In a small village, lived a rather poor family in a small house: the parents and two grown daughters who resembled each other and were close in age. The house was near a forest that had a bad reputation, as the villagers described it as cursed because of the sounds of animals screaming at night.
Early in the morning, he woke up and went out to the humiliating work of supporting his family. Ignoring his feelings, he began cutting and gathering wood, then went to the village to sell it to the merchants. They payed him a small amount, but enough to cover the day's needs. He tried to raise the price, but like all the other workers, the merchant said angrily, "I accepted your shoddy wood, and now you dare to raise the price? If you're so desperate, marry one of your daughters to a rich man. I heard they're both grown now; supporting them is just an added burden for you."
The father ignored him until the merchant said in a provocative and mocking voice, "Hey Mark, you can give me one of them. I don't mind one of your beautiful daughters looking after my house and making me happy." Mark went towards him and punched him, saying, "If I hear my daughter's name on your filthy tongue, I'll kill you!" Meanwhile, at home, the mother called to Carla, saying, "Go and fill the water from the well because it's almost empty." Carla replied, "Mother! Why don't you ask Millie? She's the oldest among us and she's just lying around." The mother said, "Carla! Your sister is tired. She's been tending to the garden and watering the plants all day while you've been lounging around playing with those silly cats."
Carla pretended not to hear her mother and began brushing and grooming her hair. Millie said, "Come on, Carla, Mom asked you for one thing, and you're busy with this stupid hair. Why don't you just cut it?" Carla replied, "You're just jealous because my hair is thick. Even though yours is long, it's not thick and doesn't have a vibrant color like mine." "Dom!" "Dom!" The door banged loudly. Carla said, "Go, Millie, check the door." Millie replied, "Are you kidding? You open it." Her mother said, "Be quiet, I'll open it." She found Mark and asked, "What's wrong, dear? Why are you banging like that?" He said, "Don't talk to me while I'm at the door. Move aside so I can rest." Silence fell over the room. Then he shouted, "Millie, bring me some water! I'm thirsty!" Millie said in a nervous voice, "It's Carla's fault she didnt f-." Her father interrupted, "Damn it! I asked you one thing! You're just a burden on me. Go now and fill up from the well now." Her mother lucy said, "It's a little late, dear." He interrupted her, "And who was talking to you?" "Millie, go now and get that damned water!" So she went out quickly carrying a bucket, saying, "God protect me!" ignoring the strange sounds from the forest, she filled half the bucket and ran back home, while Carla hid in the room out of her father's sight. On the way back, he said to her, "Are you stupid? All this just to get half a bucket of water? Get out of my sight! I don't want to see you!" ,Millie returned to the room, saying, "It's all your fault, Carla! If it weren't for your laziness and negligence, Dad wouldn't have yelled at me like that, and he wouldn't have sent me out so late." Carla retorted, "And what about me? He's the one who took out his work-related anger on us. He's yelling at you, and now you're yelling at me!" Millie replied, "Fine, don't talk to me. I don't want to hear your annoying voice." Carla countered, "Oh, so you're upset now because he yelled at you while you were busy tending to the field all day?" Millie:"god! you are annoying i hate you"Then Carla said, "Hey, I know you're angry right now, but don't forget your promise to go shopping with me tomorrow. I promised Louis I'd see him tomorrow." Millie replied, "What? You're still seeing that flirt? Besides being annoying, you have absolutely no taste! Just be careful Dad doesn't see you. Now shut up and let me sleep."
