"Who are you trying to kill?"
A cold, arrogant voice cut through the air. Everyone looked up to see Auguro slowly approaching from the back. His Soul King's Haori billowed without wind, exuding immense pressure.
"Ohoho! Is the Lord Soul King of the Holy Spirit Empire about to face a Celestial Dragon? This is huge news!"
The two reporters immediately channeled Morgans, incessantly snapping photos of Auguro.
A CP0 agent stepped forward and addressed Auguro. "Lord Auguro! We have no intention of making you our enemy! Saint Kryngdorn was merely emotional, and his gun went off accidentally! We will leave now!"
The reporters and Bege collectively drew a sharp breath. Those were Celestial Dragons and CP0! The privileged class that had rampaged for 800 years! In the past, whenever they encountered someone who offended them, they simply killed them! Who could ever make them explain themselves?
Yet, they were witnessing it now!
The CP0 agent was inwardly screaming. They wished they could just kill the opponent and end it! If they could, they would probably receive the highest honor from the Five Elders the next day! But the problem was, they couldn't! The woman alone, who was comparable to a Marine Admiral, was enough to sweep away every CP0 agent present!
A knowing smile appeared on Auguro's face.
"I might consider letting you go!"
Hearing this, the CP0 agent was overjoyed, thinking there was still a chance for de-escalation. However, Auguro's very next sentence made his heart plummet again.
Auguro pointed at the nearby reporters.
"As long as these two Celestial Dragons apologize to the captured slaves in front of the reporters, and promise never to purchase slaves again, I will let you leave safely!"
The CP0 agent was utterly stunned. Make a Celestial Dragon apologize? Are you insane! The Celestial Dragons were the face of the World Government, beings considered divine! If they apologized, the divinity of the Celestial Dragons and the prestige of the World Government would suffer the most severe blow! They absolutely could not bear this responsibility!
The CP0 agent offered a nervous laugh. "Lord Auguro, can we perhaps offer an alternative? We can give those slaves ample compensation, ensuring they are financially secure for life!"
Auguro smiled, slowly and firmly shaking his head.
Alright! The last thread of hope is officially cut!
"You lowlife! How dare you demand an apology from me! Kill him immediately!" Kryngdorn was completely unaware of the severity of the situation, still arrogantly ordering the CP0 to kill Auguro and his crew!
Ancestors, please think before you speak! If we could kill them, why would we have waited until now?
Wait, he's a Celestial Dragon?
Never mind! Those fools have no brains anyway.
Baskandal also roared, "You useless good-for-nothings! You can't even handle this small matter! Call the Marine Admiral immediately!"
"Tell him to kill all these lowlifes!"
Baskandal's demand gave the CP0 agent a valuable hint. If they couldn't handle it, they should call for backup!
One of the agents immediately subtly pressed the hidden Den Den Mushi on his person. The emergency distress signal instantly propagated. Marine Headquarters, being nearby, would soon receive the message. If they could just stall for a little longer, a Marine Admiral would arrive!
Auguro frowned slightly. His magnetic control allowed him to precisely detect the distress signal. If he wanted to, he could even erase the signal entirely!
However, Auguro ultimately did nothing. Since he was here to clear out the slave traders, the bigger the disturbance, the better. The bigger the ruckus, the fewer people would dare to attempt this trade in the future.
Thus, Auguro simply stood there, quietly waiting for the Marine Admiral to show up. The CP0 agents couldn't have been happier. Once the Admiral arrived, their mission would be complete!
The scene instantly fell into a bizarre silence.
Meanwhile, Soi Fon and the others dragged the terror-stricken auction house owner backstage and killed the slave-catching crew waiting for their commissions. They intercepted the people who had purchased slaves.
Those who resisted were killed on the spot; those who didn't had their arms and legs broken before being thrown out.
They weren't killed entirely, as they needed to be left alive to warn others: do not touch the slave trade! Whoever touches it dies!
While they waited, Auguro suddenly turned his head.
"Capone Bege!"
Bege was startled. He replied in a deep voice, "What is it?"
Auguro said, "Just a friendly warning! A Marine Admiral should be arriving soon! Staying here with your current strength is not wise!"
Bege's lips twitched. Thank you very much! Why not just tell me I'm too weak to be here!
Though annoyed, Bege was sensible. Neither a Marine Admiral nor the man before him, Sith Auguro, was someone a Supernova could handle. Having been warned, Bege rose to leave.
Auguro added, "I will have someone contact you later. I believe we have some things we can cooperate on!"
Bege was puzzled. Had he and Auguro ever crossed paths? But the situation was urgent. Bege had no choice but to push his questions aside, nodding. "Fine, we can discuss it later!"
Auguro nodded in satisfaction. While he said "cooperate," his real intention was to recruit Bege!
The West Blue! Nicknamed the Strongest Sea, it was overrun by the Mafia. Bege was the head of one of the five major families. If Auguro could bring him and his family under his command, it would be the perfect starting point for both arms sales and territorial expansion in the West Blue!
Just then, Soi Fon returned with the rescued slaves. Most chose to return home after thanking them. Only the dethroned princess had nowhere to go and begged Auguro to take her in. Auguro told her to wait at the hotel where he was staying.
The instant the unnecessary people departed, a beam of golden light pierced the ceiling of the auction house. The light slowly coalesced into a human shape, and a lazy voice drifted down.
"Oh dear! How terrifying! It's actually you all!"
A face filled with a lecherous, lazy air appeared before them. Marine Admiral, Kizaru!
"It's him, alright!"
Auguro understood. This was the fastest person in the Marines, so he was the most suitable choice for a rescue mission.
Kizaru looked at Auguro and the others, feeling a wave of frustration. Why didn't Fleet Admiral Sengoku tell me I'd be facing another Admiral-level powerhouse? He subtly glanced at Soi Fon, his body not daring to relax for a second.
"Ooh, ooh! Admiral! Hurry and kill these bastards! They dared to offend me!" Kryngdorn jumped up again upon seeing Kizaru.
Kizaru quietly rolled his eyes. Kill them? Setting aside whether he could, if he did, he would face retaliation from at least two Admiral-level powerhouses!
You Celestial Dragons have the Five Elders to cover your backs, but we Marines can't handle that kind of hassle!
What to do? Kizaru turned his clever little mind to the problem.
