Chapter 1 - Prologue Part 1

In Antarctica there was a base with the sole purpose to save humanity from destruction. They would do this by Ray-shifting into the past. What is Ray-shifting you may ask. ray-shifting is the prosses of breaking down the body and soul into spiritron and then reforming in a different part of time. This was the Organization for the Preservation of Human Order, Finis Chaldea Chaldea security organization. The current director is Marisbury Animusphere. The current head of The Animusphere family, the lord of the department of Astromancy and one of the 13 lords of the clocktower.

'The clocktower is based in London is where all sorts of magi come together to further research their magecraft. There are all sorts of Magecraft from using jewels as a medium such as the Tohsaka and Edelfelt families, Astromancy like the Animusphere and Woodime families. Alchemy like the Einzburn family. Each have their unique uses and most originate from the age of gods. A period where gods still roamed the earth and mana was far more abundant and mystery was everywhere.'

'The clock tower has twelve departments, Lore, General Fundamentals, Individual Fundamentals, Spirit Evocation, Minerology, Zoology, Botany, Astromancy, Creation, Curses, Archaeology, Modern Magecraft Theory. There are three main factions in the clock tower; The Aristocratic Faction, The Democratic Faction and The Neutral Faction. Each faction believed that the clock tower should be ran in different ways, The Aristocratic faction believe that only families of exceptional bloodlines the leading family is the Barthomeloi faction supported by the Animusphere faction. The Democratic faction believe talent should take precedence over bloodlines, the leading family is the Trambelio faction supported by the Edelfelt faction. The Neutral faction don't care and simply wish to study in peace, the leading family is Meluastrea faction supported by the Brishisan faction.'

'Mages are put into one of the seven ranks: Frame, Count, Cause, Festival, Pride, Brand and Grand. The only person who is outside of these rankings are those with true magic such as the wizard marshal, Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg.'

'Families while often carry on their lineage through magic crests which is the prosses of removing their magic circuits onto another. this can only be done to a relative with blood ties to that mage otherwise the recipient would be poisoned by the incompatible magic circuits. The older the family the stronger the crest.'

'There are types of unique eyes possessed by magi known as 'Mystic Eyes'. These effects go from anywhere a simple binding to the most well known Mystic eyes of prettification possessed by the Greek hero killer Medusa/Gorgon. Mystic eyes are split into the five ranks of noble colour: Ruby, Sapphire, Golden, Jewel and Rainbow. Common types are binding, compulsion, flame and illusion.'

'My mystic eye is of the jewel rank like miss Ophelia's mystic of prolongation. Mister Marisbury has called it Mystic Eye of The Throne. Mister Marisbury says it possess the power to link me to the throne of heroes in which I can 'search' and 'find' tales of heroic figures stored in the throne. We are unsure of how it works though we do have some ideas but are not 100% sure we are going over our theories tomorrow during lesson.'

A boy of about 12 years sat on his bed staring at a book in front of him. He had glistening pale white skin from the shower, his pale blue hair was straight down, he had a pitch black left eye with no iris as it was essentially invisible to the naked eye while his right eye was green with a black iris. He had a slim yet athletic build trained to be able to exert long periods of running rather than physical strength.

Drying himself he thought to how grateful he was to Marisbury for bringing him into the world of mystics. While the world of mystics is riddled with deception and moral depravity and yet it is a fascinating world to be apart of. Marisbury had found the boy in London in a hospital after hearing of a boy with heterochromia, a weak immune system and seemingly a sort of negative reaction when hearing of mythology. Maribury having the day to himself had decided on whim to pay the boy a visit having a suspicion of a possible mystic eyes on a civilian which by mage law had to have been dealt with usually by killing however Marisbury thought that would be a waste if the boy did have a mystic eye.

So when he found out the boy did have mystic eyes and had magic circuits Marisbury took in the boy as an apprentice and a possible master candidate for Chaldea. That had been no more than a month and a half ago and yet the boy had his physical health much better due to having open magic circuits. The boy put on a eyepatch over his left eye drastically reducing the effects of his mystic eyes and mana depletion. Then putting on some more confutable clothes before his door was knocked on.

"I'll be out in a sec," He called out to the person on the other side of the door. He suspected it to be his new friends and members of team A: Ophelia Phamrsolone and Scandinavia Peperoncino. Quickly finishing putting on his shoes and grabbing his ID card he open the door.

Standing outside is a tall man with a highly androgynous and flamboyant look. He is male, but his styling is traditionally feminine. His most distinguishing feature is his hair. It is long, straight, and a vibrant, unnatural pink or magenta colour. It is styled to fall down his back or in a flowing, slightly messy manner. He has striking, large eyes, typically depicted as a piercing gold or light yellow colour. His expression cheerful, knowing, and slightly mocking, always conveying a sense of high confidence and theatricality. His attire heavily features vibrant, warm colours—primarily shades of pink, magenta, purple, and gold. His garments are lavish and detailed. He wearing a flowing, long trench coat or robe that features wide, decorative trim and excessive ornamentation. His clothing includes elements of Indian/South Asian aesthetics, such as detailed patterns, scarves, and gold jewellery. He has multiple pieces of elaborate gold jewellery. This includes ornate rings, necklaces, and sometimes decorative elements woven into his hair or attached to his clothing. He possesses a slender and elegant frame, complementing his dramatic movements and expressive posture. This is Scandinavia Peperoncino.

The girl next to him is relatively tall and slender, with a refined posture that speaks to her upbringing in a noble mage family. Ophelia has long, orange hair that is styled and tied up into a high, side ponytail secured with an orange scrunchie or ribbon. She possesses delicate features and has a calm, reserved, or slightly timid expression. She is wearing the standard Chaldea uniform for female Masters, consisting of the white, high-collared coat over a dark shirt, and a black skirt. The presence of the bandage over her right eye is her most recognizable detail. This is Ophelia Phamrsolone.

"Hello there darling, you look fabulous though you really need to sort out the eye patch it has no artistic design there." Pepe greeted in girlish way of speaking. Pepe was always happy and trying to lighten the mode with those he was with always allowing for more friendly speech.

"Hello Alastair, me and Pepe were wondering if u wanted to go for a drink the café?" Ophelia asked. Ophelia who also wore a mystic eye killer over her right eye to reduce the strain of her mystic eye of prolongation.

"Of course. I would be happy to join." Alastair replied happily. Alastair never truly had friends due to always being made fun of due to his weak body constitution causing him to be sick very often and his heterochromia.

The three made small talk with each other eventually getting to the café and each ordering a hot drink. Sitting at a table at the back the three enjoyed casual conversation. Alastair was enjoying having people who didn't talk to him as if he was anything different than them. Ophelia enjoyed having the ability speak her mind and Pepe enjoyed having others to have a friendly conversation with.

"I just remembered we don't know what your mystic eye is called or what it does Alastair. You don't have to answer if don't want to." Ophelia thought allowed then quickly added a dismissal. Ophelia and Alastair having mystic eyes was public knowledge however only Ophelia's mystic eyes of prolongation was known not Alastair's.

Hearing Ophelia's thoughts caught Pepe's interest turning towards Alastair who seemed to be a mix of happiness and embarrassment opened his mouth to give his friends the information they wanted.

"I don't mind. My mystic eyes have been given the Jewel rank." This shocked Pepe and Ophelia for a second. Alastair was a first generation mage but had been born with a jewel ranked mystic eye the same rank the the Phamrsolone family had been trying to create for several generations only succeeding with Ophelia's mystic eyes.

"They are called the Mystic eyes of The Throne. Mister Marisbury said it grants direct access to the throne of heroes." This shocked the two even further for having a direct access to the throne was nearly unheard of the only beings which direct access are Gaia and Alaya, The unconscious will for the world and humanity to not go extinct, and possibly the gods as well.

"Well would you listen to that, our dear Alast has a jewel-ranked mystic eyes connected to the throne of heroes." Pepe proclaimed his surprise. Usually mages would keep their mystic eyes effects under tight security only letting their most trusted friends and allies know.

"So what does it do other than giving access to the throne?" Ophelia had always been interested in stories pertaining to mythology and heroes. So Alastair having the ability to access the ultimate records of all heroes excited Ophelia to no end. Now that wasn't to say Ophelia suddenly discard her friendship with Alastair just to satisfy her love for heroes.

"Me and Marisbury aren't 100% sure on how it works but we have theory that it acts like a search engine." This intrigued Ophelia and Pepe they both knew what a search engine was unlike most mages with older linages as they view it as heresy towards the mystic arts. However it is a basic utility here in Chaldea so even the oldest of mages are forced to use technology.

"So by just seeing a servant with either of my eyes I can deduce their class. However its main effect is when I have a piece of information pertaining to that servants identity. So if I have servant's true name it automatically gives me the servant's legend, if I have a noble phantasm I would 'search' the throne for the noble phantasm then have 'find' the correct noble phantasm for the servant the same goes for personal skills. Of course this is all hypothetical at the moment but me and the director are nearly 100% certain is the power of my mystic eyes." Alastair explained the high possibility of his mystic eyes power.

Hearing Alastair's explanation both Pepe and Ophelia laughed as Alastair sounded like a fanboy talking about his idol. They of course were extremely interested in Alastair's powers just like any other mage would be.

In the director's room.

Marisbury Animusphere was sat at his desk when his door opened. Looking at the person just entered, "You're five minutes late, that's not like you." Before he could say anything else the person pulled out a gun pointing at Marisbury though if he was even the least bit scared he didn't show it. "Stop Chaldeas, huh?" he repeats. "Your request is rather difficult. The preservation of humanity or my own life. Which should I prioritise?" He says walking over to a nearby draw while having the gun pointed at him before opening the draw to reveal a gun of his own.

Pointing the gun at his head "That goes without saying." HE says before pulling the trigger and revoking his right to life. The person seeing this quickly makes an escape before anyone sees them.
