Chapter 217 - Warmaster

"Since the Aeldari God of Death doesn't want to kill you, can I do it?"

A voice suddenly echoed in the Warp, startling Calgar, but he couldn't find the source of the sound.

Just then, Captain Karlaen of the Blood Angels swung his Baal's Wrath, clashing with Calgar.

The holy warhammer from Baal and the Ultramarines' holy power fist collided.

Even wearing Superman Gloves, Captain Karlaen was slightly inferior in strength, his attack blocked by Calgar's fists.

While this was partly because Captain Karlaen hadn't fully unleashed the power of the Superman Gloves to use his weapon, it still showed how powerful the Chapter Master of the Ultramarines' fists were.

"Blood Angels!"

Calgar let out a low growl, his Ultramarines' Fists crackling as the bolters within them began to unleash fire upon Captain Karlaen.

The Take-copter on Captain Karlaen's head moved sharply, lifting his body into the air, and the unleashed bolter rounds only struck his heavy Terminator Power Armor.

"Why are you involved?" Calgar growled, asking.

Karlaen barely blocked Calgar's rapidly pursuing fist.

"For hope," Karlaen replied. "We were enlightened to let a brother of Sanguinius walk upon the earth again."

Upon hearing this, a vein bulged on Calgar's forehead.

"What would you choose if it were you? Would you let two blasphemous Aeldari defile the corpse of your Primarch?" Calgar sternly demanded.

Karlaen's expression twisted slightly; he indeed couldn't say yes.

"But you have other choices. Let that, let Saint Doraemon grant Guilliman death and bring him back?"

"Doraemon? What the hell is that?!"

Calgar roared, his fist slamming heavily into Captain Karlaen's chest.

The Power Armor on the First Captain's chest immediately caved in.

"It is hope," Karlaen insisted, gritting his teeth.

At the same time, the elite of the Ultramarines' First Company and the Grey Knights' Third Brotherhood swiftly launched an attack into the Expeditionary Force.

Grand Master Voldus of the Third Brotherhood almost pounced on Archmagos Belisarius Cawl, swinging his warhammer.

But Tigurius flashed, suddenly blocking Voldus.

The Chief Librarian of the Ultramarines and the most respected Grand Master of the Grey Knights' Third Brotherhood clashed.

Their Psyker confrontation stirred up a storm and vortex of the immaterial universe within the Shrine.

Tigurius' Psyker power was clearly stronger, but he didn't truly want to kill Grand Master Voldus.

Grand Master Voldus, however, attacked without restraint, each strike carrying a deadly danger, and the unique Psyker energy swirling from his daemonhammer suppressed Tigurius' Psyker talent.

Celestine descended from the sky, her wings trembling, her silver longsword clashing with Grand Master Voldus' daemonhammer.

She tried to help Tigurius.

However, the Third Brotherhood were the custodians of the Grey Knights' Exorcism Ritual; they were familiar with six hundred and sixty-six words of banishment, capable of suppressing or even expelling all Warp entities.

Ten Grey Knights raised their holy relics, roaring the words of banishment from Janus, the first Grand Master of the Grey Knights.

Celestine almost immediately let out a wail; the transcendent light on her body was suppressed, and she fell heavily to the ground.

Soon, more Grey Knights joined the chanting of the words.

In an instant, even the light bursting from Tigurius' eyes was suppressed by the six hundred and sixty-six words of banishment chanted by the Grey Knights.

The power within these words of banishment even made Yvraine gasp.

She hadn't expected humans to possess such powerful Warp knowledge.

Only Alexander knew that these six hundred and sixty-six words were written by Janus, the first Grand Master of the Grey Knights.

That Grand Master was a fusion of the loyalist Revenor Aviden and a fragment of Magnus' personality; his knowledge and power were contained within the Exorcism Ritual he wrote.

These exorcism words were precisely why they were so powerful, becoming one of the Grey Knights' relies to contend against all Warp entities.

Yvraine seized the moment of chaos, almost turning into an afterimage, attempting to rush towards Roboute Guilliman on the throne.

However, the First Company's Terminator elites never relaxed their defense; they formed a solid wall, blocking Yvraine's path.

At the same time, the Grey Knights also exerted their powerful Psyker abilities, combining with a series of complex exorcism incantations, forming a thick Psyker shield that completely protected Roboute Guilliman's body.

"Your Excellency."

Belisarius Cawl always stood at the center of the storm, but he didn't seem anxious, instead calmly asking Alexander, who wore the Blind Spot Star beside him:

"Malcador's relic is stronger than imagined. Is your power limited? How should we accomplish our mission?"

Alexander felt it slightly; the power released from the Grey Knights' words indeed weakened the power Alexander drew from the Warp's triple domains to some extent.

He felt the surrounding the machine spirit become somewhat weaker, the efficiency of death providing him power also decreased significantly, and his appetite was noticeably smaller.

"Malcador's relic?" Alexander couldn't help but smile. "Perhaps it's Magnus' relic, who knows."

The origin of the Grey Knights' gene-seed has always been a mystery, but Magnus has always been a strong contender among their potential fathers.

But Alexander was not anxious; he could feel it.

He could feel some kind of machinery approaching outside the Shrine, and he could feel the Hera Fortress' Void Shield shatter.

A scorching explosion, like a fiery meteor hitting the ground, sounded.

The entire ceiling of Guilliman's Shrine collapsed with a crash from the impact, marble, glass, gems, and mosaics raining down like hail.

The roaring sound of towering marble pillars crumbling overshadowed the sounds of battle, shattered crystal, metal, and glass splattered, embedding into the surrounding walls, armor, and ground.

A giant blue metal object, burning with flames, crashed into the Shrine from the sky, blazing with fierce fire.

It was a land raider with Ultramarines' livery!

The land raider fell, heavily smashing towards the throne where Roboute Guilliman was located.

The Grey Knights guarding the throne roared, supporting a Psyker barrier, using almost all their strength to fling the massive object, which had crashed into the Shrine, to the side.

But the ensuing tremor also interrupted their chanting, causing the shield covering Roboute Guilliman's throne to shatter with a crash.

The burning land raider was heavily pushed aside by the Grey Knights, crashing into a marble pillar, shattering a carving depicting the battle between Guilliman and Alpharius in a cataclysmic roar, and the ensuing explosion directly tore apart half of the Shrine's wall.

At the same time, terrifying screams descended from the sky.

A flock of Black Legion Raptors descended from the sky; their black, gold, and blue intertwined Power Armor turned into shadows in the setting sun, rushing into the Shrine aided by their spiky jump packs.

The Ultramarines' Terminators swiftly unleashed fire at the airborne enemies, bolters spewing at those offspring of Konrad Curze.

However, the Raptors were much faster than the Ultramarines; even though most died in the air, three Raptors still shrieked and roared as they landed on the ground.

They carried a hideous and terrifying blasphemous beacon, covered in grotesque twisted metal spikes, blood, and distorted flesh, with faint roars of daemons audible.

The beacon was instantly plunged into the Shrine's floor, and a purple and black flare exploded in the Warp, illuminating almost the entire Shrine.

Ripples spread through the Warp, and the Grey Knights, attempting to re-establish the Psyker shield, let out a low wail.

An array of dozens of Black Legion Terminators instantly appeared in the Shrine; the Chaos Sorcerers among them chanted blasphemous incantations, and the Warp instantly became active, the blasphemous beacon growing like flesh, opening like a gateway, and more Black Legion poured into this once sacred hall.

Even beneath the veil of reality, the roars of daemons were faintly discernible.

The Ultramarines' discipline and order quickly allowed them to reform their formation, changing their objective to swiftly fend off the continuous attacks of the Black Legion.

The Grey Knights, meanwhile, focused more of their minds on resisting the threats beneath the veil of reality, unable to re-establish the Warp barrier.

For a time, the pressure on the Expeditionary Force lessened considerably.

Belisarius Cawl, Yvraine, and Thousand Faces, the red-armored warrior, all watched this scene with surprise.

Because from Alexander's tone just now, he seemed to have expected this.

Was this the Warp Gods' manipulation of fate?

"Unspeakable loyalty! Oh, Warmaster!"

Only Alexander laughed heartily, shouting loudly at the Black Legion:

"Abaddon! uncle understands you! Truly loyal people may not necessarily be the loyalist legions!"

"When the galaxy is at peace, uncle will certainly clear your name!"

In the original timeline, it was also this land raider that crashed into Guilliman's Shrine, and the Black Legion intervened at just the right moment, allowing the Expeditionary Force to seize the opportunity to resurrect Guilliman.

In the timeline where Alexander intervened, it was still like this.

Alexander absolutely didn't believe that the Chaos Gods had no involvement in Guilliman's resurrection.

Thinking this, Alexander silently drew the Black Sword he had snatched back from Abaddon from his four-dimensional pocket.

Belisarius Cawl also immediately began to act; the troop carrier behind him hummed lowly, and he rushed quickly with it towards the throne where Roboute Guilliman was located.

Yvraine had intended to help Belisarius Cawl clear a path.

However, just then, a cold, gloomy voice suddenly sounded in her ear:

"The 'Human God of Death'!"

"He must not be allowed to kill Him! Stop Him!!!"
