Chapter 11 - C 11

Uchiha Kazuto; a perfectly orthodox villager of Konoha had never caused trouble.

Until recently, he was nothing more than a nameless member of the Uchiha clan, one who hadn't even awakened his Sharingan.

Though he served in the Police Force, he mostly did odd jobs , a true background figure, easy to overlook.

He was unmarried, clocked in and out on time every day, never worked overtime, didn't smoke or drink, and carried no bad habits.

Each night he ended his day with a warm glass of milk before bed and started every morning without an ounce of fatigue.

He lived quietly, never quarreled with anyone, and embodied the image of a model Konoha citizen.

But who would have thought that beneath this façade of normalcy, Uchiha Kazuto hid such depth and such cunning?

Had he not uncovered the secret dealings between Uchiha Fugaku and Shimura Danzo, the so-called Uchiha coup could have turned Konoha into chaos.

And with Kazuto's latent abilities in play, the outcome would have been catastrophic.

"Danzo… why did it have to come to this?"

Sarutobi Hiruzen slowly lowered the report in his hands. His weary eyes grew distant, his thoughts drifting to a younger time when he and Danzo had stood side by side, sharing the same ideals.

When had things changed? When had friendship turned to bitterness? When had Danzo's envy twisted into hatred so deep that he would turn against the very man he once called comrade?

Meanwhile, Uchiha Kazuto led a detachment of the Police Force toward the Root's underground base.

When they arrived, Root operatives were already setting fire to documents and destroying evidence in a frenzy.

"Stop right there! Danzo is dead! Do you still plan to resist?"

Kazuto's voice was sharp, commanding.

At his signal, the guards surged forward, suppressing the Root members with overwhelming force.

The clash was swift and brutal. Within minutes, the once-secret organization was in ruins, its operatives either dead, wounded, or captured.

"Hahaha… look at this. These are treasures!"

Kazuto crouched beside a stack of scrolls and files, his eyes glinting as he read through them. Human experiment data, Danzo's hidden plots, forbidden ninjutsu scrolls, and rare biological materials, Hashirama's cells, Sharingan samples, and more.

It was as if an entirely new Konoha could be rebuilt from this vault of forbidden knowledge.

By the time he and his men were done, the Root base had been stripped bare. Not even a single nail remained untouched.

When the Anbu arrived, the Police Force met them at the entrance and politely refused them entry.

"I've finally done it," Kazuto muttered to himself later in the Uchiha compound. "I've become the head of the Uchiha clan. Now… it's time to write a new order."

He leaned back in his chair, eyes gleaming with cold satisfaction. Every step he had taken , every move and every scheme was for this very position.

The leader of the Uchiha. Commander of the Guard. The man in charge of both the clan and the law.

Only from this seat could he truly wield authority and with authority came something far more precious: power.

"Now… let's see," he murmured thoughtfully, "what laws should I establish for the Uchiha clan?"

His eyes glowed faintly. His unique ocular ability required him to be the official ruler of an organization, someone with the legal and moral right to dictate rules.

Once that condition was met, his eye could activate its true function: to convert authority into strength.

The laws he made had no inherent restrictions. In theory, he could create any law he wanted. But only enforceable laws granted him real feedback.

A rule that could not be applied was meaningless; it brought no power. True strength came only from laws that shaped behavior and carried real consequences.

The greater the law's impact on his people and the heavier the punishment for breaking it, the more potent the energy that flowed back to him.

While Kazuto was contemplating the laws of his new rule, Uchiha Itachi finally heard the rumors spreading through the village and his heart sank.

This wasn't an external coup. It was a family coup.

His father, the once proud clan leader had been stripped of his title and branded a traitor.

The story being told was that Uchiha Fugaku had conspired with Danzo to seize power, but Itachi refused to believe it. None of it made sense.

'How could Father do such a thing?'

'And why didn't I hear about this earlier? Something's wrong… terribly wrong.'

Driven by unease, Itachi went straight to the Hokage. But the answers he received only deepened his suspicion. Something about Kazuto's sudden rise didn't add up.

Without wasting another moment, he rushed back to the clan's compound.

"Uchiha Kazuto! What in the world is going on here!?"

Kazuto looked up from his desk, brows furrowing. "Who are you? Who allowed you to barge in?"

"I'm Uchiha Itachi," came the cold reply. "And I'm asking you , what is your scheme?"

Itachi's tone carried no trace of the respect once due to a clan head. Despite the situation, he spoke as though he were still the heir of the Uchiha, his piercing eyes fixed on Kazuto.

Kazuto's gaze darkened. "You should mind your tongue, Uchiha Itachi. I am the clan leader now. How dare you, the son of a branded traitor speak to me in that tone? Guards! Remove this insolent fool!"

At his command, several Uchiha guards entered the room, bowing.

"Apologies, Patriarch," they said respectfully, before turning toward Itachi, ready to seize him.

Once, he had been the prodigy of the clan, the young heir everyone admired.

Now, he was merely the son of a traitor, a man stripped of status, tolerated only because of his service to the village.

Kazuto watched as Itachi stepped back, evading their grasp with effortless grace.

A faint smirk touched the new patriarch's lips.

"What is it, Uchiha Itachi?" Kazuto taunted, stepping forward, his chakra flaring with menace. "Do you intend to attack me…the clan leader? Do you still think you are the young master of the Uchiha clan?"

The air between them crackled with tension, the old heir and the new ruler, face to face.

And for the first time, Itachi realized, the Uchiha clan he once knew no longer existed.
