Chapter 1 - The Shadow Monkey in El Palacios

In a world where crime was a normal thing, there was a city called Malvera. That night, a grand party was being held at the city's biggest hotel - El Palacios.

Everyone was there, enjoying the celebration - the rich, the powerful, and even the gangsters. The whole city seemed to be gathered in one place.

On the 16th floor, a 40-year-old man stepped out of the bathroom, where a naked girl was taking a bath. As he entered the bedroom, another naked girl was waiting for him. He pulled her close, but she said,

"You've already used this condom."

The man noticed it and ordered another one.

After a while, a lady from the hotel staff arrived at his door. When he opened it, she looked terrified.

"What happened? Are you okay?" he asked.

Before she could answer, someone kicked her from behind. The man looked up and saw a 25-year-old girl with short hair, wearing a formal gangster outfit. Her face was familiar - he knew her. He tried to speak, but before he could finish a word, the girl fired a bullet straight into his head.

The man dropped dead instantly. The only word that escaped his lips before dying was, "Yams!" - the name of the girl who killed him.

---

The party turned chaotic. Everyone was panicking, doubting each other. The hotel staff and owners tried desperately to control the situation.

On the 10th floor, two men in their early 30s were having sex when they heard gunshots echoing through every corridor of El Palacios. Gangsters were fighting, shouting, and killing each other.

Frightened, the two men ran out of their room - still naked. Suddenly, a gangster appeared in front of them and shouted,

"I'll kill you! You gay bastards!"

They froze in fear. The gangster aimed his gun and pulled the trigger - but just then, someone grabbed one of the men's hands and pulled him away at full speed. The other man wasn't so lucky - he fell, dead.

The man who was saved began to cry, realizing his partner was gone. But he kept running, dragged by the mysterious person who had rescued him.

When they finally escaped from the chaotic hotel, he saw that the person who saved him was a woman. He was shocked - escaping El Palacios alive was nearly impossible at that day.

The girl handed him a towel to cover himself.

"Why did you save me?" the man asked.

"I wanted to save both of you," she said. "But I could only manage one. And I saved you... because I wanted to."

"Oh God, why did this happen?" he exclaimed.

"God didn't do anything," the girl said calmly. "I did. I killed that man."

"What?! So my Duke died because of you? You bitch!" he shouted.

"You'll find another one," she replied coldly.

Furious, the man tried to hit her - but before he could, the girl suddenly collapsed, unconscious.

When Yams woke up, she found herself in someone's apartment.

"You're awake," said a man's voice.

It was the same man from last night - the one she had saved.

"I'm Blake Moreno," he said. "What's your name?"

She replied, "call me Yams."

Blake wanted to ask her about the murder, about her past - but he started with something else.

"You were the suspect last night, but you saved us so smoothly. How did you do that?"

"I learned it from Monterra," Yams said. "It's called the Shadow Monkey Technique."

Blake was stunned. Monterra was a village known for its noble people - not assassins.

"So you're a gangster," he said. "You kill people for your boss."

"Not anymore," Yams replied. "Right now, I have to kill them... or they'll kill me."

"But why?" Blake asked. "You have to stop this, Mama."

Yams was surprised. "Mama?" she echoed.

Blake smiled nervously. "Yes. You're pregnant... you're gonna be a mama."

Yams froze - part shocked, part knowing this day would come.

"I don't know how he will take this," she said quietly. "He'll probably kill me... and my child."

"Who wants to kill you?" Blake asked.

Yams took a long pause, thinking deeply. Then she whispered the name:

"Victor Black."

Hearing that name, Blake stood up. A drop of sweat ran down his forehead.

The silence that followed carried the weight of power - the name Victor Black said it all.
