Chapter 124 - Chapter 124 Lott: He Didn't Die, He Just Went to See King Kai

"So why did you come back? Is there some enemy I can't handle?" Lott asked the only thing he cared about.

In the original work, Future Trunks came back to find a way to deal with the Androids.

'What was the reason this time?'

'It couldn't be the Androids again, could it?'

'Speaking of which, it's absurd that Dr. Gero, a mere human, could create Androids stronger than Super Saiyan.'

'It just goes to show Earth's technology is number one in the universe.'

But even so, Lott didn't think he would lose to Android 17, 18, or Cell.

'Did I get a heart virus too?'

"Not really. Actually, stopping you, Dad, is a secondary reason. The main goal is to get Uncle Goku to leave Planet Earth. His future is... a bit miserable," Big T's expression turned sympathetic when he brought up this topic.

"Wh-what happened to Goku in the future?!" Chi-Chi, who was heavily pregnant, turned pale.

Big T didn't go into great detail.

He just gave a concise summary of the events.

In his and Pan's timeline-

After Lott destroyed Planet Terra and over a dozen other planets-

Although he took his 'family' to live on Earth, and helped the then-still-developing Goku officially awaken his Super Saiyan power and defeat Frieza-

Lott didn't join the Z-Fighters, nor did he take up the responsibility of protecting Earth.

Whenever enemies stronger than Frieza invaded Earth, the one who stood up was still Goku.

At first, Lott would lend a hand for fun, fighting alongside Goku.

But later, Lott got tired of it.

He couldn't be bothered with the hassle. So what if Earth was destroyed?

There were countless planets big and small in the universe, so they could just find another one.

Just before Big T traveled back, a monster called 'Majin Buu' appeared.

Goku was truly outmatched, and the Earth's population was reduced to less than ten percent.

Goku tried to ask Lott for help, but Lott was on some other planet doing who-knows-what.

He received the message but refused outright, telling Goku there was no need to stay on a planet with so much trouble.

He should just move to another one.

But Goku was still unwilling to abandon Earth. He fought Majin Buu again and was ultimately killed.

After that battle, less than five percent of Earth's population remained.

However, the most unexpected thing was that the surviving five percent didn't feel grateful towards the fallen Goku.

Instead, they directed their anger, that has nowhere to vent, towards him.

They believed Goku was too incompetent, that he failed to protect Earth properly.

This infuriated Big T, who was still living on Earth at the time.

'Seriously? He could have just used Instant Transmission to escape, but he stayed for you people.'

'Now he's dead, and you blame him?'

Furious, Big T took the Time Machine and came back.

He wanted to bring Goku to his dad's turf, Planet Terra, before Frieza invaded Earth.

Because he felt his Uncle Goku's life was just too tragic.

Unfortunately, he failed to change Goku's choice, and Goku still chose to stay on Earth.

After hearing Big T's account-

Silence fell over the scene once more.

Especially Goku's old friends like Bulma, who were too shocked to speak.

Chi-Chi had burst into tears.

Although she often complained, "Goku, you don't care about this family at all."-

Deep down, she knew her husband was someone who had to neglect his own family for the sake of everyone else.

But to learn that after dying to protect Earth, he would face such accusations...

She could no longer suppress her grief.

Bulma saw this and quickly went over to hug Chi-Chi, sighing inwardly, 'So this is Goku's ending?'

To be honest, as someone who had known him the longest, she wasn't entirely surprised by this outcome for Goku.

But she never expected the surviving Earthlings to be so ungrateful.

'Goku protected you without asking for anything in return, but you still blame him for it?!'

Yukino, standing silently behind her mother, couldn't help but doubt the sense of justice she had always held onto.

Among Lott and Goku, these two Saiyans of the same age-

She had always admired Goku more.

His way of saving others without asking for anything in return perfectly matched her understanding of 'justice'.

Yet, his future ending turned out like this...

"And then? What did you do with the remaining five percent of Earthlings? You didn't just leave them and come here, did you?" Lott suddenly asked.

Like Bulma, he wasn't surprised by Goku's ending.

But those Earthlings definitely needed a lesson.

If it were him, he would have blasted them all before leaving.

Lott's gaze towards Big T grew more serious.

'As my son, you surely wouldn't fail to handle something like that, right?'

Under his father's stare, Big T pursed his lips and said, "After I used Instant Transmission to move Mom, injured Gohan-nii, and the others to your place, Dad, I originally planned to destroy Earth..."

Before he could finish, Senzaemon and the others inwardly exclaimed, 'Holy crap!'

They thought he was a polite, well-mannered young man, but it turned out he had a temper too.

Everyone glanced silently at Lott.

'No wonder, he's his father's son.'

"'Originally'? Meaning you didn't do it? Why didn't you blow up Earth?!" Nino couldn't help but shout.

Everyone turned to look at Nino.

'Damn, this girl is fierce too!'

Big T's voice carried a hint of a sob. "Un-Uncle Goku... he said he didn't mind these things. He just wanted to protect Earth, no special reason. No matter what others said about him, Uncle Goku didn't care, and he didn't regret it..."

For a moment, including Lott himself-

Everyone was at a loss for words.

"Tch!" Lott clicked his tongue in displeasure, grumbling, "That idiot. I don't know whether to call him a saint or just plain simple-minded."

"Dad..." Pan looked at Lott in disbelief.

In her memory, she had never seen her father make such an expression.

Big T also had a complex look and remained silent.

In the future timeline, when he told his other dad about Uncle Goku's death-

That Lott had also made this expression.

"Dad, I failed to stop Uncle Goku from staying on Earth... Should I go back and use Planet Terra's Dragon Balls to revive Uncle Goku? After all, in my timeline, Uncle Piccolo also..."

"Forget it. He's not dead, and he just went to see King Kai," Lott, who had fallen silent, spoke again, seemingly able to imagine the smile on Goku's face before he died.

"Tch~ As expected, even until the very end, I could never learn to act like him."

The feeling Lott had towards Goku could probably be summarized as 'I will never become you, but that doesn't stop me from admiring you, right?'.

Lott would absolutely never be a savior.

"L-Lott-kun, Goku-san isn't dead yet," Saeko gently reminded him.

Lott's emotions gradually returned to normal. He suddenly spoke, "Big T."

"Dad?" Big T asked, puzzled.

"Go see that guy before he dies."
