Nonna Anita's POV
My body stilled when Zion called that name, the Red Tusks Mafia. Did I just provoke the attack of my baby, Elena?
"Are you okay?" Charles whispered from beside me.
I nodded because I didn't know if any word could come out of my mouth. Guilt enveloped me and I felt like I couldn't breathe.
"Yes, I'm fine. I'm just shocked."
Charles didn't seem convinced but he let it be. Zion looked uncomfortable. "That's all I have for now, boss. I'm yet to find out why they attacked her my initial thoughts was just a random guess."
"Alright, keep digging and tell me what you find." Charles dismissed him.
"Let's go to my office, Anita. We need to talk." He pulled me by the arm gently and we walked to his office.
My heart was beating so fast in anxiety but I kept the mask I was used to keeping to hide how I really felt.
When we got to his door he twisted it open and I stepped inside. He followed after me and closed the door.
