But ultimately it came to nothing, cheaply benefiting Lu Ye.

Lu Ye was somewhat moved.
"Even if auctioned, this breeding method would be worth quite a bit!"
A breeding manual produced by the "Cultivator" Green was at least purple epic quality.
Though not as good as Giovanni's The Essence of Earth, for Ghost-type trainers, it was a rare treasure.
"What a waste." Lu Ye sighed. "This thing doesn't have much value to me."

Lu Ye had zero interest in breeding Pokémon.

Confuse Ray was one of the moves Gastly could master early on.
Green believed that Gastly, born from light pollution, had a natural affinity for Confuse Ray.
Therefore, Gastly's Confuse Ray had considerable training potential—
Lu Ye was too lazy to train it.
Can't let Gastly disturb the stream, but can't keep it in its Poké Ball either. Having it learn something was always good!

"What use is Breloom???"
"Low base stats, weak resistances, not practical!"
"Not as good as Venusaur! Streamer, change Pokémon!"
Lu Ye remained unmoved and clicked the matchmaking interface.
"Oh no, Teacher Lu's going to start feeding!"
In the virtual image, Lu Ye matched with a player from the Sinnoh region, with official certification beside their ID.

Combined together, they created the near-bug-like recovery speed before their eyes!
The two Breloom kept exchanging blows, but one's HP continuously dropped while the other's health loss couldn't keep up with recovery.
A string of question marks scrolled through the chat.

"Can you stop being so cheap!"
After nearly a hundred rounds, seeing Breloom's inevitable victory, the tortured Gardenia voluntarily surrendered.
