According to reliable intelligence, this ship now belongs to what the Adeptus Mechanicus call original power... Saint Doraemon."

"My Lord, do we really want to make them 'disappear'?" Ezekiel asked softly.

".." Azrael fell silent, rubbing his forehead: "...This system is indeed a bit complicated, huh."

Erebus listened to Luther's words, dumbfounded.

He understood what Luther had done.

Luther believed that collecting Fallen Angels by himself was too slow, inefficient, and risky, so he found a helper.

Who else in this galaxy was most skilled at collecting Fallen Angels?

Of course, it was the Rock!

Luther secretly sent all the coordinates of the Fallen Angels he sensed to the Dark Angels Chapter, using Azrael to help him capture the Fallen Angels.

According to Luther's calculations, the number of Fallen Angels he had collected, plus the newly arrested Fallen Angels in the Rock and the old Fallen Angels, should now roughly meet Erebus' requirements.

Moreover, the Rock itself was also one of the fragments of Caliban, and the largest fragment at that, also part of the ouroboros, and just like the Fallen Angels, it could also be used to piece together the ouroboros.

So Luther also sent Erebus' coordinates to the Dark Angels Chapter, claiming that Erebus was collaborating with the Fallen Angels. To provoke the Dark Angels, he even fabricated that Erebus had a videotape of the Fall of Caliban, which indeed attracted the Rock.

And plagueheart was also brought by Luther, and the Tuqiaocha Engine was also within the Rock.

The three divine artifacts of the old ones were all in this system, only waiting for Erebus to cast the spell to assemble them.

Erebus was dumbfounded; he hadn't expected Luther to gather the three divine artifacts of the old ones in such a way.

Now, Erebus only needed to solve the riddle of the last door, be able to leave the Blessed Lady, and then he could cast the spell to combine the three divine artifacts of the old ones.

Erebus didn't think this would be difficult at all.

Luther and Be'lakor were both first-tier combatants below the Primarchs, subtly capable of rivaling a Primarch.

And their opponent was only Nobita, although he was also a near-Primarch level combatant.

But two against one, plus him, the Hand of Fate, ha! How could they lose???

Could a Primarch just appear out of nowhere?

Joking, Sanguinius was currently occupied, Guilliman was far away in the Imperium Sanctus, who could come to save them??

Hahahaha! Could a missing Primarch suddenly return!!!

In the Warp, Tzeentch stretched his sore arms, staring at Erebus' fate with a grim expression.

After his beating, the misfortune entwined around Erebus' fate had not only not weakened but had grown stronger, now on the verge of a complete eruption.
