Chapter 93 - Tragedy

"Good, both of you are here. Now I can rest assured." Oberon was very pleased that his military Overlord had not immediately interrupted them, but had entered after their conversation was over.

"Nemonteit, go activate our tomb fleet. You must have already sensed it; the galaxy seems to have changed. The changes in the real universe must be stopped."

"Nemonteit, go activate our tomb fleet, just in case."

"Seraphis, you too. Quickly repair your body, then activate our blackstone fortress to suppress the advent of the Warp.

The real universe is the territory of our Infinite Empire, and Warp invasion will never be tolerated."

The previous incident was just a minor interlude; now they needed to first solve the most troublesome matter at hand: curbing the changes in space.

As beings whose technology had reached its peak in the real universe, they regarded the entire galaxy as their territory, and naturally, it was not good for their territory to be invaded.

The Istam VI World had already been invaded by Necrons before the Warp Daemons launched their attack; this was the intelligence Noah had received.

"Warmaster, on Istam VI World, we have discovered a large number of Necron blackstone fortress structures. They suddenly appeared and destroyed several of our city facilities."

"The local PDF troops have not yet launched an attack against these Necrons. Their blackstone structures have effectively curbed a portion of the Warp's advent. What are your thoughts?"

A Custodian who came to report respectfully asked for Noah's opinion, and Noah, upon hearing this, conducted a round of deductions.

"Ignore them. Don't worry about the Necrons' actions. It's more important to deal with the Warp Daemons first. Those Necrons won't interfere with us."

Noah, relying on the advantage of his super brain, had quickly carried out deductions of various possibilities, and soon he determined the situation of that Necron Dynasty.

Fighting a Necron Dynasty at such a time was meaningless; it would be better to unite with them to deal with the biggest trouble at hand.

At Noah's instruction, humanity did not launch an attack on the Necrons, which also allowed the Necrons' tomb fleet to successfully rise. Their armies appeared on the planet's surface, protecting the blackstone fortress structures.

"Phaeron, we have discovered a large number of bipedal humanoid creatures on the planet's surface. They possess brilliant technology and civilization, are transforming the entire planet, and making it more habitable."

"At the same time, they possess a vast army. Currently, my opinion is not to conflict with them, but to deal with the great enemy first."

The human military strength on Istam VI World was sufficiently powerful, with a large PDF, plus the stationing of numerous Space Marines and Custodians, but even the Necrons at this time had to think twice before acting.

Oberon pondered for a moment after hearing this, then spoke:

"Seraphis, do as you say, my general. Our situation is somewhat unfavorable right now."

Engaging in battle with humans, especially humans with vast military power, would not benefit this Minor Necron Dynasty, which had just awakened.

As the Phaeron of this Minor Necron Dynasty, Oberon made his wisest choice.

The Necrons and humans, in tacit understanding, did not attack each other, and instead turned their gaze towards the cosmic void, where space was continuously being Warp-ified.

As time progressed, the Warp's coverage spread across the entire star sector, and Daemons began to appear!

The void shield energy shields of various planets quickly activated, beginning to envelop the planetary surfaces, resisting the erosion of Warp energy to ensure that the planetary garrisons maintained sufficient combat power.

However, very quickly, the original void shields failed on 107 of the World 108 within minutes of activation… The planet generator's super shield became the only thing resisting the erosion of Warp energy, but facing such terrifying Warp energy intrusion, the super shield's protection clearly would not last long.

As humanity's strongest scientist, who had never frowned before, even he felt a headache looking at this scene.

But it didn't matter, the first wave of attack during the Warp's advent was the most terrifying. As long as they could withstand the first wave, then the subsequent war was still winnable.

Noah witnessed this scene in the cosmic void—

As humanity's strongest scientist, who had never frowned before, even he felt a headache looking at this scene.

The Segmentum Obscurus 108 Worlds had not been unprepared for the appearance of the Warp, for example, with a large number of reality stabilizers and structural stabilizers, but it was clear that none of these had been effective this time.

This meant there was a problem with the planetary surface defenses. Those Harlequins were indeed masters of infiltration, having successfully destroyed these critical facilities.

After this incident passes, the defense work of each planet must be doubled again.

Noah muttered as he watched the changes in the cosmic void, and at this moment, the five Warp Daemons who were in a chaotic battle in the Warp stopped their fighting.

Tzeentch was the first to discover that a region in the cosmic void had directly become a Warp territory.

And that region happened to be the most vital Segmentum Obscurus, World 108, of humanity. Seeing this scene, Tzeentch made a move similar to his actions during the Siege of Terra.

The Daemon armies that were originally fighting chaotically in the Warp did not continue their melee in the Warp; instead, they were sent by Tzeentch into the real universe like a tide.

Tzeentch's unusual actions naturally caught the attention of the other three Chaos Gods, and they also discovered the changes in the cosmic entity in the next second.

The Segmentum Obscurus 108 Worlds, the Imperium of Man's newest top-tier world group, were exposed in their view at this moment. They contained a large number of Psykers, and a large number of human settlements and populations.

For them, it was not only the best food but also the best means to strike at humanity!

Without any hesitation, the Daemon armies of the other three Chaos Gods, upon seeing this scene, also urgently dispatched a large number of their Daemons to enter.

A war, like the Siege of Terra, where a consensus was reached, began. The Daemon armies of the four Warp Daemons appeared simultaneously in the real universe.

The Emperor naturally perceived the actions of the four Warp Daemons, and thus, upon seeing this matter, he also unhesitatingly dispatched his own Great E Daemon army.

Even a Primarch who had been guarding the Warp entrance was sent out by him.

Corvus Corax, who is currently the strongest among the Primarchs, was sent by the Emperor to command the Binding Legion.

As time went on, the war fully erupted. The forces of Chaos descended upon the real universe, allowing Chaos to appear directly on planets without needing to rely on fleets.

Powerful legions of Chaos Daemons began to charge frantically towards the super-energy shields, creating effects akin to an electric fly swatter.

However, the Chaos Daemons showed no signs of retreat; under the guidance of their main gods, they continuously launched charges.

The patrol fleets in the 108 worlds of the Murky Starfield constantly eliminated large-scale daemon clusters, destroying them with their weapons.

But the number of daemons was too vast, and the battlefront too wide. Even though the patrol fleets were attacking with all their might, the immense daemon army could still easily overwhelm their firepower.

If not for the patrol fleets' ability to engage in superluminal combat, which prevented the Chaos Daemons from confronting them directly, the daemons would likely have already encircled the patrol fleets.

Nevertheless, as the war continued, the patrol fleets' super-energy shields also began to falter.

They were merely ordinary warships; their energy reserves were not as vast as those of planets. If even planets' shields flickered under such an assault, the patrol fleets' shields were even more precarious.

Furthermore, the Warp Gods could now interfere with battles in the real universe. As Khorne made the first move, a blood-red energy attack struck a planet.

Its energy shield was instantly shattered by Khorne, followed by a massive influx of Chaos energy into the planet. Although the Emperor quickly reacted and fiercely struck at Khorne with his sword,

Khorne's action undoubtedly set an example for the other Chaos Gods. The other three Chaos Gods also began to personally intervene, breaking through the shields of the 108 worlds in the Murky Starfield.

One shield after another was breached, and Noah, who was commanding the operation from the center, saw this scene and his eyes blazed with fury!

Such powerful entities directly appearing in the real universe to launch attacks was something that had almost never occurred in the Terran Federation, and even if Void entities appeared, they would never be a match for the fleet.

After all, the strongest ones had never made a move until the Terran Federation used methods of catastrophe to forcefully provoke them.

The Warhammer side was different; these Warp Gods actually took the initiative to attack the real universe, which Noah had not anticipated.

His eyes were spitting fire, but he was currently not strong enough to confront the Chaos Gods.

Previously, with the real universe as a barrier, these Chaos Gods couldn't touch him, but now, if he made a move, someone would surely act against him.

However, doing nothing was not an option for Noah.

Under Noah's command, two of the six patrol fleets aimed their main cannons at the four Chaos Gods in the Warp.

Four towering beams of light illuminated the universe, directly striking the Chaos Gods. This scene was witnessed by the Necrons, who were activating their tomb fleets on a planet.

Oberon: "My general, come and see! These humans are truly brave; they actually launched an attack directly at these Void entities!"

Although the Necrons had become mechanical life forms, they still showed respect for warriors.

Seraphis bowed slightly and replied, "These humans are indeed brave, but I do not recommend that we intervene in this battle. The Warp contamination in this area is simply too severe."

"If we rely solely on the strength of our small dynasty, we will not be able to defend this part of the cosmos. My suggestion is to seek assistance from a more powerful dynasty."

The Pharaoh could praise the power of the human fleet on the other side in an unconcerned manner, but as the commander of the dynasty, Seraphis felt he could not.

"You are right, my general. I have already requested aid from our superior dynasty, and someone will soon arrive to resolve the issues in this area."

"Now, order our fleet to join the battle! This region is, after all, the territory of our Infinite Empire, and these Warp bastards are running rampant on my land. This is absolutely unacceptable!"

Oberon affirmed his general's words, but the next second, he chose to actively wage war against the Warp Gods.

As the former overlords of the galaxy and the strongest representatives of technology in this universe, the Necrons did not fear these Warp conflicts.

The Infinite Empire had always adhered to certain etiquette of ancient noble duels, and their ideas were also not significantly different from those of ancient nobility.

In Oberon's eyes, although these humans had also occupied his homeland, compared to these Warp Gods, the humans could be temporarily set aside.

Whether there were small bugs inside the house or someone outside wanted to smash the entire house, the Necrons were very clear about which one needed to be dealt with more urgently.

As the ruler of the Infinite Empire in this part of the cosmos, he felt he had both the necessity and the obligation to defend this starfield.

Although Seraphis felt his Pharaoh's order was ill-advised, he still faithfully carried it out.

As the commander of the army, the Pharaoh had an obligation to protect this starfield, and he also had an obligation to lead the dynasty's army to defend it.

This small Necron dynasty's fleet began to move and prepare to join the battle, and facing such a situation, Overlord Trazyn also prepared to join the fray.

However, the Necrons' entry into the battle would still take time to show their effectiveness. At this moment, a volley from four Titans directly struck the four Chaos Gods who had cast their shadows into space.

When the four towering beams of light struck the four Chaos Gods, they did not cause too much impact, but they still made them feel pain.

While the fleet Noah had built couldn't eliminate these Warp Gods, it could certainly inflict some pain and let them know that even an enraged ant can bite.

A dark spot appeared on each of the Warp Gods, disappearing quickly, but the blow to their prestige was fatal.

Especially poor Nurgle, who was directly headshotted by a Titan's inferno ray, his large head instantly turning from green to black.

Noah's attack indeed couldn't cause too much effective damage, but this attack, exceeding hundreds of thousands of times the speed of light, also prevented Nurgle and the others from having time to defend.

Anger began to surge in the hearts of these Chaos Gods; they wanted to teach these human fleets a lesson. However, at this moment, the Emperor was preparing to stand up... The four Chaos Gods, who had originally intended to make a move, instantly held back when they saw the Emperor's eager movement, ready to rise.

You say, how can you not be a good sport anymore?

Why stand up when you're sitting so nicely?

Sit down, quickly, sit down!

"We won't make a move, we won't make a move, just sit down, quickly."

To prevent the Emperor from losing his temper, the Four Chaos Gods ultimately chose to swallow their pride.

The four Chaos Gods obediently retreated, their docile behavior causing the Emperor, who had been about to stand, to remain firmly seated on the golden throne.

He had merely been trying to scare those four guys, betting that they wouldn't dare let him stand up, and he had clearly won that bet.

Those four guys were genuinely afraid of him standing up regardless of the consequences, but... the Emperor turned his head to look at Noah with a hint of helplessness.

This was all he could do; the rest depended on which side's ordinary units were stronger.

However, speaking of ordinary units, a glimmer of confidence returned to the Emperor's face.

What if the Warp directly descended?

Currently, the one hundred and eight worlds of the Segmentum Tempestus possessed all sorts of military units.

From the most powerful elite units like the Custodes and Noah's combat robots, to the most common PDF, four men were enough to take down one Space Marine.

Although the scale of this war far surpassed the Webway War and was the largest conflict between the Imperium of Man and Chaos, the Emperor did not believe they would lose!

Large numbers of Greater Daemons began appearing on the planet's surface; the Chaos Gods used Greater Daemons as their basic units for legion-level combat.

Ordinary Daemon units had lost their original value in this war.

The moment these ordinary Daemons appeared, they could even be cut down by a common PDF soldier with a knife.

And the first wave of attack they faced was not from humans; instead, large numbers of Necrons warriors also appeared on the planet's surface through phase technology.

The Infinite Empire would never stand behind any weak race; now that Chaos was invading, they would naturally be the first to meet the enemy!

The Necrons legions, full of aristocratic demeanor, engaged the Daemon armies first. The gauss rifles in the hands of the Necrons warriors continuously destroyed the Warp Daemons that appeared.

This scene made Noah, who was preparing to command the battle, slightly stunned, but he quickly issued new orders.

"Support those robots, clear the endless Daemon armies appearing in the distance for them!"

Although Noah didn't understand where these robots came from or why they were so proactive in engaging the enemy.

However, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

No matter what these guys were going to do next, now that they were fighting the enemy together, they were allies. Noah would not do anything underhanded.

Although Zhou Xing hated xenos and would choose to eliminate all kinds of xenos, it was clear that robots were never included in that long list.

Robots were merely artificial creations; why would you try to exterminate them?

And coincidentally, the Necrons at this time were robots. If they were the original Necrons of the Infinite Empire, Noah would have stood by and watched, but who made them robots?

Upon receiving Noah's command, the Imperium of Man's armies swiftly launched their attack.

Titan Legions, vast as mountains and seas, began to unleash their firepower, and behind them were even larger collapse cannons and gauss weapons.

Noah also possessed the Necrons' gauss disintigration weapons, and to eliminate these Warp threats, he had already mass-produced gauss weapons.

Unlike the penetrating high-velocity weapons and physical high-speed weapons equipped by ordinary infantry, the high-speed weapons Noah used this time were also of the disintegrating type.

One gauss ray after another, even more terrifying than those of the Necrons army, was fired from behind the Necrons army, subsequently disintegrating one gigantic Greater Daemon after another.

The battle on each planet was unimaginable compared to the previous apocalyptic battles; each planet had at least over 2,000 Emperor-class titan units deployed as heavy support fire platforms.

Even cygnus war engines had been deployed and were ready to intervene in the battle!

Other large-scale war machines were countless; the artillery units from before could be said to be the most basic.

Space collapse cannons and black hole weapons were deployed with full force. Since many planets were already undergoing transformation, Noah was not worried about damaging the planets.

With the Terran Federation's miraculous technology, no matter how powerful an attack you used, you could not shatter a planet.

Unless you used a few select weapons like Colossi and World Crackers.

These weapons carried some rule-based attacks; otherwise, even if other weapons could clearly blow up a planet, you would at most only create a crater on the planet.

The planet could never be blown up!

But even with the Necrons army and the Imperium of Man's army fighting with all their might, there were simply too many Daemons in the Warp.

Due to the impact of the War in Heaven, the various negative emotions in the Warp were as numerous as goose feathers, and coupled with the Warp's own massive energy, this led to these so-called Warp Daemons being virtually endless.

Moreover, the Eldar's actions tore a rift in the real universe, allowing the Warp to fully descend, which also caused those Greater Daemons that originally couldn't emerge to pour out like an ocean.

The combined forces of the Necrons and the Imperium of Man quickly fell into a disadvantage, and their troops began to contract inwards.

Every planet, except for the Ideal city Worlds that had been fully transformed, almost lost its first line of defense.

Of course, the Chaos Legions also suffered considerable losses.

The losses on the Chaos Daemons' side were incalculable, and the Chaos Gods had no interest in counting them; they simply wanted to show humanity their power!

As for the losses of Chaos Daemons?

Who would care about the loss of such things? They were like weeds; you could grab a handful of them anywhere in the Warp.

The ground war intensified, and the space war was even more frenzied. Trazyn's fleet had also entered the war phase.

The Necrons fleet began to cooperate in eliminating the Daemons constantly emerging from the Warp, while the six Patrol Fleets of humanity also combined to eliminate these Daemons with greater efficiency.

Compared to the ground war where Daemons could still make some progress, Daemons in space had almost no ability to resist.

Although these Daemons could move in the void of space, their own attack power hitting a warship was about as effective as a tickle.

More importantly, both the Necrons warships and human warships could travel hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands of times faster than light, which made these Warp Greater Daemons even more abstract.

Rather than saying they launched an attack on the Necrons and human fleets, it was more like they unconsciously used their bodies to block the warships.

They were like ants, constantly being run over by the Necrons and human warships, then crushed into dust.

Such methods caused a negligible amount of damage to the human and Necrons warships, bit by bit... The Necrons warships were made of liquid metal, so they could repair themselves, while human warships had nanotech, and their surface was coated with about 10 centimeters of necrodermis armor.

Not only was this armor incredibly tough, but the Greater Daemons, unable to launch attacks, blocking in front with their energy bodies caused no damage.

The armor could also repair itself... It was just that these two things were so fast that these Greater Daemons couldn't even see what damage the warships sustained, or if they were still intact, and at the same time, they had no choice but to be constantly rammed to death by the warships.

Otherwise, these Greater Daemons would probably have a mental breakdown.

Greater Daemons that could bring destruction to a planet were now like speed bumps on the road, serving no purpose whatsoever.

That might be an insult to speed bumps.

Speed bumps can at least slow things down, while they—

Couldn't even put a scratch on someone with their own bodies.

Sometimes, speed is actually the greatest weapon!

When Corvus Corax emerged from the warp, ready to aid the Imperial forces, he witnessed the scene unfolding in space.

The Great Daemons, who seemed quite powerful, were utterly useless, like specks of dust, being tossed around by the battleships. Corax, observing this, couldn't help but twitch his lips.

He had considered many possibilities; he even thought his father had rescued him from the Eye of Terror, no longer targeting Lorgar, in order to solve the Imperium's great problems. But he had never anticipated the scene before him.

In space, the Chaos Daemon forces were almost completely overwhelmed. Although the ground battle was already at a disadvantage, Corax could still see that the human legions had not yet reached their breaking point.

Intense firepower rained down on the Chaos Daemon forces. Even with Khorne's blessings, and even though Khorne's daemons could resist some of the conceptual effects of gunfire, their lives were still easily extinguished.

Massive Cyberus war machines strode across the surface, making even Warlord and Emperor-class Titans appear like mere sons in comparison.

It seemed the human army was incredibly powerful and shouldn't have lost to the daemons, but the reality was quite the opposite.

Even though the human legions had deployed such a massive force, the daemons were still steadily advancing. Even if they only pushed a few millimeters each day, it was still an advance!

In the face of such a war, Corax was somewhat confused about what he could do.

Was he supposed to personally kill a few Great Daemons?

Corax turned his head to look at the Great Daemons in space, who were being crushed by battleships as if they were speed bumps, and shook his head vigorously.

The number of Great Daemons he could kill personally would probably be less than those killed by these battleships just moving around in the void.

Corax was lost. The Lord of Ravens was bewildered at this moment. He didn't know what he could do; the power of a Primarch seemed meaningless in a war of this scale.

Clearly, he was underestimating himself. Noah, who was commanding the battle, saw the Lord of Ravens appear in space. After verifying the Primarch's identity, he quickly recognized who it was.

Corvus Corax, Primarch of the Raven Guard Legion, and one of the few sane Primarchs.

He possessed noble ideals and the will to realize them. Such a person would be perfect for the Departmento Administratum.

Guilliman finally wouldn't have to fight alone anymore; a suitable candidate to help him manage Imperial affairs had appeared.

Noah, still commanding the battle, quickly ordered a frigate to approach Corax.

There is no wind in space, but for some reason, when the frigate traveling at 100,000 times the speed of light stopped in front of Corax, he felt as if a great gust of wind had swept past him.

He stared blankly at the frigate that had suddenly stopped before him, somewhat confused.

However, his confusion was answered the next second.

"Identity confirmed: Imperial Primarch Corvus Corax, Lord of Ravens.

Primarch, welcome back to the Imperium. I have been ordered to pick you up. Your safety will be our top priority. Please board the battleship."

Corax hesitated for only a few seconds before choosing to enter the frigate.

The Lord of Ravens did not believe that humans would harm him; after all, he had come here at his father's command.

The frigate carrying Corax quickly resumed its speed of 100,000 times the speed of light, leaving the battlefield and arriving at Ideal city World, Noah's command center in the core headquarters of the Segmentum Tempestus' World 108.

Upon entering the world's orbit, the frigate didn't wait for a shuttle to pick up Corax. Instead, it directly entered the planetary surface and then swiftly transported Corax, with sparks and lightning, to Noah's presence.

However, within the planet, the frigate did not use extreme speeds like superluminal travel. It slowed down, moving at a speed appropriate for the planetary surface, which gave Corax the opportunity to observe Ideal city World.

As the frigate brought Corax to Noah, he successfully observed the sights of Ideal city World.

And the living conditions of the human citizens who had been evacuated to their homes and shelters.

Under such large-scale war conditions, the people in the rear were still able to live in peace and contentment.

Such a life of peace and prosperity was something Corax had never dared to imagine. It was even more ideal than the society he had envisioned.

The feeling of his ideal being realized filled Corax with immense excitement.

This caused him, upon meeting Noah for the first time, not to salute the Imperial Warmaster, but instead to excitedly grasp Noah's hand.

"Is... is this the current life of humanity?" Corax's voice trembled slightly with emotion as he pointed to the towering, yet aesthetically pleasing, buildings outside the window.

Even now, during a war, the human citizens on these planets could continue to enjoy their lives, undisturbed by the conflict!

This scene washed over Corax's mind, making him unable to bear letting go of Noah's hand, holding it tightly instead.

"Of course, everything is as you see before you. This will be a microcosm and vision of the Imperium's future worlds."

"However, our capabilities are limited; we need to do this one planet at a time. Can you understand what I mean?"

Noah used a little force to pull his hand away from Corax's grasp, and continued to command the army, while also conversing with Corax.

Hearing Noah's reply made Corax's mood even better.

The next second, he once again tightly clasped Noah's hand, which had just been pulled away with difficulty, looking at Noah with pleading eyes, his own eyes brimming with tears.

"Please... I know what I'm about to say will be presumptuous, but I truly can't help but ask if you could please go to Deliverance and bring about changes there, just like here."

Corax mustered all his courage and made this request to Noah.

"Your home world, is that right, Corax?"

Hearing Corax's request, Noah once again shifted a bit of his attention, focusing it on the Raven King.

"Yes..." As he spoke, Corax couldn't help but lower his head. He had failed Deliverance; he had failed his comrades who had fought alongside him.

He could never forget how he had once led his comrades in resisting tyranny and injustice, only to personally return to Deliverance and suppress the uprising his comrades had started.

The dragon-slayer eventually became a dragon. Whenever he thought of what he had done, he felt deep remorse. This was also why he had always confronted Lorgar.

It wasn't just because Lorgar's actions filled him with boundless rage; more importantly, he dared not return to his home world.

He dared not return to Deliverance to face the comrades who had once fought alongside him.

He dared not return to Deliverance to face the descendants of his comrades.

He had no face to return.

Because he had promised to save that planet, yet he ultimately suppressed his companions' uprising.

"Of course, Corax. If you need it, after the war ends, I can naturally make Deliverance look like what you see now."

Noah's words echoed in Corax's ears.

This sentence was like heavenly music, causing Corax, who had been lowering his head, to suddenly lift it.

"Really? Warmaster, thank you!"

"But," Noah's tone shifted, his gaze moving from the star chart back to Corvus' excited face, his voice calm but carrying an undeniable weight, "there is one condition."

Corvus' heart tightened slightly, but his eyes remained fervent: "Whatever the condition, as long as I can do it..."

"This condition, precisely, requires you to fulfill it personally."

Noah pointed out the window, "Don't look at the current war; just look at what you can see before your eyes."

"Do you see this prosperity? It didn't come out of nowhere, nor can it be sustained by military force alone. It requires rules, order, and a governance system that can self-purify and continuously optimize."

"Guilliman built the framework on Terra, but the filling of the flesh and blood requires executors like you, who understand the cruelty of war yet harbor ideals of construction."

Noah paused, looking into Corvus' eyes: "Saving the stars can become another 'Ideal city' pilot outside the Segmentum Tempestus."

"But its change must be personally led and witnessed by you, Corvus, Corvus Corax. You need to return there."

"Go face everything you once avoided, and use construction, not suppression, to truly fulfill the promises you made to your comrades and your people back then."

"By me... personally return?" Corvus' voice deepened, images of the past flashing through his mind—the figures of his comrades falling under his suppression orders. The deep-seated guilt and pain almost overwhelmed him.

He subconsciously wanted to retreat.

But just as he couldn't help but take half a step back, Noah stood up from the command position and grabbed Corvus...

"An idealist cannot just have ideals; they must have the courage to realize their ideals. Otherwise, everything you desire will not happen."

"Guilliman is already very tired. He alone needs to manage the entire Empire. Now he needs someone to help him."

"And you have returned. Among the many Primarchs, I think you can help him."

"Participating in the affairs of the Department of the Interior can also allow you to realize your ideals."

"Corvus, give it a try. If you don't want to keep escaping reality as you are now, if you truly want to achieve what your comrades wished for, then try it. The opportunity is already before you."

To find a helper for Guilliman, Noah could be said to have racked his brains, even withdrawing some of his energy to persuade Corvus here.

Noah's persuasion had some effect. As a liberator, Corvus now had the opportunity to realize the ideals in his heart, and he naturally had to seize it.

"Good!" Corvus successfully overcame his inner fear and readily agreed.

"Very good!" Since the other party agreed to his arrangement, Guilliman could relax a bit. Noah felt he had done right by Guilliman.

"Then, you can first learn some knowledge from me, and you can also go to the battlefield to eliminate those Chaos Daemons to ensure that this place can continue to prosper."

"I won't continue to entertain you here; after all, war is my primary concern right now."

After successfully persuading Corvus to return, Noah completely shifted his attention back to the war.

The conversation with Corvus Corax was merely an incidental matter; the true focus remained the ongoing war.

Corvus did not immediately go out to participate in the war. Instead, he continued to stay with Noah, beginning to learn about various classics and policies.

Time quickly passed, a full 30 Terra days. The war continued, and the flames of battle on various planets still raged fiercely.

Every planetary operation was personally commanded by Noah.

But even so.

Facing the endless Warp Daemons, the battle lines on various planets were constantly retreating.

Long-term operations led to a significant increase in weapon and equipment consumption. Even with the production capacity of World 108, it was difficult to sustain the current insane expenditure of ammunition.

The Warp's arrival caused some equipment to fail, requiring operation under the protection of Psionic shields, which in turn demanded massive amounts of energy to maintain.

Many factories had now completely shut down, with war and food as the highest priorities, but even so, energy shortages still appeared.

Noah continuously adjusted energy consumption, trying to make World 108 persist. All he could do was delay the advent and arrival of death.

The war continued into the 4th standard Terra month—

The Titan Legions that were originally fighting on various planets had each lost at least over 200 Emperor-class or Warmaster titans.

The front lines retreated again. The Chaos Daemon Army continued to pour out endlessly, and even though Necrons joined the battlefield, their Blackstone devices still could not seal the Warp back.

The Chaos Gods had seen the rich World 108. They would never return without severely damaging these 108 Worlds.

The Warp fluctuations sustained by the Chaos Gods' personal intervention were not something a Necron Overlord could resolve.

Nor was it something a Minor Necron Dynasty could resolve.

Necrons had already deployed c'tan shards, but it was clear that their effect was not significant.

The war continued—

Time reached the 8th standard Terra month—

The collapse began. The first and worst-developed World 108 collapsed. The Chaos Daemon Army surged into the urban areas.

Large numbers of Space Marines PDFs and Imperial Guard sacrificed themselves in the flames of war. A large number of Chaos Daemons rushed into the urban areas, and fierce street fighting began.

Unlike Imperial Worlds, where ordinary civilians were completely unable to fight Chaos Daemons, it was different here.

After the Segmentum Tempestus and World 108 engaged in street fighting, those human citizens who had originally been arranged by the government to hide in their homes also picked up their gauss weapons.

"Fight!"

"For the manifest destiny of humanity, humans will never surrender, even if we all die here!"

Corvus had personally come out in the eighth month, beginning to lead the human army in battle.

When the Imperial Citizen picked up their weapons and began to attack Chaos, Corvus saw his ideal.

When he saw an Imperial Citizen sacrifice their life for an Imperial Guard soldier, he saw his ideal.

Corvus wanted to protect those Imperial citizens. He unleashed his powerful Psionic, sweeping away the surrounding Chaos Daemons, but it was merely a drop in the bucket.

As the first standard Terra year passed, the first planet of the Segmentum Obscurus 108 Worlds fell.

The local human Citizen fought until the last moment. Out of 240 billion human citizens, except for 20 billion children who were urgently evacuated to another world, all human citizens and all human armies died in battle.

And with their deaths, the fusion of the Warp and the real universe decreased.

Although the Eldar's devices brought the Warp into the real universe, it also had limitations.

As the Warp Daemons' losses became increasingly severe, the connection between the real universe and the Warp was also constantly becoming distinct.

What went largely unnoticed was that the losses of the Warp Daemons were a bit too great. The Warp itself had become somewhat clearer, and although this clarity didn't seem to reduce much, only a trace, a change had already occurred.

After all, Daemons are born from various evil thoughts.

As the Daemons disappeared, the evil thoughts naturally vanished into thin air.

The war began to turn—

The Warp and the real universe began to diverge, a change that naturally didn't escape Noah's notice.

Having commanded the war for over a year, Noah saw a glimmer of hope for victory.

However, this hope was incredibly faint; after a full year of fighting, only such a tiny change had occurred. Relying on war to achieve a complete separation seemed far too difficult.

The smile on Noah's face appeared only for a moment before vanishing again.

But who was he? He was a Level 10 scientist of the Terran Federation. It was hard to imagine anything he didn't understand; all he lacked was a small spark of inspiration.

Once Noah saw this scene and found his inspiration, he plunged into his laboratory, beginning to research the Necron's Blackstone structure and the Warp-reality energy separator.

Why not research a device to prematurely separate the real universe from the Warp to prevent the continuous escalation of the war?

That was Noah's thought. He dedicated half of his energy to research, while the other half continued to command the Imperial armies on various planets in their desperate fight.

No planet would be abandoned, and no human citizen would be forsaken.

The war continued. As the war entered its second year, the Lion returned, bringing his Dark Angels Legion to join the battlefield.

After the Lion's return, the World Eaters Legion, now known as the Redeemers Legion, who had gained their freedom with Noah's help, also returned.

A large number of Redeemers once again stood on Imperial soil, fighting to defend the Imperium.

On Terra, Guilliman had made every possible arrangement for administrative matters, personally leading the Ultramarines to the 108 Worlds of the Mists Nebula. The moment they arrived, he too plunged into the war.

To ensure the war could continue, Noah unhesitatingly mobilized the Space Marine forces from his core 28 planets to join the battlefield.

Countless Greater Daemons were annihilated almost every moment, but also countless Space Marines fell on the battlefield every moment, yet no one retreated.

Space Marines from the Imperium joined the battlefield in an almost endless stream, while Greater Daemons and Chaos Daemon Legions from Chaos entered the fight in an unparalleled number.

the Emperor even dispatched all of his Cursed Legions, though their numbers naturally couldn't compare to the Warp Daemons. Nevertheless, this intensified the war to a fever pitch.

As the military might invested by the Imperium grew stronger, the small Necron Dynasty that had awakened here watched in stunned disbelief.

Overlord Ahberon had to admit that in two years of continuous warfare, he had witnessed the strength of this human civilization.

The sight of numerous Space Marines entering the battlefield and vast fleets sailing out of starports, using arc generators similar to their own to destroy Warp Daemons, made him feel that the civilization here was not to be trifled with.

The Silent King Trazyn, who was fighting alongside them, also brought his flagship, a World Engine, and joined the battle.

Trazyn admitted that the intensity of this war seemed to exceed his imagination; it was not something a single Necron Overlord could resolve.

However, the Warp invasion had to be dealt with. Since he was already here, the war had to continue.

The Necron armies were also fully committed, fighting with all their might.

The war continued into its third year—

This war had lasted for three years. The Imperium's losses were immeasurable. A vast number of Space Marines had fallen on the battlefield. The Administratum still couldn't tally how many Space Marines, Custodians, and Grey Knights had fallen here.

The Custodians fought for three years. The enemies were simply too numerous. They once again felt the same pain as during the War in the Webway: the Custodians were literally exhausted to death.

But what if there were losses? More reinforcements were continuously arriving from the rear!

Everyone knew the war was still ongoing, because by the third year of fighting in the 108 Worlds, only 28 worlds had fallen. humanity still had 80 worlds to defend!

For the manifest destiny of humanity, no human chose to retreat. They still chose to use their flesh and blood to resist the Chaos invasion.

In a war of this scale, even Space Marines had only a few minutes of life, let alone ordinary soldiers who hadn't undergone Space Marine surgical modifications.

They would almost instantly vanish upon being thrown into the battlefield, but they had no regrets.

As mentioned before, each planet had a population of over 200 billion, and almost every fallen planet saw only tens of billions of people evacuated.

These tens of billions were children... As for the rest, all had died on the battlefield. The Chaos invasion continued until the armies were depleted.

When Space Marines and other reinforcements couldn't arrive, all civilians became the planet's last line of defense.

For the Holy Emperor, for the great and benevolent Warmaster!

And also for this beloved fertile land, they were willing to fight to the very last moment!

For Noah, the increasing intensity of the war caused him more headaches, leading to less and less energy he could dedicate to scientific research.

In the second year, he could still dedicate half of his energy to researching his device, but by the third year, he had only a quarter of his energy left for research.

Now, in the fourth year, Noah's energy for researching the device was less than 1/10, but it didn't matter; he was close to completing it.

The war ended in June of the fourth year.

Noah pulled out the device he had researched for three full years, and when this device was brought out and connected to a secondary singularity core as its power source, the Warp and the real universe were completely separated.

An invisible wave swept across the entire galaxy, completely severing the Warp from the real universe once more. The Greater Daemons that had appeared in the real universe instantly vanished.

The laws of the real universe did not allow these Greater Daemons to appear so easily. Before, this was the Warp, so they couldn't be driven away, but now the war was over.

The war ended. The Silent King Trazyn looked at Noah. He tried to take Noah away as a collectible, but when Noah pulled out that device, Trazyn already knew that if he wanted to turn Noah into a collectible, he would have to be prepared to be collected by Noah.

The technology of the Infinite Empire seemed not to be at the pinnacle of this universe. The Warmaster he had seen possessed technology so powerful he dared not imagine it.

Noah himself was a miracle. Trazyn did not leave; instead, he remained in the void of the universe.

He wanted to meet that powerful scientist, that Warmaster of the Imperium.

For no other reason, he just wanted to meet this legendary commander. And with the same idea as him was Overlord Ahberon, the Necron Phaerakh of the small Necron Dynasty that had awakened here.

If Trazyn didn't leave because he wanted to meet Noah, then Ahberon simply couldn't leave.

Because his home was here.

His home was here, and the armies of the Imperium were unimaginably strong. What else could be said?

Naturally, he could only stay here, then, according to etiquette, pay a visit to this Warmaster of the Imperium and ask if he could grant him a planet.

It was a bit humiliating, but the strong were revered, and the Necrons had no other choice.

Noah, of course, knew that the Necrons were waiting for him.

However, Noah didn't think the Necrons were waiting for him; instead, he believed they were likely just lingering in the void. Let them linger.

Having just concluded a war, he currently had no time to concern himself with the Necrons in the void. He simply had no time.

Meeting with the Necrons was not his most pressing concern at the moment.

He had many tasks to attend to: post-war reconstruction, assessing army losses, and a host of other matters that required his personal attention.

The 108 Worlds had suffered truly immense losses in this war, far exceeding Noah's imagination.

Recorded personally by the Warmaster of the Mists Sector Military Department:

The 108 Worlds of the Mists Sector faced an unprecedented Eldar conspiracy.

Under the Eldar's machinations, the 108 Worlds of the Mists Sector fought to the last moment, resulting in 33 planets falling and being completely destroyed by Chaos forces. These planets now require re-purification before they can be recolonized.

The remaining 75 worlds also sustained varying degrees of damage, with at least 60 planets no longer able to operate normally or provide resources. The minimum loss for any world included half of its structures destroyed and a population reduction of over one-third.

Among the planets that did not completely fall, the most devastated world, which originally recorded a population of 339.6 billion, was reduced to only 2.3 billion by the end of the conflict.

Of the 2.3 billion survivors, 2.2 billion were children, with less than 100 million adults. Of these 100 million adults, at least 90 million were Imperial soldiers!

The Imperial army on this planet numbered 160 million, meaning at least 70 million Imperial soldiers were children. Yet, these children did not retreat; instead, they chose to fight to the death alongside their homeland.

Why?

Because as the war reached its final stages, they had nowhere left to evacuate. Simultaneously, the Imperial transport ships had suffered heavy losses in the conflict and could no longer ferry them away. They were left with no choice but to fight until the very last moment.

Population loss was only a small part of the devastation; there were also massive losses of Space Marines and Imperial Guard, as well as PDFs. These losses were eventually tallied by the Imperium.

During the four-year war in the 108 Worlds of the Mists Sector, the Imperial army suffered over 1.2897 trillion casualties.

The precise figure was 1,289,767,299,327 casualties.

This figure represents only the losses, not including the wounded. However, the number of wounded was significantly lower than the number of fallen, as it is incredibly difficult for mortal troops to survive a war against Chaos.

But when all the casualty figures were compiled, the Imperial army's losses in this war had already exceeded 1.4 trillion.

In addition to these losses among regular mortal legions, there were also Space Marine casualties.

This included Space Marines from within the 28 Worlds who were mobilized, as well as those Space Marines who were part of the Imperium's full-scale expansion at the time.

Combining local garrisons with these supporting Space Marines, the Imperium's Space Marine losses in this operation reached a staggering 180 million!

This war was one of the most brutal the Imperium had ever experienced. The Imperium, which once had only a million Space Marines, lost a colossal 180 million in this single conflict.

For Space Marine losses to be counted in the hundreds of millions was almost unprecedented for the Imperium.

Furthermore, there were significant losses of war machines, including colossal combat units like Titans, with their losses exceeding 10 million.

In this operation, over 2 million Emperor-class Titans were lost.

Other types of Titans combined accounted for over 9 million losses, meaning the Titan Legions suffered over 11 million casualties in this single operation.

Colossal combat units like the Cerberus battle-frames, which stood as tall as mountains, also suffered heavy losses; over 127 Cerberus battle-frames were destroyed during the five-year war.

The full might of the daemon armies was unleashed, Daemonstrating their terrifying combat power!

The losses for the Adeptus Custodes and Grey Knights in this battle were over 3 million for the Custodes and over 3.6 million for the Grey Knights.

The Custodes, originally a much larger force, were reduced to just 1.4 million.

Many of these Custodes were subsequently trained and deployed to the battlefield. Had Trajan not heeded Noah's advice to intensify Custodes training, their numbers would likely have plummeted to a mere 100,000.

The Custodes' losses were somewhat more absurd than other forces; these Custodes primarily fought for five years and were literally worked to death.

This wasn't in the Webway. Previously, in the Webway, Noah could utilize various shield systems to firmly confine the daemon armies in front of him.

They could only launch frontal assaults. But this was across an entire battlefield.

The grand shields were destroyed by the Warp Gods at the very beginning, which allowed Warp Daemons to appear virtually anywhere, a significant disadvantage for the Imperial forces.

If not for Noah's command, the losses would likely have been even greater.

All 108 Worlds would probably have fallen, but even with Noah in command, such losses were enough to make the entire Imperium shudder.

However, the Warp also suffered significant losses. Even the four Chaos Gods, upon witnessing such immense casualties, grew numb.

While they typically disregard daemon losses and casualties, this was predicated on the assumption of replenishment. Yet, the scale of this war was simply too extreme.

The negative energy of the Warp, which generates these daemons, has been directly halved, even with the continuous supply from across the galaxy, now purified.

The Warp can be said to have become considerably cleaner.

The most striking feature is that the four Chaos Gods in the Warp now inexplicably possess a faint, almost imperceptible, and barely visible aura of sanctity.

While they are still recovering by drawing on the amorphous negative energy that appears in the real universe, it has indeed manifested.

If these four entities were to burn away all their negative emotions, they could indeed transform into benevolent deities.

When Noah saw the massive loss report, even as a scientist accustomed to various wars, he couldn't help but feel a pang of anguish.

And if even Noah felt such anguish, the Imperial Primarchs who saw this report naturally shared the same expression; they couldn't believe such immense losses had occurred.

Among the Primarchs, Angron's sorrow was the greatest, as his Redemptor Legion was reduced to a mere 30,000 soldiers after this war.

The Angron of today is no longer the daemon-controlled Angron of the past. Witnessing the heavy losses of his sons, Angron's grief was profound and heartfelt.

Even the most arrogant of them, the Lion, fell silent upon seeing these staggering casualty figures. His Dark Angels Legion also suffered considerable losses in this battle.

The only one without a legion to worry about was Corvus Corax, but the Lord of Ravens was equally grief-stricken.

Because even the Ideal city, which he considered so beautiful, also suffered more than half its losses in this war.

He saw his ideal exist in the world, but he also saw that world within his ideal ravaged and destroyed by Chaos Daemons, transformed into a hellish landscape.

In Noah's laboratory, all the Primarchs and Noah himself silently gazed at the unacceptable casualty report before them.

After a long silence, Guilliman, his eyes red, finally looked at Noah and declared emphatically.

"Warmaster, we need revenge! We must make those Eldar pay! They committed such an act, and they must pay the price!"

Such immense losses were tormenting Guilliman's nerves. The Imperial Regent was offline in that moment, and Guilliman's Warp essence, the Avenging Son, instantly came online!

Guilliman's words seemed to open the meridians of the other Primarchs, and without further ado, they all stood up.

"Warmaster, we demand vengeance! We absolutely cannot let the perpetrators of this crime escape! We demand vengeance!!!"

Everyone knew why the current situation had occurred; it was all a conspiracy by the Aeldari, those Aeldari Harlequins who had placed a large number of absurd devices in World 108, leading to a full-scale incursion of the Warp into the real universe.

It was precisely because of their actions that the Imperium of Man suffered immeasurable losses in this war.

And what was just mentioned were only the losses on the ground forces' side; they hadn't even talked about the Imperial Navy's losses yet.

The Imperial Navy also participated in this war, and although Noah's Patrol Fleet's operation was almost akin to overwhelming the Chaos Daemons with sheer luck, by the second year of the war, its energy shields were also completely depleted.

With the direct assistance of the Chaos Gods of the Warp, a large number of Chaos Daemons also intervened in the internal combat of the titan ships.

Noah's Patrol Fleet, which he had assembled and merged at the beginning of the war, now had only four remaining.

The remaining Patrol Fleet titan ships were either completely corrupted by the Daemons in the Warp and dragged into it, or they had already become scrap metal in the galaxy.

The Terran Federation's titan ships could indeed resist Chaos incursions, but that was predicated on technology still being present, and on the titan ships being controlled by humans.

When the naval officers and crew within the fleet were all dead or wounded, and when the titan ship's shield energy was exhausted.

When the titan ship's weapon systems could no longer be used, and when only a sentient ai remained, the chaotic corrupted code spread by the Chaos Daemons could completely corrupt these titan ships.

Nothing is ever 100% immune; it's just that their numbers aren't large enough. A single Chaos Daemon might not affect these titan ships.

However, quantitative change always leads to qualitative change. The Chaos Daemons in the Warp have no numerical limit; they continuously appear inside the titan ships and, at the cost of their own lives, corrupt the titan ships, causing them to generate evil Chaos souls.

Even if this number is so vast that it astonishes the Warp Daemons, billions of Warp Daemons are needed to corrupt a small area.

But that's not a problem; the Daemons of the Warp have accumulated tens of millions of years of negative energy.

The negative energy provided by those Aeldari is enough for these Chaos Gods of the Warp to squander.

As long as the number of Daemons they sacrifice is large enough, even a titan ship will be corrupted and can be taken away.

Although the captured titan ship is just a shell, the Dark Mechanicum can install weapons on it.

In this war, although the Chaos Gods were restricted by the Emperor, who could stand up at any time, and thus couldn't fully exert their power, how could the Emperor stop them from acting in the shadows?

The 4-on-1 advantage was theirs.

As long as a Chaos God personally takes action, this process is almost irreversible... The Imperium of Man has suffered such heavy losses; should those Aeldari be allowed to remain uninvolved?

No!

Absolutely not!

There was no need for these Primarchs to state it; Noah's heart was already prepared for revenge.

"Of course, we must begin our revenge and completely eradicate these Aeldari, but for now, we need to resolve the immediate problems."

"After this war, our losses are too great, and we temporarily lack sufficient resources to mobilize for war against those Aeldari."

"Races that can become Overlords of the galaxy are never to be underestimated, just like this time, they gave us a huge 'surprise'!"

"So we cannot underestimate them. The Imperium of Man's losses in this war are too great; for a long time to come, we will be unable to bear the cost of external wars."

"Guilliman, in a while, you will return to Terra to continue maintaining the stability and harmony of the Imperium of Man."

"We need to stabilize the Imperium of Man's foundation and, as much as possible, suppress the attacks of the orks and the Tyranid Swarm; they are also formidable enemies."

Noah issued the order, and Guilliman's rationality returned to the forefront; he forcibly suppressed the traits of the Sons of amazingly.

"Yes, Warmaster, I understand. I will return in a few days and stabilize the situation of the Imperium of Man. I will not disappoint you."

"Mm." Noah nodded, then turned to look at Angron.

"Angron, your legion has suffered severe losses. During the subsequent reconstruction efforts, I will do my best to rebuild your legion. Your task remains to save the Imperial Worlds in the Segmentum Tempestus as much as possible."

"Rescue those Worlds from darkness as much as possible, and let them once again feel the light of the Imperium of Man."

"However, this time I give you an additional task: if you encounter any Aeldari members during the rescue process, kill without mercy!"

"Do not question me; as long as you find Aeldari, no matter what kind of Aeldari they are, eliminate them all. When they decided to initiate this war, their entire race had no innocents!"

"As humanity's butcher, eliminate them. Don't care what they are, because this is a life-and-death war. War does not allow for any mercy.

If you show them mercy, then we don't know if this kind of thing will happen again next time."

Noah's face was solemn and filled with killing intent.

Although a full-scale war against the Aeldari to completely eradicate these guys was not possible now, a small-scale retaliation could still be carried out on Angron's expedition path!

"Understood, Warmaster, I will not disappoint you. All Aeldari I encounter on the way, I will make them know what war is. I will make them regret appearing in this World!"

Angron would not refuse Noah's order, especially since it was an order to retaliate and go on a killing spree. Even if Angron's Warp essence had returned, he could still act against races that harmed humans.

Gentleness is for internal affairs, and never for external ones. Externally, they must be resolute, otherwise, how could they face their internal citizens and people, and how could they protect these fellow humans.

"Mm." Noah also nodded, then looked at Lion.

"Never mind, Lion, continue your previous operations. Continue to save those Imperial Worlds that need you, but there's one thing: on your way, like Angron, eliminate those Aeldari. I will also expand your Dark Angels Legion for you."

Noah had no specific arrangements for Lion; he simply let him continue to act according to his previous style, as he didn't have a statistical table of Aeldari Worlds at hand.

Lion's elusive nature might be better suited to eliminating those Aeldari.

"Understood!" Lion stood up. He did not feel that Noah was belittling him; instead, he understood Noah's meaning.

It was to use his Warp essence to appear on other Worlds at any time to discover those Aeldari.

"Corvus." Noah finally looked at Corvus Corax.

"I'm here." Corvus broke free from his grief and stood up, looking at Noah.

"Although war has destroyed our Worlds, this is also an opportunity. Go ahead and try to build the World of your ideals."

"If you cannot take the first step, then all ideals are mere fantasies.

I will entrust the reconstruction project of World 108 to you. Go and realize your ideals and ambitions as much as possible; I will help you from behind."

"I will have your legion re-assigned to you and then expanded. The defense of the Segmentum Obscurus 108 Worlds will be entrusted to the Raven Guard."

"The army's numbers are too small now, so they won't be sent out to fight. We'll talk after they've been expanded."

Although Corvus displayed his powerful combat ability in this war, Noah still cultivated him in the direction of a statesman or ruler.

An idealist, of course, should be allowed to realize his ideals, especially if those ideals are beneficial to humanity.

"I..." Corvus initially wanted to say that he could also go and eliminate the Aeldari, but after seeing Noah's gaze, he dispelled the thought.

"Understood, Warmaster, I will do my utmost to achieve it!"

A small meeting concluded; it was a meeting that almost determined the future direction of the Imperium of Man, yet it wasn't very complex and was quickly finished.

After arranging the tasks for the Primarchs, Noah waved his hand, signaling that the Primarchs could leave, leaving him alone in the laboratory.

He was once merely a scientist, and while a scientist had experienced the various processes of humanity's rise, he had never directly faced a war with such large-scale casualties.

Every human was precious in the eyes of the Terran Federation, and the current number of deaths, almost in the trillions, tormented Noah's heart.

So many humans died on the battlefield, at the hands of the Chaos Gods, yet with the equipment at his disposal, he managed to snatch all their souls, preventing them from suffering in the Warp.

Even the souls of a large number of Space Marines, Custodes, and Grey Knights Forces warriors were transformed into the Binding Legion by the Emperor.

But Noah was still very unhappy.

The primary enemy in this matter was the Aeldari; if not for their actions, the Imperium of Man's World 108 would not have suffered such terrible losses.

However, if one bypasses the existence of the Aeldari and looks directly at the essence of the problem, then the Chaos Gods of the Warp are the real trouble and problem.

The four Chaos Gods of the Warp are utterly chaotic beings; these fellow humans sacrificed themselves because of the existence of these Chaos Gods.

The Aeldari must all be eliminated, but the same goes for these four Chaos Gods of the Warp; none of them will escape, they must pay the price for everything they have done today.

This war with the Chaos Gods not only caused immense losses to the Segmentum Tempestus World 108 but also gave Noah some inspiration.

Indeed, with the current power and the rules represented by the four Chaos Gods, eliminating them would undoubtedly incur huge losses, even causing irreversible damage to the universe.

But that doesn't mean Noah can't fight back and retaliate against them.

This war indeed caused Noah heavy losses, and at the same time, it allowed him to see the origin and essence of these Chaos Gods of the Warp.

Targeting their origin and essence, Noah decided to develop a psionic virus bomb.

This war allowed Noah to determine the true nature of the four Chaos Gods of the Warp. Although the Psionic virus bomb he developed couldn't do much to these four Chaos Gods, it could make them suffer for a while.

Since our the Emperor can only sit on the golden throne and endure painful torment, why should they be free to cause trouble outside?

They should also be tormented!

Noah began to immerse himself in his research, determined to let these four guys truly experience what it means for a scientist's revenge to last from morning till night.

At the same time, he would let Nurgle, the so-called Plague Lord, experience what a true virus is.

Playing with viruses, what is he?

When a Level 10 scientist is provoked and decides to retaliate against certain entities, no one can escape this retaliation.

The opponent had better pray that they are part of the cosmic rules, like the four Chaos Gods, so that forcibly eliminating them would affect the universe.

Noah began his research in his lab, while Corvus Corax, after walking out of the lab with his brothers, stood rooted to the spot.

Lion and Angron were doing what they had done before: leading armies out to fight.

Guilliman was managing the Imperium and stabilizing its overall situation. Guilliman was formerly the ruler of Ultramar, and he did this very well, one could say with ease. Only he... Corvus Corax was the liberator of the Imperium. He liberated countless worlds during the Great Crusade, but he only handled the liberation; subsequent management was handled by Imperial officials, by the Department of the Interior.

This meant that, in reality, his so-called liberation did not lead to the ideal society he envisioned.

Now that Noah had given him such an opportunity to realize his ideals and ambitions, how should he proceed?

Corvus stood rooted to the spot, unsure how to proceed.

Fortunately, Noah's Segmentum Tempestus, World 108, was efficient; he had already prepared a complete leadership team and administrative structure for Corvus.

So, even though Corvus Corax had not yet issued his directives, the remaining worlds in the Segmentum Tempestus World 108 began to operate efficiently.

The populace began to resume their daily production and work, while the wounded were continuously transported to hospitals for treatment.

Furthermore, to rebuild their homes as much as possible, they needed more resources. Therefore, even without Corvus' permission or input, they spontaneously began salvaging warships in space.

The scale of this war was too immense, and the Imperium's losses were too great, resulting in Imperial derelicts scattered throughout space.

If these derelicts could be brought back to the planetary surface, they would be a valuable resource for rebuilding their homes.

Countless Imperial warships began salvaging derelicts in space.

Corvus stood rooted to the spot and saw countless streaks of light taking off from around him, heading towards the galaxy.

Of course, Corvus was, after all, the Sector governor of the Segmentum Tempestus World 108 appointed by Noah. Therefore, even as he stood there and the various worlds began to recover in an orderly fashion, officials from the governor's Mansion still sought him out.

"governor, please come with us to the governor's Mansion. There, you can easily observe the entire sector's situation and adjust your arrangements accordingly, which is much simpler than merely standing here."

Several Department of the Interior Officials performed an aquila salute to Corvus and invited him to the Sector governor's Mansion first.

Corvus turned his head to look at the Department of the Interior Officials who had come for him. He watched them silently for a long time before speaking.

"Then, thank you for your trouble, please lead the way."

Although he didn't know exactly what to do or how to create the ideal society he envisioned, Corvus' greatest strength was his ability to learn.

It didn't matter if he didn't know; he would first understand how the Department of the Interior in the World 108 sector operated, learn and summarize from it, and then seek Noah's advice on whether it was feasible.

He was good at learning.

"You're too kind. We have already prepared a shuttle for you. We expect to arrive at the Sector governor's Mansion in 10 minutes, Terran standard time. Please be prepared."

"As your deputy, there is one thing I believe I should explain to you first."

"When you arrive at the governor's Mansion, there may not be a traditional Imperial welcoming ceremony, because the sector is currently in ruins awaiting reconstruction. The two of us are only able to be here because we are officials directly under the governor."

The lack of a welcoming ceremony was nothing to Corvus, as he himself wasn't fond of them.

After his adjutant led him to the Sector governor's Mansion, Corvus immediately entered a working state.

The losses in World 108 were simply too immense; vast amounts of resources were continuously being transported from the core 28 Worlds and other parts of the Imperium, but... resources alone were not enough. The entire World was now devastated.

Although a large number of robots were shouldering the heavy responsibility of rebuilding the homeland, the factories had completely shut down. Corvus was facing a chaotic situation.

Faced with such a dilapidated scene, Corvus quickly got into gear. Relying on the knowledge his adjutant had imparted and the series of things he had learned previously, he began to handle the reconstruction of World 108 with ease.

First, the planets lost in the Segmentum Tempestus World 108 temporarily needed to be set aside. Beyond that, the first step was to restore the production capacity of Ideal city World, and then, with Ideal city World as the core, radiate outward to other Worlds.

This was Corvus' current idea; he was now working on restoring the capital planet of this star sector first.

Corvus' handling earned Noah's praise; his series of actions greatly satisfied Noah.

After watching Corvus work for more than 10 days, Noah finally withdrew all his attention and began to single-handedly create things that could retaliate against the Chaos Gods.

The Imperium of Man was frantically licking its wounds and recovering, while also beginning its counterattack against the Chaos Gods.

The Imperium entered a rare period of rest during this time, but there would never be much time for rest. This toilet-like World was destined, given the Imperium of Man's massive size, to constantly encounter all sorts of troubles.

Just as Noah was leading his fleet and resting, the Tyranid Swarm arrived!!!

The massive war successfully caused heavy losses to the Imperium of Man's army, and how could the great devourer miss such a perfect opportunity?

Although the great devourer's main body was still far from the galaxy, and the main force of the Tyranid Swarm was also far from the galaxy, with the stagnation of the war in the Segmentum Tempestus, a new hive Fleet entered the galaxy.

Six months later, as Noah was testing the effectiveness of his newly developed equipment against Chaos Daemons, Trajan once again found Noah.

"Warmaster! We're likely in big trouble again." Just like the Eldar's conspiracy before, Trajan's expression this time was equally grim, even more so than the war against the Chaos Gods.

"What's wrong, Trajan? Has something else happened?" Noah said, putting down a small bomb he had been holding in his hand.

Don't underestimate this thing; this is the virus bomb targeting the Warp that Noah developed over the past six months.

Warp Daemons are born from emotions, and this virus bomb Noah used also feeds on emotions. Once it is deployed in the Warp, it can devour a large amount of negative Warp energy.

Because of the heavy losses suffered by the daemons in the war in the Segmentum Tempestus, the Warp itself had become clearer, and a large amount of negative energy was eliminated, which clearly showed what these Chaos Daemons were all about.

This was Noah's revenge; he would use these bombs to destroy some of the negative energy within the Warp, while also allowing the virus bomb to further extend its reach.

These things would either massively devour the negative energy in the Warp, then naturally degrade after 560 generations of decomposition and differentiation.

Or the Chaos Gods themselves would personally intervene to eliminate these entities that devoured the negative essence of the Warp.

Noah believed that these Chaos Gods would not just wait for his bombs to disappear.

What he wanted to do was force those Chaos Gods to personally intervene, thereby delaying them and preventing them from causing more trouble for humanity.

Time!

All he lacked was time, and it was precisely because of his appearance that time, which was originally the least scarce thing in 40k, became the most scarce.

Trajan glanced at the bomb Noah had just put down; he could feel the destructive power contained within it, but he quickly refocused his attention on the matter at hand.

"The Tyranids have invaded. We have detected a massive Tyranid Fleet on the edge of the galaxy. They will reach the Imperium's frontier in just four months."

"Their attack direction is from the Ultima Segmentum."

"And their method of attack should be similar to the hive Fleet Leviathan. They may be able to bypass the heavily defended frontier regions of the Imperium and directly penetrate into the Ultramar 500 Worlds of the Ultima Segmentum."

Trajan provided a detailed report of this intelligence to Noah, and to ensure Noah was sufficiently alert, he also explained in detail the scale of the Tyranid Fleet currently detected by the Imperium.

"Because this fleet was discovered by Forge World Apophis, we have named this Tyranid Fleet 'Apophis.'"

The fundamental terror of the "Apophis" Tyranid Swarm lies in its galactic-scale physical size. When this swarm was detected, the Custodes had already dispatched fleets to strike and scout it.

And the Imperial scholars on board were horrified to discover that the despair-inducing trillions of bio-ships of hive Fleet Leviathan might only be the vanguard force of one of "Apophis'" main tendrils.

Compared to the original hive Fleet Leviathan, this dispatched hive Fleet truly seemed like the Tyranid Swarm's actual vanguard, unlike Leviathan, which was merely a reconnaissance squad.

"Its main force's detected gravitational anomaly covered a range of several thousand light-years, as if a moving nebula was devouring the starlight along its path."

What was even more lethal was its fractal network structure. Unlike traditional fleets that rely on a single hive Mind, "Apophis" was composed of countless highly autonomous "swarm units."

Each unit possessed its own hive Queen and a complete biomass recycling system, making the entire fleet extremely difficult to completely destroy.

Although they were still led by the great devourer, the great devourer seemed to have delegated its consciousness, granting this powerful Tyranid Fleet some autonomy.

In battles outside the galaxy, the Custodes had already deployed two Patrol Fleets and a large number of Custodes soldiers as the main attacking force, but even if the Imperium paid a huge price to sever one or two of its tendrils, the other units could not only continue fighting but would also rapidly analyze battlefield data and evolve more targeted bio-weapons.

Trajan came to Noah to report, naturally not having deployed the Custodes for battle yet. It was precisely because he had deployed the Custodes to fight the Tyranid Swarm that the Custodes knew the scale of this fleet was too large.

Of the two Patrol Fleets Noah had assigned to the Custodes, one titan ship was even destroyed by the Tyranid Fleet during that battle.

Unlike the Warp Daemons, this Tyranid Swarm attack appeared to be a greater threat.
